Chapter 163 - Chapter 54: Chance Encounter

Irisviel handed all the luggage she brought to the maids who flew with them. She and Saber walked towards customs empty-handed. The maids would return home directly after delivering the luggage to the Einzbern villa in the suburbs of Fuyuki City.

The Holy Grail War was about to begin, and this time, Irisviel was unwilling to stand idly by. Therefore, to avoid implicating innocent people, she had the maids return home immediately. With this determination, she handled many affairs around her alone. Fortunately, Saber was by her side.

Immigration procedures were quick. Now only a few steps remained to reach the main hall, and the rest should be resolved quickly. But soon, they encountered an official who seemed somewhat agitated, rude, and rolling his eyes. This made both of them feel a sense of unease.

"Indeed, there's something wrong with my clothes, isn't there?"

People moving through the hall all looked at Saber, so she muttered uneasily.

"I think it's because you're too beautiful."

Irisviel could only give a wry smile, as quite a few gazes also fell on her. The truth was, both of them were exceptionally beautiful. Whether it was their peculiar clothing or their never-before-seen combinations, everything appeared harmonious and fitting. The reason people stared was not out of strangeness, but out of enchantment, casting envious glances.

"...Let's go, Saber. Don't mind them."

Irisviel said, pulling Saber's hand, while Saber hung her head, looking dejected.

"Since we've come all this way to Japan, before the war begins, let's go have a big meal."

"Irisviel, it's not about eating or not eating..."

Irisviel half-dragged Saber, skipping towards the waiting lounge. Saber looked at her expression, and for some reason, she seemed to see a brightness she had never seen before.

Like a princess unaware of the world, or rather, like a child... The two left the airport, got into a car, and soon arrived in Fuyuki City.

The car stopped at a park. As soon as the car stopped, Irisviel immediately ran out and pulled Saber to walk around.

"Kiritsugu should have arrived by now, right?"

"Yes, he should be half a day ahead of us."

"Then, Irisviel, aren't you going to contact him?"

"If he needs us, he will definitely contact us."

"What do we do after that?" Saber found Irisviel's lack of plan and purpose unbearable.

"Well... we'll see!"

Saber looked at Irisviel, opened her mouth, and with a hint of helplessness said, "So... we have nothing to do right now?"

"Exactly!"

Seeing Saber's bewildered expression, Irisviel happily said, "We've come all this way, it wasn't easy, so let's go shopping!"

Without further ado, she pulled Saber's hand and walked resolutely in one direction.

"Sh-shopping?"

"Irisviel, don't let your guard down, we are already on the land of this war!" Saber reminded her, her tone very serious!

"Saber can definitely sense Heroic Spirits, right? You can definitely protect me, right?" Irisviel seemed completely unconcerned about enemies.

"Y-yes! My perception limit is 200 meters. Of course, if the opponent has some special ability, it's hard to say!"

Irisviel turned around, facing Saber, "Then that's how it is, besides..."

"What's wrong, Irisviel? Is there some hidden reason...?" Saber pressed, seeing Irisviel's sudden hesitation.

"I... I'm doing this for the first time..." Irisviel hesitated for a moment, then finally said, "I'm leaving home for the first time... Before... I always lived in the Einzbern castle. This is my... first time coming to the outside world..."

"I was just a doll created for the Holy Grail War, so there was no need for me to go out. Grandfather told me that..."

Irisviel's tone dropped, but then she smiled happily and said, "So, I'm very happy now. I accidentally overdid it, sorry!"

"Ah? No, it's nothing..." Saber didn't expect Irisviel to have such an experience. She was a bit surprised for a moment, then suddenly bent her slender elbow and pointed at Irisviel, "Although I'm also here for the first time, protecting the princess is a knight's duty. Although I'm not quite there yet, I'm trying. Please!"

"...Thank you!" Her voice was soft, but the next moment, Irisviel hooked Saber's arm.

"Let's go!"

Even in the bustling area, the combination of the two still attracted countless eyes. A silver-haired beauty hooked to a handsome young man, like a princess and her king of knights from a fairy tale.

For the ordinary Fuyuki City citizens, such a scene, usually only imagined or seen on TV screens, appearing in reality before their eyes, brought them an immense shock!

Saber and Irisviel just walked, occasionally stopping to carefully examine items in shop windows, smiling slightly, but not entering, continuing to walk.

Until... "Hmm?!"

"Hmm?! King Arthur?"

It wasn't until Irisviel and Saber accidentally met a girl on the street who looked almost identical to Saber, and that girl's subconscious exclamation, made in an unexpected moment of distraction, immediately created a tense atmosphere!

Saber's gaze towards Jeanne instantly changed. Jeanne, realizing she had let slip, was stunned and muttered, "Oh no, Master said not to conflict with other teams' Servants for now."

Hey, hey, hey, girl, you did that on purpose, didn't you! It must have been on purpose! Aren't you clearly telling the other party that you are a Servant, and that they have already exposed their identity, and even the true name of your own Servant has been exposed? How can this end peacefully?

Saber stood in front of Irisviel, fully shielding her behind him, as if facing a formidable enemy... or rather, it was a formidable enemy. He sternly warned his Master behind him:

"Irisviel, be careful. This guy, who came from who knows where and looks like me, is not an ordinary person."

Jeanne wasn't happy when she heard this and immediately retorted angrily, "As expected of someone who used to be a king, your words are so domineering. What do you mean I look like you? Did you patent this face? Saber~"

That last sound was definitely meant as a provocation, absolutely! This is definitely a witch's wicked humor.

With Jeanne's provocation, the atmosphere between the two immediately became tense. Saber gritted her teeth in silent hatred. Unseen, the situation became very disadvantageous. Class and true name were all exposed. If this were to spread, Saber's team would be completely passive before the first battle of the Holy Grail War even began.
