ROMAN's POV
She clung to me with fierce, trembling desperation, her legs wrapping tightly around my waist as her nails dug into the bare skin of my shoulders. Her sweet, intoxicating scent filled my nostrils, heavy with heat and wet slickness that made the wolf beneath my skin claw violently at my ribs.
I let my lips skid down her neck, leaving wet kisses along the way, my hands positioning itself just below her thighs, squeezing lightly.
Before I could carry her toward the bed, Vivienne planted both palms flat against my chest and shoved with a sudden, surprising force.
''Vivi?'' I managed to whisper under my breath as my boots stuttered backward over the polished floorboards until the backs of my knees slammed against the heavy mahogany frame of the Four-Poster bed.
She pressed downward on my shoulders, and I allowed my weight to drop onto the sheets, my eyes widening in shock as I stared up at her, my gaze darkening.
