Chapter 74 – Susanoo
At the watchtower by the valley entrance, Ryuya and Guy stood shoulder to shoulder, gazing toward the distant camp now lit by rising flames.
Suddenly—
A massive green skeleton soared into the night sky.
Under the glow of the fire, the enormous skeletal figure was impossible to miss. Green chakra flames flickered along its bones, radiating an overwhelming aura and terrifying chakra pressure.
"What is that?! Such powerful chakra!" Guy exclaimed in shock.
Ryuya recognized it instantly.
Susanoo.
Shisui had awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan… and unleashed the first form of Susanoo.
"Guy, the situation's turning bad. Be ready to provide support at any moment," Ryuya said gravely.
If Shisui had been forced to this extent, the danger must already be extreme.
On the battlefield, the raging flames consuming the supply yard had been mostly extinguished by torrents of water. Steam rose and dispersed rapidly in the heatwaves.
Within the mist stood the emerald giant.
"What… what is that?"
"That chakra… it's monstrous!"
The colossal construct was clearly not something to trifle with. Sensory-type shinobi could feel the immense chakra surging within it.
The giant was formed entirely from materialized chakra.
Some Kumo ninja began retreating instinctively, fear creeping into their eyes.
Inside the green Susanoo, Kakashi was equally stunned. Moments earlier, he had prepared himself for death under the overwhelming barrage—

"Shisui!"
Turning to question him, Kakashi froze when he saw Shisui's exposed eyes.
The three tomoe had transformed into a strange new pattern.
A chill ran through him.

Shisui, however, had no spare focus for Kakashi. His entire will was concentrated on controlling Susanoo.

As he poured more ocular power into it, the green skeleton evolved. Veins and muscle rapidly formed over the bones, cloaking it in a layer of condensed chakra armor.
Simultaneously, a massive spiraled blade materialized in its right hand.
The second form of Susanoo.
With the spiral sword raised, Shisui drove Susanoo forward.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Each swing of the blade triggered earth-shaking explosions, every casual strike rivaling a powerful A-rank ninjutsu.
Meanwhile, the combined attacks of the Kumo shinobi had no effect whatsoever. They could not harm Susanoo—or the two within—at all.
"Is this… the power of a god?!"
A Kumo Jōnin cried out in despair as Susanoo steadily advanced toward the valley exit.
The Kumo forces struggled desperately to entangle the monstrous avatar.

Amid the chaos, several figures appeared atop a slope on the opposite side of the valley.
"So this is the legendary power of the Uchiha Clan… Just as overwhelming as the rumors say.
Send the signal. If BOSS doesn't arrive soon, the losses will be too great."
The white-haired, dark-skinned Darui stared down at Susanoo, his expression grave.
As one of Kumogakure's elite young shinobi, already an elite Jōnin, Darui knew far more than ordinary ninja.
"It's Konoha's Anbu Team Eleven. All four are here. The other two are at the valley entrance."
Beside him, C scanned the entire valley with his sensory abilities.
In mere seconds, he had pinpointed the positions of all four members.
"Even Iwagakure is close to making a move. Once they do, Konoha will face enemies on two fronts. Of course they're desperate to end the war quickly."
Samui, expression cold, released a signal flare into the sky.
"To go this far just to deal with four shinobi… BOSS really thinks highly of them."
"Don't underestimate them," C said solemnly. "Lord Killer B and Lady Yugito personally led operations before—and still failed to capture them.
This plan was arranged by the Raikage himself.
All four members of Anbu Team Eleven are true prodigies. Continuing this stalemate serves no purpose. If Konoha wants to end the war—we'll give them that chance.
But those four must pay the price. We cannot allow them to fully mature."
Samui nodded slightly. "Understood. We strike once BOSS arrives."
On the battlefield, protected by Susanoo, Shisui and Kakashi had advanced several hundred meters.
But constant interference from Kumo forces slowed them considerably.
Though Susanoo's defense was absolute, maintaining its second form placed a tremendous burden on the young Shisui.
Pfft!
A mouthful of blood sprayed from his lips. His body nearly collapsed.
He was reaching his limit.
"Shisui!" Kakashi caught him quickly.
Outside, Susanoo began to change.
The spiral sword vanished. The armor and flesh dissipated, reverting to the skeletal first form.
"He's faltering!"
"Attack!"
Excitement surged through the Kumo ranks.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Ninjutsu and explosive-tagged kunai bombarded the green skeleton. The towering figure trembled on the verge of collapse.
On the watchtower, Ryuya's expression shifted.
"Not good. Shisui can't hold on. I'm going in!"
Without hesitation, he leapt toward the battlefield.
"I'm coming too!" Guy followed instantly.
Ryuya didn't stop him.
The distance between them and Kakashi's position was now less than three hundred meters. Extracting them quickly was the priority.
"More enemies!"
"They're trying to rescue them—stop them!"
Dozens of Kumo shinobi split off to intercept.
Ryuya formed hand seals without hesitation.
Summoning Technique!
Boom!
Thick white smoke billowed across the battlefield.
A massive blue-green serpent emerged.
"Green Snake!"
With a sharp command, Ryuya directed the great snake to surge forward toward Shisui and Kakashi.
