Riverlands, near the Kingsroad
Following the issuance of the order, the soldiers of the Northern Allied Forces quickly put down their current tasks and began to gather in front of the camp.
Since they had already entered the territory of the Riverlands, where rivers were everywhere, the troops quickly formed a semi-circular defense with a river at their back.
"Wooo..."
As the soldiers organized their defense relying on the river and the camp, the cries of the Mo Sha Hounds came from afar—a howl mixed with pain and madness.
When sunlight pierced through the dark clouds onto this land, it reflected a terrifying dead silence; facing such unknown existences, the soldiers of the Northern Allied Forces felt somewhat fearful.
With bursts of roars appearing on the road in the distance, the blood-colored Mo Sha Hounds charged over, shrouded in dust, their sharp claws glinting in the sunlight like the scythes of the Grim Reaper.
The light infantry in the lead stood closely together, overlapping their shields like tiles to form a dense and orderly military formation.
"Raise shields! Face the enemy! Spearmen, ready!"... Under the command of Roose Bolton, the heralds passed the orders down bit by bit.
"Roar..."
As the Mo Sha Hounds drew closer, Jon directly signaled the Drakon to roar. Upon hearing the Drakon's roar, the soldiers of the Northern Allied Forces were instantly filled with confidence.
Their faces were filled with determination and courage, their eyes revealing a thirst for victory; in their view, they had a true dragon on their side.
With their hearts slightly steadied, the soldiers gripped their spears tightly, their eyes fixed on the pack of Mo Sha Hounds ahead, waiting for the heralds' orders.
"Ready!"
"Thrust!"
The speed of these Mo Sha Hounds was extremely fast; in just a few breaths, they had already charged to the front of the formation.
At the command, the soldiers behind the shields thrust their spears out at an angle, adding countless spikes to the indestructible shield wall. The Mo Sha Hounds, surging like a tide, crashed directly into the resilient defensive formation composed of soldiers.
"Wooo..."
These fearless Mo Sha Hounds let out shrill howls after crashing hard into the spear formation, while those not hit by the spears targeted the bottom.
The Mo Sha Hounds crouched low, attempting to tear through the soldiers' defense line with their teeth and claws. Unfortunately, against this fish-scale-like shield formation, their attacks had no effect at all.
"Spears out!"
Amidst the shouts of the heralds, the spears appeared and retracted like a whack-a-mole machine; every strike would stab a Mo Sha Hound to death.
Under the active efforts of these light infantrymen, the entire military formation was like an indestructible wall, fending off the attacks of the demon hounds one by one.
The battle grew increasingly brutal. The demon hounds continued to fall under the soldiers' siege, and a pungent, foul stench spread through the formation.
The tips of the soldiers' spears were covered in blood and yellow-green matter, looking both terrifying and disgusting, yet they still showed no fear, standing firm like reefs.
"That's enough. Let the Mages take action!"
At that moment, Jon's voice suddenly echoed across the battlefield.
As the Mo Sha Hounds' offensive weakened, Jon timely issued the attack order, preparing to let the Mages deliver the final slaughter to these creatures.
As Jon's gaze shifted, everyone on the battlefield also turned their eyes toward the Mages, especially Roose Bolton, who had long wanted to witness the power of these Mages.
Following Jon's command, the Mages who had been on standby in the center army appeared behind the shield formation.
They wore uniform dark purple cloaks and held dull yellow magic books. With their appearance, the space in that area seemed to begin to warp.
Compared to "Fire" magic which fired in a straight line, the "Lightning" that attacked vertically seemed to be more useful. This magic could strike the Mo Sha Hounds on the ground more accurately, and its power was also greater than "Fire."
"Ready!"
Just then, the voices of the heralds rang out. They had seen the flags waving from the center army and knew it was time to direct the Mages to attack the targets.
"Release!"
At the heralds' shout, the Mages simultaneously opened their magic books. Guided by their thoughts, bolts of lightning appeared directly from the void, instantly striking the enemies on the ground.
"Boom, boom, boom..."
"Crack..."
"Wooo..."
Lightning flashed and thunder roared. Those on the battlefield not involved in the fighting were instantly shocked by this powerful force.
After being struck by lightning, the Mo Sha Hounds let out cries of agony, their bodies twisting under the effect of the electricity before they collapsed to the ground.
Some Mo Sha Hounds were directly blown away by the terrifying shockwave generated by the lightning, only managing to stand up after knocking down several of their kind.
However, after standing for only a few seconds, they would instantly go limp again because the terrifying lightning attack had already shattered their internal organs.
The Mages' attacks were continuous as they kept releasing lightning magic, eliminating the Mo Sha Hounds clustered together on the battlefield one by one.
After the attack continued for several minutes, the entire battlefield was filled with a burnt smell. Under such terrifying and bloody slaughter, the instinct to sense danger within the Mo Sha Hounds was triggered.
Sensing danger, those Mo Sha Hounds that were lucky enough to escape a disaster wailed and ran into the distance.
Jon nodded with satisfaction as he watched the battle draw to a close. These Mages were indeed very useful, but unfortunately, their resistance to physical attacks was truly too weak. In a large-scale battle, their losses would multiply.
Only in situations like this, where the enemy had no long-range attacks, could these Mages exert their greatest effect.
"Whole army rest and reorganize. Tomorrow morning, we strike the Twins directly!"
"Yes!"...

A few hours later, guest room, The Twins
"Huff, huff, huff..."
Amidst the sounds of exhausted breathing, a middle-aged bald man who looked somewhat similar to a vampire from Blue Star recovered from his sleep.
"Cough, cough... He's really hard to deal with! This guy..."
After struggling to recover his body, Ganev climbed out of bed. He looked somewhat weak at this moment, a dark aura showing on his pale face.
After taking a ruby from his bosom, Ganev stood up from the bed and walked quickly to the desk on the window side of the bedroom.
There, a finely crafted Myrish round mirror sat quietly. After placing the ruby on the mirror...
A strange ripple appeared on the round mirror, and with it, a blurry figure appeared on the mirror's surface.
"Ganev!? What's wrong with you?"
As the figure on the mirror gradually became clear, a middle-aged man with an alpaca-style side-parted hairstyle also appeared on the mirror.
"That Aegon Targaryen is too terrifying. All my arrangements have failed, especially the Mo Sha Hound army I painstakingly summoned, which also fell at his hands!"
"The Demon Lord said long ago that this guy's power is not at all weaker than his. You were still not careful enough. So, what are you going to do now?"
Naegor was very surprised by Ganev's words. In his view, such arrangements and strength should have been able to stop the army from heading south, but he hadn't expected them to fail directly.
"I have already made arrangements in the Twins. These people of the Weasel family will all become my pawns. In the face of immortality and power, these guys actually dare to believe anything!"
Ganev spoke directly after thinking of something.
"I knew you wouldn't disappoint me. Then I'll wait for your good news. Anyway, the Riverlands are now in your hands. I still have to help Lord Tywin handle things here. Those existences with the same power as us are truly difficult to deal with, but they should soon become my puppets."
Naegor had always highly valued this partner. Ganev had a real knack for manipulating human hearts; he believed this guy would definitely make the enemy feel what true pain was.
"I will leave after completing the final arrangements. This guy seems to have a power to transform into a dragon. We must be careful. If it really doesn't work, I think we should summon that thing!"
After finishing his plan, Ganev unconsciously thought of Jon again.
Jon's difficulty was no less than that of their creator, the Demon Lord. Therefore, during this time, he had been thinking about how to deal with Jon, this unsolvable existence.
"Let's save the final killing move for the very end! We still have a lot of people we can use. If we expose our strength too early, we might be feared by these guys again."
After hearing Ganev's suggestion, Naegor was slightly moved, but he quickly rejected the proposal because, in his view, he still had many powers he could use.
"These nobles still possess strong power. As long as we use them well, we can still cause harm to that Aegon Targaryen. Once our Demon Lord has completely recovered, we can take over this world entirely."
"Hmm! Well, you're right. These nobles here still have strong influence. Only by completely wearing down their strength can we easily occupy this place later."
After hearing Naegor's suggestion, Ganev also nodded, suppressing the restlessness in his heart.
