Chapter 103 - Chapter 103

"Let itself... take?"

Metis looked at his sudden expression and knew he understood. She continued to explain, as if stating a simple truth:

"The world's law, thirsting for life force and variables, the world bubble suspended in the void, constantly seeking 'nutrients'... The system itself possesses a strong 'suction'."

"We don't need to forcibly carve a wall, but rather... create a 'bait' within our world that it finds irresistible. A world law emitting strong life energy and full of infinite possibilities, enough to make the hungry world law take the initiative and extend its 'tentacles'... towards a coordinate."

Her gaze grew deeper, as if she could see a picture of the future.

"When the coordinates appear, the world's suction will naturally lock onto it. At that moment, without our payment, the world itself will open a channel and draw the coordinates... along with everything around the coordinates... towards itself."

"All we need is to..." Metis's red lips parted slightly, uttering words full of calculation, yet extremely elegant.

"Prepare a 'gift', and then wait patiently."

She looked at Hades, her eyes shining with wisdom and a hint of mischief.

"Compared to the hard work of sending beacons out, isn't this more labor-saving, and... more interesting?"

Hades understood. His thinking had always been confined to 'active attack', but he had ignored the more efficient and hidden path of 'passive attraction'.

Metis's return was not only the return of wisdom, but also the return of a strategy that transcended common sense and skillfully utilized all rules.

"Bait..." he repeated softly, his gaze returning to the mirror, and countless plans began to be constructed from a completely new perspective.

Metis watched with satisfaction as he regained his composure and wisdom, gently leaning against the armrest of the throne.

"So, my dear fool... what 'gift' have you thought of preparing?"

Metis's words unlocked dusty memories and ideas within Hades.

He immediately recalled a disguised identity, long forgotten in the long river of time—Orphos, the 'plant god' created by Gaia, the Earth Mother Goddess.

The embodiment of the power of plants, symbolizing life force and natural power, was undoubtedly an excellent bait to attract the world law that 'thirsts for life force and variables'.

"Orphos, the plant god," Hades spoke, a cold light of planning flickering in his violet eyes.

"Using him as a base to create an embodiment with a part of the primordial power of plants, as a..."

"I disagree."

Metis interrupted him softly but firmly.

She stepped forward, placing her slender fingers on his hands, covered by his cold ones, and looked at him. Her deep eyes were no longer pure wisdom and calculation, but were tinged with a clearly noticeable possessiveness and an undeniable firmness.

"I have just returned, my king," a barely perceptible tension sounded in her voice.

"How can I let you—even your embodiment—separate from me again and go alone into an unknown and dangerous world? Even if it's just bait, it's not acceptable."

Hades was slightly startled and looked at her.

After the curse was lifted, he could feel the strong unease and protectiveness in her emotions more clearly.

This created a peculiar contrast with the calm appearance of her goddess of wisdom, yet it was extremely real.

Metis saw his silence, and her tone slowed, but with a deeper stubbornness. She even pouted slightly, revealing an almost coquettish look: "You can prepare a 'gift'. But this 'gift' must be held by us together."

She extended her hand, her fingertips drawing in the air, summoning the water vapor of the Underworld to outline the phantom of a strange plant, with roots deeply embedded in the water, and leaves stretching out on the water.

"I want a gift," she looked at Hades with blazing eyes.

"A plant in the water. Born in the waters of my Styx, rooted in your earth (Hades), yet yearning for the world outside the water, symbolizing communication and life force. Use it as the core."

She proposed a final, more risky plan:

"Introduce a part of my divine consciousness and a part of your power into this embodiment, centered on the concept of 'plants in the water'. Let us jointly integrate and control this 'bait'."

This proposal genuinely surprised Hades.

This was no longer merely creating embodiments, but fusing the essence of two gods to create an unprecedented existence.

The risk was, without a doubt, higher, and once the avatar was damaged in that world, both would be implicated.

But the benefits were equally obvious—this 'bait' would contain the power of both Hades and Metis; its allure and potential value would increase exponentially, and it would be completely under their joint control.

"One body... two souls..." Hades murmured softly.

Metis's eyes were fixed on him, with anticipation and a slight, undeniable insistence.

In the end, Hades met her gaze.

He saw in her eyes an undeniable willingness to share, and rationally agreed with the strategic superiority of this plan.

"Yes." He made the decision.

No superfluous words were needed; they acted simultaneously in silent understanding.

Hades raised his pale palm and invoked the authorities in the deepest part of Hades.

The purest water of death from the depths of the Styx and the ancient origin of the silent earth were extracted by him, mixed with the vigorous life force contained in the [Plant] divinity.

And Metis began to construct the embodiment.

She closed her eyes, and from her fingertips poured a stream of wisdom, as bright as a galaxy, which was an extension of her divine consciousness, containing infinite knowledge, strategies, and... desire.

This ribbon gently and firmly flowed into the foundation built by Hades.

Under the guidance of their shared will, a hazy figure gradually appeared within the vortex of divine power.

It had no clear gender characteristics; its body was smooth and graceful, as if at the most ambiguous critical point between boy and girl, and seemed to transcend this binary definition.

Its skin possessed the flexibility and vitality of plant leaves. Its hair was like hanging dark green algae, moving without wind, flowing to the rhythm of knowledge and life.

The avatar hung quietly there.

This was their shared creation—a 'bait' full of deadly allure, cast into the unknown world.

Metis looked at their joint work, her eyes shining with the satisfaction and anticipation of a creator.

She gently leaned against Hades and whispered:

"Look, our 'Narcissus'... is ready."
