Chapter 139 - Chapter 139: Welcome to My Universe!

"Mr. Watcher, after you."

Jovian made a polite gesture toward the Watcher.

The Watcher nodded lightly and stepped up to the golden Spacetime Gate. As he looked inside, he frowned. He was not sure if it was just his imagination, but something about the place on the other side looked strangely familiar. Especially the man in the red cloak, the one drawing circles in the air and casting spells. From that man, the Watcher could sense the power of Agamotto, Oshtur, and Hoggoth, the three-in-one Vishanti.

"What is this…?"

The Watcher seemed to realize something in an instant and started to turn around.

"Get fucked!"

Before he could face Jovian and ask what was going on, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his backside. A tremendous force slammed into him from behind while his attention was divided.

"Ow!"

The Watcher let out a cry as his body tumbled forward and rolled straight through the gleaming golden Spacetime Gate.

"Eat shit, Watcher!"

As soon as Jovian saw the Watcher go flying through the portal, he flipped him off, then shut the portal the moment the Watcher's entire body had passed through.

After being kicked away by Jovian, the Watcher rolled several times through the sky on the other side before finally stopping.

"The main universe? How did I end up in the main universe?"

Holding his oversized bald head, the Watcher looked around and immediately understood where he was.

"I did it?"

Stephen Strange, who had been halfway through drawing a spell circle, stared blankly at the suddenly appearing Watcher. He was stunned. He had actually managed to contact the Watcher. Better than that, he had somehow pulled the Watcher directly in front of him. That was incredible.

"No, wait, that can't be right. I was only halfway through the spell."

Stephen's face was full of confusion.

"Celestial!"

Before Stephen could process any of it, the Watcher, who had just appeared in front of him, suddenly shouted and charged up into the sky.

"What the hell is going on?"

That only left Stephen even more confused.

"The unknown spacetime traveler has successfully connected the X-Men universe to the MCU's main Avengers universe and sent my brother from another universe to this place to help Doctor Strange fight the Celestial Arishem. At this very moment, Arishem is standing there in total confusion after getting smacked across the face by my brother. Honestly, just looking at how miserable he is almost makes me feel sorry for him…"

"Heh. I'll explain the rest later, because who could possibly pass up the chance to jump a lone Celestial? Now then, everyone, please enjoy this from my perspective and watch a stupid Celestial get the hell beaten out of him by a Watcher!"

The Watcher of the MCU's main Earth rolled up his sleeves and joined in on beating the hell out of Arishem.

Back in the X-Men universe, after kicking this universe's Watcher away, Jovian turned his attention toward Earth.

With a wave of his hand, a deep violet portal formed in front of him. He stepped through it and instantly returned to Earth.

"Mr. Apocalypse, you're back…"

"Mr. Apocalypse, has the enemy been defeated?"

"Mr. Apocalypse, is Earth safe now?"

The moment Jovian reappeared in front of Charles, Erik, and the others, the people who had been lying on the ground from sheer exhaustion all forced themselves back to their feet and showed him the greatest respect they could.

"The enemy has been completely dealt with. Earth is safe."

As he listened to everyone questioning him at once, Jovian nodded and gave them a firm answer.

The moment they heard that, the tension left them all at once. Waiting had been the hardest part. Before they knew Earth's fate, even lying on the ground to rest had felt impossible. Better to get a fast answer, live or die, just make it clear. Now that they finally had one, they could breathe again.

"Mr. Apocalypse, what do you plan to do next…"

Charles wanted to ask what Jovian intended to do now.

"You don't have to call me Mr. Apocalypse anymore. Just call me Jovian."

Jovian shook his head and told them his real name.

Everyone was a little speechless after hearing that. So whether it was Apocalypse or Jovian, the Roman king of the gods, it was basically the same kind of name anyway.

"Mr. Jovian, what do you plan to do next?"

Charles still changed the way he addressed him.

"As for what comes next…"

Jovian smiled after hearing Charles's question.

"Next, I'm going to lead all of you into a brand-new world."

"A brand-new world?"

Charles froze. He did not understand what Jovian meant by that, or whether it matched anything he had in mind.

"Are you planning to rule the entire world?"

Charles asked carefully. If Jovian's answer really was that he wanted to conquer the planet, then no matter what punishment he might face, Charles felt he had to try to talk him out of it. He would have to tell him that conquering the world was wrong.

"You're right, but not entirely right."

Jovian smiled at Charles again.

"Right, but not entirely right?"

Charles was completely lost now. He had no idea what Jovian meant anymore.

"When I say I'm leading this planet into a new world, this is what I mean."

Jovian did not explain any further. More words would have been pointless. Instead of slowly trying to make Charles understand, it was easier to show him directly.

Jovian raised both hands, and in an instant, the entire fabric of space cracked like glass. Then a strange mass of energy wrapped around the whole Earth, cutting it off from the universe it had belonged to.

A thunderous hum rolled down from the upper atmosphere, and a gigantic Spacetime Gate appeared above Earth. The golden gateway grew larger and larger until it was big enough to swallow the entire planet.

"What the fuck?!"

Charles stared at the enormous Spacetime Gate in total shock.

Before Charles or anyone else could say another word, the golden gate descended.

By the time everyone realized what had happened, they had already arrived in an entirely new universe, one with a solar system, eight planets, and another Earth that looked both strikingly similar to and completely different from their own.

And the instant that Earth arrived in this solar system, the solar system had nine planets once again.

"What the hell is happening?"

In that brief instant, everyone on mutant Earth and on the Earth unified by Nolan was completely stunned.

"Welcome to my universe!"

While everyone on the pyramid was still trying to make sense of what they were seeing, Jovian floated in the air beneath the shining sun like a true god and made his declaration to the people below.

His voice crossed the vacuum between planets and rang directly in the hearts of every person on both Earths.

"I know all of you have a lot of questions, and I'll answer them one by one."

"We are not alone in the universe. There are countless Earths across countless parallel universes, and all I've done is allow two Earths that should never have met in the multiverse to meet each other. There are many things that make us different, but even more that make us the same. We are all human, and we will all fight for the interests of humanity!"

Jovian's voice boomed across both worlds, explaining everything to every confused soul.

"The multiverse? Different Earths?!"

"Are there really countless versions of us in the world?"

"This is unbelievable…"

Everyone on both Earths was shaken by Jovian's words.

"Mr. Jovian, are all the people on that Earth mutants too?"

Magneto, Erik Lehnsherr, flew up into the sky and came before Jovian, asking the question that weighed most heavily on his mind.

"No."

Jovian shook his head.

Magneto's expression immediately darkened with concern.

"They aren't, but they could be. They aren't now, but they will be in the future."

Seeing Magneto's concern, Jovian shook his head again and patted him on the shoulder.

Magneto's eyes lit up immediately. Just those two short sentences completely erased all his previous worry.

"Don't worry about anything. You just need to trust me."

Jovian looked at Magneto and spoke in a calm, slightly husky voice that somehow carried a strange power of its own.

"I understand."

After hearing that voice, the worry in Erik Lehnsherr's heart relaxed all at once. The only thing he had truly been concerned about was the issue of mutant survival. If that was no longer a problem, then he had no reason left to worry.

"Erik, Hank, and Charles, I'm going to introduce you to some scientific assistants of mine. I want the three of you to work closely with them and help complete humanity's overall evolution."

Jovian looked at Erik, Hank, and Charles as he spoke. He had already decided to bring all three of them into his top-tier scientific research group. After all, all three were experts in biology or psychic science.

"Humanity's overall evolution?"

Erik paused, turning those words over in his mind. He did not fully understand what Jovian meant.

"You and I both know that mutant genes have flaws. My goal is to create a stable serum that can eliminate those flaws in humanity, so that among mutants there will no longer be Epsilon, Delta, or Gamma-level power classes with obvious defects. I want every mutant awakening to start somewhere between Beta and Alpha. That would eliminate a great deal of weak genetic inheritance, raise the level of human evolution overall, and also effectively increase the chances of Omega-level mutants being born."

Jovian explained exactly what he wanted to do.

"I'll devote everything I have to that."

After hearing Jovian's plan, Erik nodded firmly and said he would throw his entire strength into it. In Erik's eyes, what Jovian wanted to do perfectly aligned with what he himself had always wanted. For mutants, for the evolution of humanity, he would give it everything.

"I'm in too."

Hank agreed as well. He wanted to use this kind of serum to solve his own problem, because the Beast form was, frankly, not a look he enjoyed living with.

"In that case, of course I'll do everything I can as well."

Charles looked at Hank, then at Erik. Since both of his friends had already been persuaded by Jovian, he did not have much else to say. Honestly, Jovian's plan aligned rather well with Charles's own ideals.

"Thank you for joining me."

Jovian expressed his gratitude to Erik and Charles. His team had grown again, and if he wanted to prepare for multiversal invasions, there was no way he could do it alone. He needed enough forces behind him.

Only with enough strength would he be able to successfully invade certain special worlds.

"All right, get some rest for now."

"Once you've recovered from your injuries, we'll continue researching humanity's evolution."

Jovian did not keep disturbing the mutants, all of whom had suffered injuries of one kind or another during the Sentinel invasion. After saying goodbye to Charles and the others, he returned to the other Earth.

"Jovian, what exactly is going on here?"

The moment he got back, Nolan came straight to him. He had heard Jovian's voice too, and he had just as many questions as everyone else.

"Father, just like I told you before, all I did was pull an Earth from another universe into this one. It's nothing major. They'll become part of our forces too."

Jovian explained where that suddenly appearing Earth had come from.

"So that means it's another planet with humans on it, and because you thought it looked useful, you dragged it from some corner of the universe into our solar system?"

Nolan could not make sense of all this multiverse talk, but he could interpret Jovian's words in his own way.

Jovian raised a brow after hearing that.

"You can think of it that way."

It was not an entirely accurate explanation, but if you treated the multiverse as a single whole, then it was close enough.

"You did a damn fine job. That's my kid!"

Once Nolan had confirmed his guess, he slapped Jovian hard on the shoulder. Seeing a planet he liked and just taking it, that was an incredibly Viltrumite move.
