(Sapphire's POV)
Damian had not replied me, but I didn't think much of it because his phone rang at that moment.
Whatever the caller had said must have gotten to him because I watched as his face went from annoyed to shocked…Ana what almost looked like fear.
I stood up from the soft Persian carpet I had sat on and walked closer to him.
"Put it on loud speaker." I mouthed.
He nodded and did as I had asked, that felt nice because to me it meant he was willing to let me in.
"What is that supposed to mean?" He asked whoever was on the other side of the phone.
"Wrong question, Mr Blackwood. Try again." The person said. It was a male voice and it sounded like he was faking it.
Probably using a device to make his voice sound different.
Damian stayed quiet for a while and I knew he was trying to control his temper.
What had the person said to make him so tensed?
"Where is she?" He asked calmly even though his face looked like it was brewing up a storm.
