(Third Person's POV)
Victor Montgomery sat so still that it looked like he was an immovable object.
He and the mastermind were in complete shock at the news they had received from their man.
"So you are telling me that the chef refused to kill him and rather chose to die instead?" The mastermind asked.
Victor did not answer, because he felt it was a rhetorical question.
"I am asking you a question!" The mastermind snapped.
Victor sighed tiredly.
"We listened to the call together, didn't we?" He snapped back.
The mastermind stood up slowly, like a predator, and walked over to where Victor was sitting.
"What was that?"
Victor readjusted uncomfortably. "It's… I'm just very tired, I'm sorry." He muttered.
"I can't hear you."
"I said I was sorry."
"Good. Now, never forget who is in charge here, and if you ever speak to me like that again, you will explain to people why you don't have an ear." The mastermind coldly said.
