Chapter 334 - Chapter 334: Tony Forgets His Wife

"Mordo, found him."

After hearing the name, Steve went to the library to look up the records. As for the remaining two sorcerers who were only half-dead, they followed the previous three. No matter how much magic power was channeled into them, they could no longer absorb it, as if their containers had been shattered. It was a pity that Steve could not save the lives of those two powerful sorcerers, but he quickly found the information on Mordo. Even if the identities of magic learners were not highly emphasized, there were documents recording the contributions of these learners. This was not arranged by the Ancient One, but done spontaneously by each librarian. In just over a dozen short lines of text, the contributions Mordo had made and the reasons for his departure from Kamar-Taj were described.

"Another sorcerer who has fallen into the dark arts!?"

After reading about Mordo's performance at Kamar-Taj, Steve sighed with emotion. Unlike Kaecilius, Mordo was a nobleman, a baron, with a very noble lineage and powerful magical talent. For someone with such a bright future, as long as he didn't court Death, taking over the position of an Elder of Kamar-Taj, or even the position of Sorcerer Supreme, wouldn't have been a big deal. Yet, such a person had gone astray, and for unknown reasons, because the records here were simply too sparse.

"Perhaps some people are born with an evil side!"

Lamenting over his fellow apprentice, Steve sighed. Kaecilius had sought power, but for what reason had this one done it? He only knew that Mordo had prepared to ambush the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One, but was discovered by her, and only then did he betray Kamar-Taj. The cause of the incident back then was not recorded, and Steve dared not make any rash judgments; after all, this 'Master Brother' was considered his senior.

"I must tell Senior Sister Artoria about this matter so that she can be prepared."

Thinking of this, Steve took out a piece of paper and began to write. Truth be told, he really wanted to send an email or a message on Facebook to Artoria, but unfortunately, he didn't have Artoria's email address, nor was he friends with her, so he had to resort to this clumsy way of writing a letter. Rashly showing up to talk about this might be seen as having ulterior motives. Women's affairs were always troublesome; better not to provoke them if possible, to avoid leaving behind a bunch of gossip. Anyway, writing a letter and using magic to send it wasn't slow, and it was a way to make her vigilant. Moreover, he also had to tell Artoria about the huge figure that appeared in Earth's sky. Quickly finishing what he wanted to write, Steve cast a spell on the letter, and it instantly turned into a dove and flew out the window.

"I hope Earth can survive this crisis!"

Glancing at the shadow of the flying dove, Steve said with worry. Next, he had to deal with the hellish creatures. These things were like scattered ants, with no discernible pattern at all. It was one or two here, one or two there, or sometimes a dozen appearing together. Mid-level demons were rarely seen; they were all low-level ghouls or skin-peelers, which was simply too disgusting. If it weren't for the fact that Kamar-Taj had a large number of sorcerers who could use mystic rings to open portals, he would probably have collapsed from exhaustion by now! But the more this happened, the more Steve felt that the person pushing this matter was definitely not simple.

"Not tired yet? It seems the low-level demons are no longer enough; quantity can never keep up with quality."

Mephisto stood on the mountain, watching the demons at the foot of the mountain being easily dealt with by the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj without the slightest sign of fatigue. This made Mephisto realize that it was time for the low-end demons to exit. So, let the mid-level demons come next! However, because mid-level demons were much stronger than low-level ones, opening a dimensional channel to summon them into this world was very strenuous, and he couldn't summon too many.

"This world will be mine sooner or later."

When the humans below began to clean up the corpses, Mephisto left that sentence and vanished into the wind, perfectly demonstrating the true meaning of cowardice. He would never stay in one place for too long, fearing being tracked down. Besides, he needed to find some strong physical bodies to summon demons to possess, so that he could save a lot of energy and quickly escape if discovered.

"What is this?"

After receiving the package from Artoria, Tony opened it happily. It was actually a glass container with a black, squirming thing inside, which made Tony's Happy smile freeze on his face. What on Earth was this? This question echoed in Tony's mind. Why did his dear sister send him such an ugly thing? It looked very much like a squirming slug. After putting the item down, Tony found a USB drive. Tony went to the computer, inserted it into the USB port, and began to observe the contents. There weren't many videos, but there were quite a few 'acquaintances' inside—an Nick Fury Big Bald Head, and a guy holding a bow and arrow like a chick. Wasn't that Hawkeye Barton and S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick? What on Earth were they doing? The video was in fast-forward, seemingly an experiment. After carefully watching it bit by bit, Tony understood that this thing was not a creature from Earth.

"Such a creature is very unique; let me study it first!"

He didn't expect his sister to give him such an interesting thing. He was very curious about why such an alien creature would attach itself to a human body, and why a person who was 1.8 meters tall would turn into a monster over two meters tall when covered by this thing. Those mouthfuls of sharp teeth were definitely the characteristics of a carnivore, which meant this thing ate meat. From the way it approached that ancient person holding a bow and arrow, it indicated that it was preparing to feed, so it was certain that this thing ate people.

"A very dangerous creature, but I like it."

After seeing the characteristics of this creature, Tony's scientist heart awakened. Far from being disgusted by the Symbiote's man-eating nature, he found such a creature very interesting. He wanted to understand these things thoroughly, but he hoped that the small amount he had wouldn't be used up before he finished his experiments. Thinking of this, Tony sent an email to Artoria, hoping that Artoria could give him more body tissue of this creature; he needed to carefully analyze this thing.

"Where has Pepper been lately? Jarvis."

Just as he was about to seclude himself for experiments, Tony finally remembered the figure of Pepper, whom he hadn't seen for days. He rubbed his eyes and asked Jarvis. He had been too busy during this time. To take Jarvis's computing power to the next level, he had assembled several more cloud calculators. Building a space fortress on the Planet was not an easy task, and he was afraid that Jarvis's computing power wouldn't keep up. Recently, he had been like a construction foreman, directing various small robots to assemble tools on the Planet. These things were originally complete, but to bring them into space, he had split them into several parts to assemble them on the Planet. Everything had been going very smoothly. Now, suddenly relaxing, he remembered that he still had a wife.

"Sir, Ms. Pepper is with Ms. Artoria."

Hearing this, Tony breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, she hadn't run off with Happy and given him a green hat. As long as she hadn't run off with a man, then everything else was fine. She could stay with Artoria for as long as she wanted; he was a very generous man and would never restrict the free life of his other half.

"Let her stay with Artoria for now! I can't attend to her for the moment."

After thinking about it for a while, Tony decided. He was very busy now; on one hand, there was the space fortress, and now there was an alien life form. In the eyes of a scientist, such things were huge projects, even more exciting than drinking concentrated stimulants. Tony was currently having a blast and had completely forgotten about his wife.
