Chapter 258 - Chapter 258: There's Always an Accident at a Superhero's Wedding

"As expected, how could a villain not show up for a superhero's big day?"

The wedding was in progress. Most of the attendees were prominent figures. To ensure the wedding wasn't disrupted by the media, Tony had moved the ceremony to a private island. Guests had to fly into a small local airport and then take a car to the venue, so those present were all high-profile individuals. The photographers were the top in the industry and had signed non-disclosure agreements. However, Artoria always suspected her older brother might be trying to avoid supermodels he'd slept with showing up for revenge or money with children of unknown origin. Not just Artoria, but Pepper had similar thoughts. As mentioned before, this was a deserted island that had been renovated, surrounded by water on all sides. Before the wedding could conclude, a massive tsunami surged toward the island. Jarvis issued an alert to Tony, and Saturday issued an alert to Artoria.

But even facing such a scene akin to a natural disaster, Artoria simply made a silent remark. She had seen her share of storms; for such a small amount of power to appear here and represent the ocean to judge humanity, Namo seemed a bit overconfident. Even the will of the Earth, Gaea, had never acted like this—who did he think he was? Artoria already knew this tsunami wasn't naturally formed. First, there was no wind at all, and second, Gaea knew Artoria was here and would never unleash such power. Artoria could sense an unfamiliar power within the giant wave, which was already fifty meters above sea level; she was certain it was man-made.

The most striking sight was a guy in a green skin-tight suit on top of the fifty-meter wave, holding a large trident and standing as if on solid ground. How could he possibly evade satellite detection? With the vision granted by her Dragon Eyes, Artoria saw the guy surfing on the tsunami without any effort.

"His target isn't here; he's just passing through. But disrupting my brother's wedding is a bit unacceptable. So today, this guy has to kneel."

With a quick calculation of the tsunami's path, Artoria understood Namo's intentions. The wedding disruption was just a coincidence; the deserted island just happened to be situated between the tsunami and the United States' border. She had Hope and the others protect Howard, Maria, and Pepper, who was still in her Wedding Dress, as they evacuated. Artoria glanced at Tony, who was wearing what looked like a half-finished new Iron Man Suit. She knew she couldn't stop her brother this time; after all, anyone who disrupted a man's wedding day was already on the groom's hit list, not to mention this groom didn't have a particularly good temper.

"Sir, I must say, going out in such a half-finished product is not a wise choice."

Having already donned the as-yet-unnamed new suit, Tony couldn't listen to Jarvis's words at all. He never expected the wedding he had planned for so long would be disrupted. He was full of rage and wanted to vent, but as a genius, he maintained a shred of reason. Although this suit was a prototype and hadn't been tested, certain parts were perfectly fine. As long as the power and weapon systems worked, that was enough. Today, he was going to give this arrogant seafood product with the big trident a profound lesson.

"Jarvis, today, Daddy is going to teach you what it means to turn the impossible into the possible."

With a smile, Tony tapped the new energy Arc Reactor on his chest. A layer of energy protection film instantly covered the suit, and the nano-metal limbs began to transform. Small thrusters suddenly appeared at his hands and feet. In an instant, Tony took off from the ground, flying toward the tsunami.

"Honestly, still so impulsive."

Artoria glanced at her parents and the girls who had already retreated to the plane. A golden light enveloped her. When the light faded, that familiar silver knight armor appeared on her body. Flourishing the Holy Lance Rhongomyniad in her hand, Artoria summoned Touka. With her legs slightly bent, she leaped onto Touka's back. Golden light also enveloped Touka, and when it dissipated, armor matching Artoria's covered Touka's body completely.

"Let's go."

Holding the reins with one hand, Artoria's slender hands exerted force, and Touka's pure white wings flapped gently. Artoria arrived beside Tony in an instant. This speed was so fast that Tony was startled. He turned his head and saw his sister actually riding a winged horse from a novel, overtaking his own speed.

"What kind of creature is that? Jarvis, look it up for me."

For such a creature to exist was truly a violation of Darwin's theory of evolution. Tony felt it was very unscientific. Then he thought about that King from Asgard who could use a lightning-charged hammer; if he existed, then perhaps flying horses did too. He remembered there was also an Old Timer from decades ago who was still alive, wasn't there?

"Sir, this creature has a 90% similarity to the unicorn from fairy tales that only approaches beautiful virgins, except it has grown wings like a Pegasus."

In less than a second, Jarvis gave Tony the answer, but the answer made Tony roll his eyes. Could he stop stating the obvious? However, hearing about its habits, he breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed no 'pests' had come to harass their family's little princess; that was great. Artoria was also a good girl who kept herself pure; that was wonderful. All of this made Tony feel very gratified, and even his anger from moments ago lessened.

"Artoria, go back. I'll teach this arrogant guy a lesson myself. Just watch me knock his teeth out."

While feeling relieved, Tony spoke to Artoria, who was flying alongside him. Hearing Tony's words, Artoria rolled her eyes speechlessly. 'Even though you're my brother, the whole family is out to vent their anger. If you do all the fighting, what am I supposed to do? I want to vent too, okay? I haven't stretched my muscles in a long time. I'll let my Rhongomyniad fire off a few magic cannons first.' Artoria didn't answer Tony and instead increased her speed. Seeing this, Tony understood Artoria's intent.

"Fine! I won't stop you, but retreat if there's danger."

Faced with his sister's disobedient behavior, Tony was clearly helpless. He could only let Artoria participate in this battle because the enemy was right before them. Tony accelerated and lunged at the guy standing on the tsunami. Since neither side was slow, Tony's speed was faster, and he grabbed the unsuspecting Namo by the waist and carried him away from the tsunami. This left Artoria, who was planning to release her Noble Phantasm on Namo, stunned for a moment.

"I can't use fire or lightning. Once a large amount of steam appears, a steam explosion might occur. Lightning would also electrolyze hydrogen. Given the volume of this tsunami, it would probably cause an explosion like a hydrogen bomb, which would be trouble for the surrounding seas."

Namo had been taken away by Tony, but the tsunami was still there. Artoria had a bit of a headache now. Fire Release couldn't be used and might not be effective anyway. Lightning was out of the question, and her Noble Phantasm wasn't quite suited for handling this. Artoria thought for a moment and, with some heartache, took out a blue tachi emitting cold air. This tachi was the Goushinnin Memento's... cough! It was the Frozen Naraka, the imitation spirit blade. Although Master C-ma and C-jie could use ice, they weren't specialized in it and couldn't resolve such a massive tsunami. Now Artoria could only try the ice blade. Although she had drawn this blade back then, she had never used it. Now was its time to shine. She just hoped she wouldn't fail.

"I'm counting on you."

Seeing the tsunami's unstoppable momentum, Artoria looked at the cold blade in her hand and sighed. She drew the ice blade from its scabbard. In an instant, the temperature around Artoria dropped by over ten degrees. The moisture from the incoming tsunami condensed into frost and fell from the sky. Artoria didn't mind; she held the ice blade with both hands and poured magic into the Soulium within the blade. She didn't know if magic could replace honkai energy, but it didn't hurt to try.

"It seems to work!"

"Ultimate Skill: Random Eight Slashes... I mean, Frigid Sky Wild Dance!"
