Chapter 126 - Chapter 126: Cosmic Adventure

Life in Space is boring. Only now did Artoria understand how lonely it is for humans to stand in the Universe. Fortunately, Susan's occasional pestering added some color to her life. By the second day in Space, the only ones who could maintain their mental state were Reed, Victor, and Artoria. The two men were actually competing with each other. As for Susan's brother, Johnny Stone, he had long since wilted and basically didn't leave his room. Ben, being a pilot, was in better condition.

However, flying under Earth's gravity and traveling through Space are two completely different concepts. His state was only slightly better than Susan's. Thanks to Artoria's presence, Susan's spirits were holding up reasonably well.

"This kind of mysterious power is something I've never seen before. If it can be used rationally, perhaps! It could truly achieve theoretical things like Wireless Energy."

Reed spoke excitedly to Artoria and Victor. He felt as if he was touching humanity's greatest step toward future progress, and it was now in his hands. Although Reed was very emotional and his excitement even brought a happy smile to Victor's face, Artoria remained silent. Her intuition was constantly alerting her; a massive amount of energy, devoid of malice, was approaching them, and it was getting faster and faster.

"Record all of this; these are all treasures."

Victor spoke solemnly to Reed, feeling a sense of relief. He had given up sitting in a comfortable office and brought all his assets to fund this plan. If they returned empty-handed, his company would face its greatest crisis, and those ungrateful wolves would likely turn around and bite him to death.

"The recording time is one hour, then we return according to the original plan."

They hadn't brought many cloud computing machines this time, otherwise he would have insisted on recording for a full day to be satisfied. But for now, recording the form and wave energy of the Cosmic Storm would suffice; they couldn't come all this way for nothing. Every day in outer Space, they were burning through massive amounts of U.S. dollars, which made the poor Reed's eyes turn a bit green. Well, it was just heartache over so much money, but the harvest this time would be far more useful than that money.

"Susan, tell Ben not to stay outside too long."

"Okay."

As Victor spoke to Susan, his gaze unconsciously shifted to the silent Artoria, sliding down from her face. That black and blue tight suit looked so alluring on Artoria, especially those oversized breasts. How could a normal man not feel the blood rushing downward? But they were all wearing tight suits! If a 'flagpole' were to rise, it would be such an embarrassing situation in front of two ladies.

Realizing he was having a reaction, Victor awkwardly looked away. He wasn't Superman, who could wear red underwear on the outside without feeling embarrassed. Miss Artoria's figure was truly great; if he could marry such a beautiful lady, he would be willing to live fifty years less just to be with her. What a pity! This beautiful lady seemed to have no feelings for him at all; no matter how much he hinted, he never got the response he wanted. This disappointed him greatly. However, the necklace on Miss Artoria's chest was really nice—where did she buy it? He meant the necklace, not the breasts, don't misunderstand.

"Mr. Reed, I hope your ideas come true, but I still have something to say to you!"

"The infinity of the Universe is beyond human imagination. Living in this dimension, we might just be a tiny grain of sand in the eyes of other dimensions. Mr. Reed, you still need to work harder!"

Artoria sighed inwardly. She really didn't know how to treat this earnest scholar. Sometimes one shouldn't be too impatient for success—take the tragedy in the Marvel Zombies Universe, for example, which was caused by his counterpart. She hoped he wouldn't turn this place into a zombie world because he was too eager for results.

"I understand, Miss Artoria."

Reed was a smart man; hearing Artoria's words, he instantly understood her meaning—telling him not to be too proud. This caused his smile to fade slightly, and his previous excitement was well-tempered. Science is a road without an end; it seemed he had been overjoyed.

"No, you don't understand, and you'll understand my meaning very soon."

Artoria complained about Reed in her mind. Her words had another meaning: don't be crushed by a sudden failure. And this failure was getting closer and closer. Within her intuition, Artoria could already feel that massive, suffocating energy.

"Why did the data suddenly spike so much? What's going on?"

Just after Artoria's internal complaint, the data on the computer indeed began to change. Reed looked at the off-the-charts data on the screen, his mind going blank. What on Earth was happening? How did it suddenly become like this? But as a future superhero, he also sensed that something was wrong.

"Ben, come back quickly! Don't stay outside, the Cosmic Storm might be coming!"

Remembering Ben was still outside, Reed quickly adjusted to Ben's communication system and spoke urgently, telling him to hurry back. Hearing Reed's words, Ben also scrambled toward the hatch. Susan and Victor both sensed that something was wrong, while only Artoria sat there calmly, her hand on her waist, ready to equip her battle suit at any moment. By the way, the Sentry Serum containing Raven's blood that Artoria had brought up was currently tucked between Artoria's breasts; she still hadn't learned her lesson from last time.

"Well then! A new storm has arrived."

While the people around her were panicking, Artoria's intuition told her it was here! That super-massive energy cloud. Artoria spoke in a low, quiet voice. In an instant, pink-purple cosmic rays completely enveloped them. Activating her Sharingan, Artoria could see the expressions on everyone's faces: Susan's was a secret, Reed's was shock, Victor's was solemn—Johnny was in his room so she couldn't see him. She could feel these rays penetrating her skin, entering her bones and cells, quietly altering everyone's cells.

Artoria felt the Dragon Factor, which hadn't stirred in a long time, now acting like a ravenous beast, greedily absorbing the energy of the cosmic rays. At this moment, every cell in Artoria's body trembled. Normally, cellular matters shouldn't be a problem, but Artoria felt an immense headache. It wasn't illusory pain, but a real headache. Humans have a Pineal Gland in their forehead with a structure similar to an eye; scientists once speculated that humans might have had a third eye in the past, and this third eye might have possessed strange powers.

Now Artoria's head felt like it was exploding, and blood began to stream from her nose. Clearly, her brain was struggling to withstand such a transformation. Currently, only she remained conscious; everyone else had already fainted. The cosmic rays pushed their ship-fortress to the edge of Earth before stopping. Artoria endured this so-called unknown transformation. The moment the Sentry Serum on her chest came into contact with the cosmic rays, the container shattered. The Sentry Serum was introduced directly into Artoria's body via the cosmic rays and was absorbed by the golden liquid closest to her heart.

The golden liquid that absorbed the Sentry Serum seemed to become a seed, starting to sprout and grow within Artoria's heart. Artoria was unaware of the changes in her body; all she knew now was that she was finally free. With a smile of relief on her face, she fainted.
