Seiha woke up early in bed, but she didn't leave the blanket immediately. For a moment, she stayed and listened to the soft humming sound coming from the kitchen.
She smiled and ran to the kitchen.
"Bro..."
She didn't call out. Instead, she just watched from the doorway. Kang Tae Jun stood near the stove. He was making breakfast for her.
It wasn't a big breakfast—just soup and rice.
And he added something simple: his efforts and love for making this for his sister.
Seiha stepped forward, but without looking behind, he said, "You wake up early?"
"How did you know?"
"I just know."
She grinned and hugged him from behind.
He paused and gently patted her head.
"First, go wash your face."
"I don't want to."
"Too bad."
She pouted but listened.
After breakfast, Tae Jun walked her to school. He always did this.
At school, everybody talked about hunters.
"Did you see the Kyoshu battle?"
"My dad said S-Rank are like gods."
"What about your brother, Seiha? He is also a hunter, right?"
"My brother is the strongest of all."
They laughed, but she didn't care.
Because to her, waking up early, cooking food, washing clothes, and keeping working for his family even when they're tired is true strength.
After school, Seiha walked home alone.
The apartment felt empty without her brother.
She always sat by the window waiting for her strong brother.
In the evening when the door finally opened, Tae Jun stepped inside, exhausted. But when he saw Seiha's smile, everything felt okay.
Because as long as he came back home, everything was okay.
