Annie read through the files of the werewolves and their abilities. Her eyes landed on Alex.
He was one of the Delta werewolves. His first ability was a sword, a standard ability amongst werewolves.
His second ability he gained after becoming a Gemma was what drew her attention. It was a sensing type ability.
It enhanced his nose to extreme levels. It grew even stronger when he became a Delta werewolf.
So powerful in fact he can see what happened through lingering scent as if seeing a record in time.
Of course the ability wasn't perfect, he couldn't actually see through time. If the scent of the target is overwhelmed by other scents, it's hard to see clearly.
He was also the leader of his own lineage, in fact the two werewolves with sensing abilities were members of his lineage.
