An entire week went by, Sanchez didn't go to work for the entire week, her partner Brown came to check on her.
He found her looking like a mess, she flinched the moment she saw him and looked genuinely scared.
" You're okay?" He asked with genuine concern making her heart feel warm, she smiled gently and nodded.

After talking for some time, Brown left and went back to work leaving her alone in her house.
She slumped on the couch and sighed heavily. " Damn I'm a mess." She whispered to herself mockingly.
