Chapter 102 - Movements on All Sides

Translator: AnubisTL

"It seems the commotion from my advancement was still too great," Jieming murmured, opening his eyes. An uncontrollable, shimmering light flickered within them—a natural overflow of his vastly enhanced mental power after his breakthrough.

Fortunately, drawing upon his experience from the foundation establishment realm, Jieming quickly regained control.

"We need to leave this place immediately!" Jieming declared decisively. "The commotion from my advancement has attracted too many unwanted guests. For each subsequent advancement, we'll move to a new location!"

"Agreed!"

"I concur!"

The trio quickly reached a consensus. Amy and Victor followed closely behind Jieming as they swiftly retreated from the underground chamber before the surrounding beast hordes could converge. Like phantoms, they melted back into the dark forest.

Having advanced, Jieming's aura became even more restrained, and his movements grew even swifter. Each footfall landed almost silently, making it difficult for Amy and Victor to keep up.

As the trio circled through the forest in search of their next advancement site, every inch of the Elosia Plane had become a battlefield.

Since tens of thousands of Noren Academy wizard apprentices had been "sown" across the Elosia Plane, this vast land had become their experimental arena.

Unlike traditional armies, wizards excelled in individual or small-team combat, a characteristic that defined their invasion strategy.

The battle between the wizard stronghold and the Elosian Allied Forces' frontline intensified.

The main force of wizards from the Noren Workshop had previously maintained a deliberate stalemate with the Elosian Gods Allied Forces.

However, the moment the apprentices entered the plane, the wizard stronghold's offensive suddenly intensified severalfold.

Blazing magical radiance tore through the skies as wizard-constructed rune fortresses advanced, and terrifying summoned creatures charged forward with deafening roars.

This ferocious assault was undoubtedly intended to divert the Elosian Allied Forces' attention as much as possible, creating more operational space for the dispersed wizard apprentices.

This allowed them to infiltrate and sabotage from the rear while minimizing the risk of being quickly eliminated by the Elosian Plane's powerful warriors.

Meanwhile, behind the Elosian Allied Forces' lines, the apprentices displayed their unique talents.

David landed like a mobile war fortress, charging straight into the nearest orc tribe's encampment without any hesitation.

The massive axe on his back crackled with earth element and metallic fury, each swing unleashing earth-shattering force.

His sheer power and destructive force turned every orc camp he passed into a wasteland of mangled limbs and scorched earth.

His attacks grew even more frenzied after the contribution points rankings were updated and Jieming surpassed him.

Before long, David's name had spread even among the indigenous peoples.

But this notoriety also meant his danger had increased exponentially.

Meanwhile, Seraphina Nightshade moved like a wisp of smoke dissolving into the darkness, infiltrating an indigenous town on the edge of the elven kingdom.

A master of illusion magic and stealth, her presence went almost entirely unnoticed.

Her goal wasn't destruction, but intelligence gathering.

She infiltrated every corner of the town, collecting maps, information on power structures, and various policies.

After obtaining legitimate credentials, she even attempted to sow discord, inciting factions dissatisfied with the elven court or certain divine beings to stage trial uprisings.

In a secluded mountain valley far from the battlefield, Kaelen Vania, now a first-tier wizard, immersed himself in studying ancient texts, delving into the mysteries of the Elosia Plane.

His goal was to construct massive rune arrays capable of disrupting the planar energy cycle on a grand scale or replicating indigenous divine arts to provide strategic support for the main wizard forces.

In a partially cleared underground space, Rex Magnus's heavy power armor hissed with superheated steam as he meticulously assembled his alchemy workshop.

Leveraging pre-fabricated production lines and his mastery of alchemy, Rex's underground workshop quickly reached operational status.

One after another, exquisitely crafted mechanical constructs rolled off the production line, lining up neatly within the excavated mountain cavern.

In this diverse and decentralized manner, the wizard apprentices were systematically infiltrating the Elosia Plane.

During this period, some apprentices, through their unique talents, successfully infiltrated indigenous factions and rose to positions of power.

Within a short time, some even became local chiefs, allowing them to deepen their concealment.

However, countless others, due to overconfidence, strategic miscalculations, or sheer bad luck, had their identities exposed or their hideouts discovered by the enemy.

Hunted down one by one by the Elosian Plane's powerful warriors, they paid the ultimate price.

As the wizard apprentices grew increasingly active, a heavy atmosphere hung over the magnificent palace at the heart of the Elosia Continent. This grand structure, supported by massive floating islands, housed a vast circular table where the leaders of various races had gathered.

They represented their respective peoples and the divine beings behind them: the human king clad in golden armor, the elf queen in her emerald robes, the short but resolute dwarf elder, the towering orc chieftain adorned with tribal totems, and even the dragon king, who retained his wings and tail despite assuming a human form.

Over a dozen leaders sat around the table, with thousands of attendants seated in rows of chairs behind them. Each attendant had a communication crystal before them, its faint glow linking them to frontline reports.

"The northern territory's offensive has intensified!" a human noble exclaimed, slamming his fist on the table. "The wizards' colossal mechanical constructs are advancing like madmen! The Thunder Knights have already suffered over half their casualties!"

"Our forest defenses are under immense pressure!" the elf queen said, her voice tinged with weariness. "Those creatures, seemingly spawned from the abyss, are endless. And now, new wizard summons have appeared—shadowy constructs that corrode life force!"

The meeting opened with a tense discussion about strategies to counter the sudden escalation of the wizard offensive.

After a heated debate and tactical adjustments, the orc chieftain growled impatiently, "Let's set aside the main force of those foreign demons for now. We need to discuss these 'Foreign Evil Gods' and 'new reinforcements'!"

By "Foreign Evil Gods," he naturally meant the high-rank wizards who had twice forcibly torn through the planar barrier, projecting colossal phantom images.

Though their staged "deaths" had successfully deceived the gods into believing the invaders' strength was limited, the sheer scale of those phantom images and the power to breach the planar barrier still left the indigenous races deeply uneasy.
