Chapter 252 - Chapter 252: Recovery

After Erza swallowed the black droplet, everyone grew tense, observing her closely for fear that something might go wrong.

Porlyusica asked, "How do you feel?"

Erza clenched her fist. "I feel the magical erosion has vanished; my body is regaining its vitality."

In her current state, she was confident she could take down Jackal within twenty moves.

Porlyusica nodded slightly. "It seems there's no issue with the antidote. Let's wait another day; if there are no adverse reactions, we'll give it to the others."

Everyone agreed, saying, "Alright!"

Erza found an empty spot and sat cross-legged, closing her eyes to carefully sense the situation inside her body with magic. This was a grave matter, and she dared not be careless... Ten minutes passed in a flash, and the Number One Dragon Slayer General arrived with three other generals. Seeing Erza, he said with a face full of anxiety, "Princess, are you unhurt?"

Erza smiled. "I'm fine, thank you for your concern."

She hadn't expected Number One to come in person, considering he had officially become the King.

"That's good!"

When Number One saw the scars on Erza, his eyes instantly flared with fire. He cursed, "Don't worry, Princess. Behind me is an army of two thousand Mages led by Number Eleven. I will surely wipe out those scumbags to avenge you!"

Number Twenty-One was a burly man in armor, his face twisted with murderous intent as if he had just stepped off a battlefield. He said fiercely, "Bullshit demons! It's just that the Fiore Kingdom and the Magic Council are too cowardly. Let them try coming to our kingdom!"

A bunch of bastards! They actually dared to bully the most noble princess of their Dragnof Kingdom; nothing less than chopping them into mincemeat would satisfy his hatred.

Seeing the generals so aggressive, Erza scratched her head awkwardly. "Actually, we don't need that many people. Without the Magical Barrier Particles, we in Fairy Tail could defeat Tartaros."

Number Thirty-One was a handsome man with golden hair covering his eyes, his voice bone-chillingly cold. "Rest assured, Princess. You need only wait quietly. I will skin the demons of Tartaros alive and hang them on the city walls to let the world know the consequences of hurting you!"

Mavis and Eclair felt a chill and shrank back. Who were these people? They felt even more brutal than demons.

Erza also felt somewhat helpless. "Really, there's no need. Tartaros isn't that abominable; they even sent the antidote over."

Number One patiently advised, "Princess, you are simply too naive. This was caused by Tartaros in the first place; isn't it only right that they send the antidote? You must never be deceived by them."

"In the end, they are just exploiting your compassion to plot against you later."

The more Number Twenty-One thought about it, the angrier he got. He immediately said, "Those demons are definitely not up to any good. Where are they? I'll go slaughter them right now!!"

His little brother Natsu had been taken away and was probably already being turned into soup by the demons; this was absolutely unforgivable.

Erza sighed. "Actually, we can't find them either..."

If they could locate the enemy, they would have attacked immediately.

Number One was somewhat angry. "What is that old man in the Fiore Kingdom doing? He doesn't do anything useful all day, letting Tartaros run amok. He's truly as cowardly as an old dog."

"And those useless fools in the Magic Council—scared witless by a single Dark Guild. They don't deserve the title of Ten Wizard Saints at all; I wouldn't even let them shine my shoes!"

If this were four hundred years ago, what he looked down on most were these useless freeloaders.

He was already considering whether to conquer the Fiore Kingdom so he could see the Princess every day.

Erza's face turned slightly red; her own Master was also one of the Ten Wizard Saints.

Number Twenty-One slapped Gajeel on the shoulder, knocking him straight to the ground, then lifted him up with one hand. "Brother Gajeel, haven't seen you in a while. You've gotten quite weak!"

Gajeel was furious. "Wait until I recover and try that again!"

This bastard had no idea how strong his grip was; he really wasn't afraid of slapping him to death.

Number Twenty-One laughed loudly. "Good, then I'll see how much you've improved."

Gajeel said confidently, "When I recover, I'll fight you to our hearts' content!"

The two were kindred spirits and soon began walking with their arms around each other's shoulders, even pulling out a barrel of wine to drink... Time reached the next day, and Erza's condition had returned to its peak with no abnormalities. The others no longer hesitated and immediately distributed the antidote for their companions to drink.

Soon, the companions woke up one after another, their faces glowing with renewed vitality.

Gray touched his chest. "The feeling of suppression is gone!"

"We're better!"

"Where is this? Eclair and Momon?"

"Is this the antidote Granny Porlyusica developed?"

Hearing everyone's confusion, Porlyusica said, "It wasn't me. Erza seized it for you."

Laxus was slightly surprised. "Erza?"

He had seen that Erza inhaled no fewer Magical Barrier Particles than he did. Not only did she not faint, but she even had this kind of combat power?

Could it be that Erza was stronger than him?

Mirajane smiled. "We were truly saved by Erza this time."

Everyone cheered excitedly, "As expected of our Titania, she's so reliable!"

Erza smiled. "As long as you've recovered, it's fine."

Her nerves had been strained for several days; now she could finally relax a little.

Lucy and Happy were somewhat confused. "Where did Natsu go?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the whole place fell silent, and everyone looked toward Erza in unison.

Erza explained the situation over the past few days and the fact that Natsu had been captured.

"Damn it, what exactly are they trying to do?"

Everyone was completely baffled. Other villains liked to explain their schemes to them, but this time the guys were keeping their mouths shut.

Makarov looked at Number One and the others and knelt on one knee, somewhat overwhelmed by the favor. "Greetings, King Number One. Thank you for coming to our aid!"

This was the necessary etiquette when meeting a King, especially since he had personally led a large force from thousands of miles away to help.

Number One hurriedly helped Makarov up. "You are the Princess's Master; there is no need to be so formal."

Even Lord Acnologia and Queen Irene had to call Makarov 'Master'; how would he dare to put on airs?

Everyone was shocked. "King?"

This was a bit exaggerated. A King of a country personally leading troops to help—did Fairy Tail have that much prestige?

Number One said with a smile, "I was General Number One before; it's just a change of title. In our kingdom, Lord Acnologia, Queen Irene, and Princess Erza will always be supreme!"

"Princess?"

Everyone looked at Erza, their mouths slowly hanging open. Irene was the Queen of the Dragnof Kingdom four hundred years ago, and now that kingdom still existed.

When Acnologia and Irene first revealed their identities, they hadn't thought much of it, but now they finally remembered—behind this family stood a colossal entity.
