"Let's end this!"
Irene felt that Dimaria had little power left. She reached out her hand, and golden magic surged: "Enchantment Magic: Separation!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the God Soul that Dimaria had Taken Over was instantly separated and vanished. Her entire being exited her Godly state, returning to her original appearance.
The sky returned to azure, and time began to flow again.
Dimaria felt a wave of weakness; her entire body's magic was drained, and her legs went soft. Fortunately, she used her long sword to prop herself up against the ground just in time to avoid kneeling.
She looked at Irene, her expression dazed, constantly muttering that it was impossible.
Irene stepped forward and said with a smile, "Why is it impossible? Where do you think ancient Dragon Slaying Magic came from?"
As for how super-ancient God Slayer Magic appeared, it remained unknown. It might have been taught by gods, formed naturally by heaven and earth, or perhaps researched and innovated by magical geniuses.
Seeing that the two had finished fighting, Brandish checked their injuries and asked curiously, "Can Irene break through time?"
From her perspective, the two hadn't moved from their spots. In one instant, Irene's clothes exploded; in the next, the ground shattered; and in another, Dimaria became weak.
"You win!"
Dimaria wasn't a sore loser. She lay directly on the ground and barked like a dog twice: "Woof! Woof!"
"There's no need to actually lie on the ground like a dog just to bark like one."
Irene reconstructed her clothes and walked over. She didn't recall the bet saying anything like that; just barking a couple of times would have sufficed.
Dimaria snorted, "I'll accept my loss. I just wanted to make it sound more realistic."
"Two barks should be enough, right? If not, I'll bark twice more. Woof! Woof!"
Irene and Brandish watched speechlessly. This girl might have some special hobby; she seemed to be having quite a lot of fun.
Brandish hurriedly helped Dimaria up, saying awkwardly, "Alright, alright, stop barking!"
Seeing her blushing and her heart racing, Dimaria couldn't help but ask, "I'm the one barking like a dog, so why are you blushing? Could it be that you've barked like a dog before too?"
Brandish said indignantly, "I have never barked like a dog!"
Seeing that this girl was acting guilty, Irene immediately sensed some gossip to be had. She leaned in and pressed, "Then was it meowing like a cat?"
Brandish's face turned beet red instantly, and she stammered, "Enough... stop guessing randomly!"
Dimaria and Irene watched Brandish's evasive behavior, getting the feeling that this girl had indeed done something like that before.
However, she usually had such a cold and lazy demeanor; how could she be associated with something like that?
Suddenly, Irene thought of something. She grabbed Brandish by the collar and pointed at the trash all over the ground, shouting angrily, "You bastard, did you steal my food again!?"
Brandish hurriedly waved her hands, "No, it was Acnologia who stole it."
Acnologia said speechlessly, "Say that again with your hand on your heart."
This girl is even better at making things up than I am. I'm still right here, and you're already pinning the blame on me. Have you no shame?
Irene naturally knew this little green-haired girl's character. She dragged her onto the arena and gave her a sound thrashing. By the time they came down, Brandish's face was black and blue.
However, the girl remained as stubborn as a dead duck, insisting she hadn't eaten it, making Irene a bit unsure of herself.
If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I might have actually believed you.
Just then, a large group of armored soldiers rushed over and surrounded the four of them. Leading them was a fierce-looking man with golden hair.
But when the golden-haired man saw Dimaria, his face turned as pale as ash from fright. He hurriedly knelt on the ground: "Madras greets Lady Dimaria!"
He never expected such a high-ranking figure to come to this small place. He hadn't believed it at first, but it turned out the people outside were telling the truth.
But what was with the bruised green-haired girl next to her? She looked a bit like Lady Brandish?
After he knelt, all the soldiers realized their boss had kicked a steel plate and hurriedly knelt down as well.
Dimaria was slightly puzzled: "General Madras, why have you surrounded this place?"
Madras held out his hand, showing a tiny yellow-haired person on his palm. He pointed at Irene and Acnologia, complaining tearfully, "My Lady, these two turned my son so small and even kicked him into the sea. He's still unconscious. You must seek justice for me!"
Brandish often came to this island to eat Starlight. Knowing what kind of person his son was, she immediately said, "Your son must have harassed Irene, otherwise why would she hit him?"
In fact, that little yellow-haired guy had also harassed her at the very beginning. It wasn't until her personal guard gave him a beating that he finally learned his lesson.
Madras was furious: "You ugly wench, who do you think you are? Do you have a say here?"
Brandish was stunned and pointed at herself: "What did you call me??"
She wondered if she had misheard. In the Alvarez Empire, someone actually dared to call her an ugly wench?
Madras was very displeased. Where did this clown come from, actually wanting him to curse at her twice?
Fine, I'll satisfy you!
"I'm talking about you, you ug—"
Before he could finish, Irene had used Enchantment Magic to transfer Brandish's injuries onto him. Madras gasped in pain.
But compared to the minor injuries on his face, after clearly seeing Brandish's features, he was scared out of his wits.
"No, no, no, no, Lan... Lan... ti..."
Madras stammered for a long time without managing to say her name properly. Seeing Brandish's face grow darker and darker, his body couldn't stop trembling, and he fainted on the spot from fear.
Two words flashed in his mind: It's over!
My career as a general, my life of luxury with women in both arms... it's all over!
My damn son screwed me over!
...Fainted from fear?
Brandish touched her fair and cute face, took out a mirror to check, and wondered, "Am I really that scary?"
"It's because this guy's mind is twisted. How dare he insult my Lanti!"
Dimaria looked at the trembling soldiers on the ground and ordered coldly, "Throw General Madras and that yellow-haired brat into the dungeon. Send them to the battlefield later."
This guy was clearly a general, yet he was pampered and fat. Aside from lording his power over people here, he was useless and should have been cleared into the trash long ago.
"Yes, My Lady!"
The soldiers responded in unison and then, at Dimaria's signal, all withdrew.
"Little green-hair, little gold-hair, you two have fun. It's getting late; big sister is leaving."
Irene stretched, planning to return to Ishgar. She had been out playing for half a month and didn't know how her companions were doing.
Brandish tried to make her stay: "How about having dinner together before you go?"
Irene raised an eyebrow: "Your treat?"
"Not mine!"
All her money went to buying desserts; she hadn't even received her salary yet.
The two of them simultaneously looked at Dimaria with deep gazes, giving her a look for her to interpret.
Dimaria was dumbfounded. "You two suggested eating; what does that have to do with me? I didn't say a word."
She suddenly looked at Acnologia: "What about you? You're a man, why isn't it your treat?"
Acnologia pulled out his empty pockets to show her: "Because I have no money."
He had only one principle: always take advantage, never lose out. Even if it were a beautiful woman, she shouldn't expect to get a free meal out of him.
Dimaria looked speechlessly; how could you say such a thing with a straight face? Only a fool would believe you.
She originally wanted to hold her ground, but the gazes of the three were too intense, staring at her without moving, making her skin crawl.
Three minutes later, Dimaria finally couldn't take it anymore and said helplessly, "I give up! Fine, I'll treat!"
"Thank you very much!" X3
