Chapter 205 - Chapter 205: Successive Eliminations

Everyone moving through the streets saw the golden streamers of light flying across the sky. Knowing it was enemy magic, they all moved to block it.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Several magic circles expanded, and one magic spell after another blasted out, colliding with the meteors and causing a series of intense explosions.

The area around Azuma transformed into a forest. He stood atop a large tree, looking into the distance: "Just who is drawing so much aggro, daring to use such a method right at the start?"

Kain Hikaru was still tinkering with his Curse Doll, asking in confusion: "Zancrow has been defeated, so what should the two of us do?"

Azuma said confidently: "It doesn't matter. A group battle might not work, but if someone wanders into my forest, no one can escape. We just need to wait for the end."

"That's not necessarily true."

A smiling female voice came over; it was Ultear and Richard from Lamia Scale.

"Ultear!"

Kain Hikaru was terrified. As a fellow member of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, Ultear was the one he feared most.

Azuma felt something was wrong: "Have you two teamed up?"

"As you can see!"

Ultear held her magic orb and directly activated the Arc of Space, causing all the large trees in front of her to vanish.

She smiled at their shocked expressions: "You haven't forgotten my ability, have you? There was no forest here before."

Pushing objects into the past or future is merely a basic operation of the Arc of Time.

"Damn it!"

Azuma was unwilling to give up. He activated Great Tree Arc again, and dozens of large trees rose from the ground, only to vanish instantly in the next moment.

Richard activated his magic, and the earth rolled like waves, directly wrapping the two of them up and making it difficult for them to move.

"You win!"

Azuma was somewhat resentful. If Ultear didn't counter him so perfectly, he would have definitely been able to beat this former member of the Oración Seis.

"We surrender."

The plump Kain Hikaru agreed wholeheartedly. He didn't have the courage to fight at all; this woman, Ultear, was too terrifying.

The two of them dropped their flags and then surrendered, leaving the illusory magic space.

Ultear held the flags and said with a smile: "At least you're sensible."

Richard looked at her: "The next target is a member of the Fairy Tail First Team. Let's go."

Suddenly, the two of them noticed someone spying. Turning their heads, they saw it was Elfman from the Fairy Tail Second Team.

Ultear smiled: "It seems your luck isn't very good."

Elfman knew both of them were contestants at the level of the Ten Wizard Saints and that he was no match for them, so he turned and ran.

In the next moment, a large tree rose from the ground, sending him flying straight into the sky.

"Beast Soul!"

Elfman let out a roar and activated his Take Over Magic, transforming into a giant beast. He slammed onto the ground, then violently uprooted the large tree and hurled it at the two of them.

Since he couldn't escape, he would fight them head-on!

Ultear smiled: "But that's a tree I manifested!"

As soon as she spoke, the large tree Elfman was holding vanished. He stumbled and flew forward, rolling several times on the ground.

"What kind of magic is this?"

Elfman was utterly bewildered.

The battle had to continue; he launched a headlong charge.

Richard said calmly: "Although I don't particularly enjoy fighting, I'm sorry, I promised Jura I would give it my all."

He activated his magic, and the earth turned into quicksand, directly flipping Elfman over. A fist made of sand and stone condensed and sent Elfman flying with a heavy punch.

"Freeze!"

Ultear activated her Ice-Make Magic, and a sheet of cold ice swept over, instantly turning the panicked Elfman into an ice sculpture.

Richard's Sand Fist Magic followed closely, striking dozens of times in succession, shattering the ice and leaving Elfman injured and unconscious.

A golden light covered the illusory magic space, and an announcement declared that Elfman had lost his ability to fight and was eliminated.

Ultear gave a light laugh: "I didn't expect you to be so soft-hearted. Wasn't it Fairy Tail that defeated your Oración Seis back then?"

Richard's attacks looked fierce, but in reality, he was aiming to knock Elfman unconscious and hadn't used much of his strength.

She hadn't expected someone from the Oración Seis to become a good person.

Richard shook his head: "That's in the past. I am now a Mage of Lamia Scale."

"Tch, whatever."

...Gajeel originally wanted to clash with the two Dragon Slayer Mages from Sabertooth, but he ended up meeting Laxus at the tower. Both were stunned for a moment when they saw each other, having not expected it at all.

However, the Fairy Tail style was to be serious; they would never show mercy to their own during a competition.

Laxus tossed aside his coat, revealing his firm muscles, and smiled: "It can't be helped, Gajeel. The eliminations start with you."

Gaji crossed his arms and tilted his chin up, saying confidently: "I've undergone long periods of lightning training. My resistance to lightning is now terrifyingly strong. I definitely won't lose to you."

"Come!"

The two looked at each other and charged at the same time. A black and a golden light collided instantly, erupting in terrifying electric sparks. The surrounding buildings were instantly torn apart and burst into raging flames.

As the battle progressed, Gajeel's confident smile gradually froze, and he entered a state of being passively beaten.

This was completely different from what he had imagined. He was like a punching bag, being pummeled from the East Street all the way to the West Street.

Laxus moved swiftly, every punch and kick carrying the might of thunder. He grabbed Gajeel by the hair, slammed him into a wall, and then followed up with a kick, knocking him out cold.

"Gajeel..."

Outside, Lilly was dazed. Was it really this violent? Even his confidence as a spectator was being crushed.

"Hahaha, as expected of Laxus. Gajeel still isn't quite there yet."

"I heard Gajeel gets struck by lightning all day to train his lightning resistance, but in the end, he couldn't even withstand the damage from Laxus's fists and feet."

The people from Fairy Tail laughed out loud. They were already used to it. Gajeel not being instantly defeated was already much better than Natsu; that guy has never lasted past the second move.

Erza discovered the battle here and walked over to investigate, only to see the scene of Gajeel being sent away by the light. She couldn't help but smile: "Sending Gajeel off so quickly."

Poor Gajeel had watched for so long, yet he was out within twenty minutes of appearing. It was truly embarrassing.

"It didn't end in one move; at least I let him move around a bit."

Laxus picked up his coat with a relaxed expression, as if he had just been warming up.

"Now I'm going to find that shirtless man from Sabertooth. That person has lightning-attribute power."

Erza smiled and nodded: "Go ahead!"

Just then, the sound of high-heeled footsteps approached. Both of them stopped and suddenly turned their heads to look.

Upon seeing that familiar wide-brimmed hat, magic staff, and scarlet hair, their hearts instantly sank to the bottom.
