Everyone instinctively backed away. This momentum was so vast that Natsu's flames couldn't even compare.
Laxus turned into a bolt of golden lightning and charged out instantly, his fist clenched as lightning swirled around it: "Lightning Dragon's Breakdown Fist!"
The terrifying lightning fist struck out, combining speed and power, domineering and violent.
"The power of lightning is indeed much stronger than fire."
Acnologia praised him, lowering his body slightly to easily dodge the punch. He then extended his palm and pressed it against Laxus's abdomen.
"Magic Shockwave!"
A burst of pure magic condensed and erupted from his palm, exploding instantly and sending Laxus flying over a hundred meters away.
Fried was shocked: "Laxus!"
"It's not over yet!"
Laxus returned through the air like a bolt of lightning, golden electricity erupting from his body as he threw punches at Acnologia frantically. However, no matter how he attacked, he couldn't budge him even slightly.
It felt like an ant trying to shake a mountain; even risking his life was futile.
Still, he wouldn't give up easily; at the very least, he had to test Acnologia's limits.
"Lightning Dragon's Roar!"
After being sent flying by a punch, Laxus opened his mouth and unleashed a lightning Roar, pulverizing the ground along its path and turning the surrounding trees to ash.
Acnologia laughed and said, "You still don't know my magic."
"I am the Black Dragon Slayer Mage, and I wield Devouring Magic. I can devour all magic, and lightning is no exception!"
Before everyone's shocked eyes, he opened his mouth, and a terrifying devouring force erupted. All the lightning was swallowed up like flowing water.
"Damn it, he actually has a trick like that?"
"Doesn't that mean magic is useless? How is Laxus supposed to fight? What about my money?!"
"In a physical brawl, Laxus probably isn't his match either, is he?"

Acnologia felt the power of the lightning, filled with masculinity and destructive force, and laughed, "Now it's a duel between two Thunder Dragon Slayer Mages."
"Of course, don't let your guard down. I just wanted to test out the Lightning Dragon's power. This form doesn't mean I can't use my original Dragon Slaying Magic."
