Chapter 112 - Chapter 109 : You'er so evil

Ok guys done with traumas, crying n bla bla! Let's imagine something normal and better.

Also one thing more, I've a question n something to tell u:

As you all know, this book is a mess, a literal mess.

And your author is even bigger mess.

I'd thought of including yuri at jaydee wedding, but all thanks to my memory, I forgot.

So I wanna ask if u guys want me to include him, if yes then I can include him a bit later.

If not then we can just carry on.

Six months later.

The evening sun was casting long, amber shadows across the Watson estate.

The house was lively and buzzing with energy as everyone returned from their respective offices and daily routines.

Downstairs in the main living area, Percy and Aries were already unwinding, chatting casually alongside Cheska and the rest of the Watsons.

Upstairs, Jay had just finished transitioning out of her strict workday routine.

She shed her sharp office formals, trading them for a beautiful, flowing floral dress that felt incredibly comfortable against her skin,

and pulled the pins from her hair, letting the long locks fall completely free from their tight, professional bun.

Stepping toward the bedroom door, she turned the knob and opened it, ready to head downstairs and join the family.

But the very second she crossed the threshold, a large, warm hand shot out from the shadows, wrapping securely around her waist.

Before she could even process what was happening, she was gently but firmly pulled back, her back pressing flat against the smooth wall.

She let out a sharp gasp, her eyes widening in surprise.

"Keifer...?"

There he was, standing right in front of her, completely trapping her between the wall and his broad frame.

Dressed in a loose, casual T-shirt with his dark hair delightfully messy,

he was looking down at her with a thoroughly amused, irresistible smirk playing on his lips.

"What?

You forgot something,"

he murmured, his deep voice carrying a playful, lazy cadence.

Jay blinked, trying to regain her composure.

"Me?

What did I forget?"

Keifer raised his free hand, slowly tapping a single finger directly against his own lips.

"My evening kiss."

Amused by his sheer audacity, Jay immediately crossed her arms over her chest, leaning back against the wall as she looked up at him.

"Oh, really?

Then what's with the one you got just fifteen minutes ago?"

"It was seventeen minutes ago,"

Keifer corrected instantly, his tone completely deadpan as he defended his honor.

"That's a two-minute deficit, sunshine."

Jay's jaw literally dropped at his ridiculous logic.

A highly amused smile threatened to break through, but she quickly suppressed it, turning her face away from him with a look of stubborn, fake anger.

"No! You aren't getting any."

Keifer tilted his head, his smirk widening.

"Why?"

"Because....because I just don't want to,"

she huffed playfully, keeping her eyes fixed on the hallway.

To her absolute, utter surprise, Keifer actually took a step back.

His hands dropped from her waist, and he completely cleared her path, gesturing toward the stairs.

"Okay.

Go."

Jay raised a brow in complete, utter confusion.

She turned her head back to look at him, her eyes scanning his face.

"What?"

he asked, his expression turning entirely calm and unbothered, though a subtle glint remained in his eyes.

"Should I... should I really just go?"

she asked hesitantly, thrown off by how easily he had given up.

"Yes, go. Why be late?

Just go down,"

he said smoothly, shrugging his broad shoulders with a perfectly innocent, relaxed expression.

Jay blinked, suspicious but completely out of arguments.

Shaking her head slightly, she slowly stepped out of the room and began walking down the hallway toward the stairs.

But she couldn't shake the feeling that he was up to something.

Before she even reached the top of the staircase, she stopped and glanced back at him-not just once,

but six separate times in absolute, comical confusion, only to find him standing by the door,

watching her step away with a perfectly serene, mysterious smile.

Jay walked down the grand staircase, the hem of her floral dress swaying gently with each step.

The lively chatter in the living room softened as she approached, replaced by warm, welcoming smiles from the family.

"Good evening, Mom.

Good evening, Dad,"

Jay greeted sweetly, walking over to the lounge area.

"Good evening, guys."

"Good evening, sweetie!"

Mrs. Watson beamed, looking up from her tablet, while Mr. Watson gave her a fond, fatherly nod over his evening newspaper.

"Good evening sistah!", percy chirm making her smile.

Aries smiled at her.

While sophia and chesaka gesture her to come towards them.

Jay bypassed the larger couches and comfortably settled into a plush single sofa, right next to the double sofa where Cheska and Sophia were currently sharing a bowl of snacks.

Mrs. Watson looked past Jay's shoulder toward the stairs.

"Anak! Where is Keifer?"

"Mom, he's just coming down,"

Jay replied, smoothing out her dress, though her mind was still swirling with confusion over his bizarrely calm behavior upstairs.

"Probably untangling his hair,"

Percy chimed in from the opposite couch, throwing his head back with a loud yawn.

"I swear, the guy spends more time looking like a brooding runway model after work than actually relaxing."

Aries scoffed, nudging Percy with his elbow.

"Please, if I had hair like that, I'd ensure it looked flawlessly messy too.

You're just jealous your styling gel expires before you can even use it."

"Excuse me? My hair is a national treasure,"

Percy defended, flipping an imaginary lock out of his eyes, making others burst into giggles.

"A treasure that should remain buried,"

Cheska muttered under her breath, not even looking up as she tossed a popcorn kernel directly at Percy's forehead, hitting it with perfect accuracy.

"Hey!

Assault!

Did everyone see that?

Mom, Cheska is bullying me again!"

Percy whined, dramatically clutching his chest.

"Oh, hush, Percy. You're twenty-three, not three,"

Mrs. Watson chuckled, effortlessly scrolling through her phone.

While Jay was laughing along with the banter, a deep, smooth voice echoed from the base of the stairs, instantly cutting through the noise.

"Good evening, everyone."

Jay's gaze snapped upward.

Keifer was walking into the living area, his posture relaxed, hands casually tucked into his pockets.

But it was the unmistakable, victorious smirk playing on his lips that made Jay's heart skip a sudden, violent beat.

She raised an eyebrow at him, her suspicion reaching an all-time high.

"Good evening," the room chorused back.

As Keifer approached the seating arrangement,

everyone naturally expected him to head over to the main sofa to squeeze in beside Percy and Aries.

But Keifer completely ignored the empty space.

Instead, he walked with absolute, unhurried purpose straight toward Jay's single sofa.

Before Jay could even process his movement, Keifer leaned down.

He placed his large palms firmly on both sides of her sofa's armrests, effectively trapping her, caging her entirely within his broad frame.

Jay's breath hitched instantly, her back pressing hard against the cushions.

But before her brain could even register a warning, Keifer effortlessly crossed the remaining distance.

Bending lower, he captured her parted lips, stealing a deep, firm, and undeniably sweet kiss directly from her mouth in front of the entire room, making everyone jaw's drop.

Click!

A sharp camera shutter sound echoed instantly.

Cheska and Sophia were already wearing matching, wicked smirks, their phones raised high as they captured the evidence with lightning-fast reflexes.

Opposite them, Aries and Percy simultaneously looked up at the ceiling, blinking rapidly.

"Wow, the architectural molding on these light fixtures is truly fascinating today,"

Percy muttered to the empty air.

"Astounding craftsmanship. We don't exist, Percy.

We are ghosts,"

Aries agreed solemnly, staring intensely at a blank wall.

Mrs. Watson didn't even lift her gaze from her screen, a thoroughly amused, naughty smile playing on her lips.

"I didn't see anything,"

she muttered smoothly, her thumb scrolling with exaggerated innocence.

Mr. Watson casually flipped the page of his newspaper, completely hiding his face.

"If Mrs. Watson didn't see anything, Mr. Watson didn't see a single thing either."

Keifer slowly pulled away from the kiss, lingering just inches from her face.

His dark eyes danced with pure, unadulterated triumph as he looked at her utterly stunned expression.

"Told you,"

Keifer whispered, his low voice for her ears only, vibrating with deep satisfaction.

"My evening kiss."

Giving her one final, devastating smirk, he stood up straight and casually sauntered over to the opposite couch, easily taking his seat next to Aries and Percy as if nothing out of the ordinary had just occurred.

He left Jay sitting frozen in the single sofa, her eyes wide,

her face burning a brilliant, furious shade of crimson as she stared at her shameless husband.

She finally came to her senses, the room spinning around her flushed face as the reality of what just happened set in.

"I... I... I will be back!"

she stammered out, her voice pitching high.

Without waiting for a response, she bolted from the sofa and sprinted up the stairs, her floral dress fluttering behind her.

The entire living room erupted into a chorus of delighted laughter.

"It's okay, Jay! Don't be so flustered!"

Sophia shouted up the stairwell, her voice shaking with laughter.

"We already told you, we didn't see a single thing!"

Jay practically threw herself into their bedroom, slamming the door shut and cutting off the echoing giggles from downstairs.

Breathing heavily, she leaned her back flat against the solid wood of the door, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.

"Keifer..." she whispered in pure embarrassment, burying her face in her hands.

But despite the burning heat on her cheeks, she couldn't stop the massive, helpless smile from breaking across her lips.

**

By the time night fell, the playful tension in the Watson house had settled into a quiet calm.

In their bedroom, Keifer was already lying on the mattress, propping his head up with one hand, his elbow dug into the pillow.

A thoroughly amused, patient smirk played on his face as he stared at the bathroom door.

Jay had been hiding in there for a while, having completely given him the silent treatment ever since the infamous evening kiss.

Finally, the bathroom door clicked open, and Jay stepped out.

The moment Keifer's eyes landed on her, the triumphant smirk vanished,

replaced by a sudden warmth that made the tips of his ears turn a sharp, sudden red.

She had changed into a long, oversized, incredibly comfortable t-shirt that hung loosely over her frame,

paired with tiny shorts that were barely visible beneath the hem of the shirt.

Her long, bare legs looked impossibly delicate, and her hair brushed softly against her shoulders.

Deliberately ignoring his intense gaze,

Jay walked right past his side of the bed with her chin held high and climbed onto the mattress on the opposite side.

Amused by her cold shoulder, Keifer immediately began to slide across the sheets, closing the distance between them.

But the absolute second he got close,

Jay snapped her head around.

She narrowed her eyes at him and instantly pointed a sharp warning finger directly at his chest.

"Don't touch me."

Keifer paused, looking at her in utter disbelief.

"Why?"

"Because you embarrassed me earlier downstairs!"

she huffed, her eyes blazing with adorable indignation.

"But Jay-"

"No 'but', Keifer,"

she cut him off flatly.

Turning away from him,

she pulled the thick blanket all the way up to her shoulders and lay down, turning her back to him completely.

Keifer let out a defeated sigh, but the fond smile never left his face.

He flopped onto his side, resting his head back on his hand as he stared intently at the curve of her back.

"Jay..." he called out softly.

No response.

"You know, it's incredibly rude to show your back to the person who always wants to see you,"

he murmured, his deep voice carrying a quiet, irresistible charm in the room.

Jay bit her lip.

Even she didn't know why, but his words pulled at something inside her, melting her resolve instantly.

Trying her absolute best to keep her angry, stubborn expression perfectly intact, she slowly rolled over onto her other side to face him.

Keifer's smirk returned instantly, his dark eyes softening as he looked at her beautiful, fiercely pouting face.

He tried to slide a bit closer to her, testing his luck.

"Don't even try,"

Jay muttered defensively, keeping her eyes snapped tightly shut so she wouldn't give in to his charm.

"Ugh!"

Keifer groaned out loud, defeated for the moment as he slid back to his side of the bed, closing his eyes with a dramatic sigh.

But a few seconds later, his eyes snapped wide open in the quiet room.

A slow, wicked smirk grew across his face as a brilliant idea popped into his mind.

Moving with absolute stealth, he slowly slid his hand toward the nightstand, his fingers wrapping around the AC remote.

Hiding the remote on the opposite side of his body away from her view,

he pointed it toward the unit and began repeatedly pressing the button, drastically decreasing the room's temperature.

It didn't take long for the trap to work.

Slowly, Jay started to shift uncomfortably under the sheets.

She shivered slightly, pulling the thick blanket all the way up to her neck, burying herself in the fabric.

But it still didn't work.

The room was turning into an icebox.

Frustrated, she abruptly sat up on the bed, her eyes scanning the dark room as she began searching the mattress.

"Keifer... did you do this?"

"What?"

he asked, his voice dripping with perfectly played innocence.

"Where is the AC remote?"

she demanded, narrowing her eyes.

"I don't know, even I'm looking for it,"

he lied smoothly, a completely shameless smirk playing on his lips in the dim light.

"But... if you are feeling cold, we can always cuddle."

Jay glared at him.

"No, thanks,"

she huffed, flopping herself back down onto the mattress and pulling the blanket back over her head.

But the biting chill was relentless.

Slowly, bit by bit, she began sliding across the sheets toward the only source of heat in the room.

Keifer watched in absolute triumph as she moved closer and closer, until finally, her shoulder was pressed firmly against his broad chest.

Keifer smiled warmly.

He began to turn his face toward her, his arms ready to pull her in-

"You still can't touch me,"

she reminded him sharply, her voice muffled by the blanket.

Keifer raised a brow.

Is that so?

he thought to himself, his smirk widening.

It was time to pull his final card.

Reaching near his head, he grabbed his phone off the nightstand and tapped the screen, instantly turning off the smart lights in the bedroom.

Over the last six months,

Jay had completely overcome her severe trauma related to the dark,

but a tiny, lingering trace of childhood fear still made her uneasy in pitch-black spaces.

The moment the room plunged into absolute darkness, she closed her eyes tightly, trying her absolute best to stay perfectly still and brave it out.

But her curious, anxious mind betrayed her.

She opened her eyes, and seeing nothing but the heavy shadows of the room,

her protective instincts overrode her stubborn pride.

Instantly, she whirled around.

She threw herself onto his chest,

wrapping her arms tightly around him and burying her face deep into the warm curve of his neck.

"Keifer... you are so evil,"

she sulked against his skin, her voice muffled and defeated.

Keifer let out a deep, rumbling chuckle that vibrated right against her cheek, his heart swelling with affection.

"Can I hug you back now?"

he asked, trying his absolute best to control the massive smile breaking across his face.

"Is there even a choice left?"

she grumbled playfully.

"Of course not," he answered smoothly.

Without wasting another second, he wrapped one powerful arm securely around her waist, sliding his other arm smoothly under her head to cushion her.

He shifted his weight, tangling one of his long legs over hers, effectively caging her against his side and trapping all her warmth against him.

They finally relaxed, the rhythm of their breathing slowing down as they prepared to drift off to sleep, wrapped in the perfect, quiet safety of each other's arms.

When suddenly-

"Aachoo!"

Jay sneezed loudly against his neck.

Keifer blinked in the dark, looking down at the top of her head.

"Aachoo!"

She sneezed a second time, immediately pulling back just enough to narrow her eyes at him through the shadows.

It was then that the realization hit him.

"Oh... the AC," he muttered, a thoroughly guilty smile breaking across his handsome face.

He immediately started to untangle himself, reaching out his arm toward the nightstand to finally grab the remote and fix the temperature.

But before he could slide away, Jay's hand shot out.

She caught his broad shoulder, firmly pulling his arm back down and directing it right back around her waist.

Keifer paused, looking down at her in complete confusion in the dim light.

Instead of letting him move, Jay reached down, grabbed the heavy comforter, and pulled it all the way up, completely covering both of their heads beneath the blanket in a warm, dark tent.

She pressed her face right back into the crook of his neck, completely content.

Reaching up, she gently patted the back of his head with her small hand.

"Sleep!" she ordered softly.

Keifer let out a low, breathless chuckle, his heart melting completely.

He tightened his grip around her waist, hugging her impossibly close under the blanket as they drifted off together.
