Chapter 54 - { CHAPTER 52: VISITING THYN HEADQUARTERS }

Only after a long while, seeing that nothing terrible happened, did I give Yashu a speechless glance before lifting my peach tea for a sip. The refreshing, sweet flavor of peach tea spread across my throat, bringing a wave of invigoration that instantly relaxed all of my tense nerves.

Before I could even finish enjoying my drink, Yashu proceeded to pull out a whole bunch of snacks that she had just raided earlier from her bag. She carefully set aside a small portion for later, then ruthlessly opened every single bit of the remaining stash onto the table, not forgetting to shoot me a "threatening" glare:

-"If you don't finish all of this, I'm never treating you again next time!"

Looking at the huge sponge cakes layered and packed all over the tabletop, I quietly swallowed a breath of cold air. This was truly too much...

But in the end, after a fiercely intense "battle" with the pile of food, the two of us managed to clean it all up without leaving a single crumb. I leaned back against my chair, gently rubbing my full, round stomach. Perhaps, this was the most satisfying and comfortable meal I'd had since the unlucky day I stepped foot into this deadly Mysterious World.

Once our bellies were completely stuffed, the two of us stood up and decided to start making our way to Xi Yong'an's place.

However, since we were completely unfamiliar with the terrain here, Yashu and I could only move rather slowly. Both of us walked while intently and carefully observing the traffic signs and street numbers. Occasionally, when catching sight of some ghost residents who looked mild and friendly, we would take a gamble and approach them to ask for directions. It seemed that after so many incidents, we were gradually learning how to adapt to life in this strange world.

I kept scanning our surroundings, searching for familiar signs until I spotted a fairly large Swan Lake in the distance. Recalling Yong'an's instructions, the two of us hurriedly quickened our pace toward that location. Just as expected, we finally found the boundary marker of the area named "Sunshine District."

Advancing deeper into the district, we came across a guide sign that read "Street No. 56." I slightly tilted my head up to look. Standing right before our eyes at this moment was a skyscraper, towering so high that it seemed to pierce straight through the clouds. At the very top of the building hung a giant LED billboard, glowing brightly with the words: "THYN Company."

Standing before the large glass doors of the building, we suddenly froze when we saw two security guards who looked completely normal. Looking closely at their nametags and demeanor, I realized that both of them were players just like us, working here for a living. Blocked right at the entrance by the two of them, Yashu and I were momentarily flustered, looking at each other, not knowing how to explain ourselves.

While the two of us were still scrambling, a small black object from a high floor suddenly fell straight down, landing with a "thud" right at our feet. It was a pair of luxury brand black sunglasses.

At the exact same time, a familiar voice rang out, accompanied by a majestic torrent of scolding drifting down from Xi Yong'an up above: -"Damn it, dropped my glasses again!"

From a window on a high floor, Xi Yong'an was poking his head out to complain. Just then, he accidentally looked down and discovered the two of us standing there dazed in front of the door. His face instantly loosened up, and he happily waved his hand in welcome before quickly pulling his head back inside.

It seemed he had just called down to the security department, because immediately after, the two guards in the lobby received a message and instantly changed their attitude, politely bowing to invite us in. In the meantime, I also bent down to pick up the sunglasses for him. Holding the item in my hand, I couldn't help but be astonished. These sunglasses had fallen from such a dizzying height onto the concrete floor without breaking or chipping even a single millimeter. As expected of a young master's belongings.

Just as we stepped through the revolving doors into the grand lobby, both Yashu and I were a bit stunned by the scene unfolding before our eyes. This place was extremely crowded, and strangely enough, most of them were players just like us. Every single one of them was bustling with business - some were transporting large shipments of goods, while others were clutching documents and running around frantically, creating an incredibly urgent atmosphere.

Seeing this, Yashu lightly nudged my shoulder, whispering in an admiring tone:

-"How formidable... To think that in this deadly Mysterious World, he could actually build and operate a company of such a magnificent scale."

Afterward, we were politely guided into the elevator by two female servers, who were also players. They pressed the button straight to the 29th floor, leaving only two floor left before reaching the building's rooftop.

Ding!

The moment the elevator doors slid open, we were brought straight to Xi Yong'an's private office area. Right in front of the office door, four tall guards were standing on standby, each holding weapons that looked extremely dangerous in their hands.

Just at that moment, the office door swung open. Xi Yong'an walked out, looking incredibly arrogant and imposing in a stylish, thick black coat. At his gesture, the four bodyguards in front of the door immediately parted to both sides, making way for the two of us to enter. Xi Yong'an let out a soft smile, his tone teasing:

-"You arrived earlier than I expected~"

The moment the office door closed, completely isolating us from the busy world outside, Yashu could no longer hold back her amazement and spoke up:

-"Hey, what on earth do you do here to be so obscenely rich?"

-"Oh, it's nothing much. I just made use of some memories from the previous world before transmigrating here. Right now, I'm doing real estate business, and dabbling in the stock market on the side." - Xi Yong'an relaxed his body and stretched out on the luxurious leather sofa, looking utterly carefree and at ease.
