Good news, bad news time. The good news is that I am alive and my house is MOSTLY intact. Had trees fall all around the house but only one hit it and didn't damage. Slight leak, nothing serious.
Now for the bad news. Got no power, no Internet. I'm typing this on my phone and that's got a limited battery life. I've been told it'll be a week till powers back. Don't know if the reality will be faster or slower but it means for at least that amount of time roughly I'll be not writing or posting.
It sucks I know but blame the weather.
