Cherreads

Chapter 88 - A mad party

I focused on that feeling and practiced to capitalize on it. The effort paid off as my skill rose to sixty five. Some of the theory I had from my rampant cramming in the college was now solidified into actionable skill. Next came dinner. I rolled out some premade dough before holding it flat above the fire with [telekinesis] and waited for it to firm up before adding a tomato sauce blend and cheese before topping the now obvious pizza with diced Horker, bell pepper and onion before using [shape stone] to create a pizza oven around the fire that I stuffed the pizza in.-

"By my little toes! I've never seen someone do THAT with cheese before! And I have seen people do a LOT with cheese. Haha!" A familiar voice spoke up cheerfully as a swarm of multicolored butterflies fluttered in and turned into what at first appeared to be a man in a two colored regalia with grey wild long hair and a goatee. If I didn't recognize the voice the yellow slitted eyes would have given away who this was.-

"Uncle Sheo. What an unexpected visit." I said a little nervously.

"Uncle! Ha! Uncle the little mortal says! A mortal actually dares to claim relation to me! HAHAHAHA! I haven't been this entertained since that Martin fellow turned into a dragon god! All's forgiven, so tell me dearest new nephew mine, what's this lovely little thing you've so gratefully offered up to me?" the Madgod said with a grin literally splitting his face.

"Pizza. Wonderful little dish with nearly endless possibilities." I said not relaxing at all even if he seemed in a good mood.

"Pizza! What a fun word!" he said while taking a seat on an intricate cushioned throne I didn't even notice had appeared until now.

I remained quiet and watched the pizza oven like it was life or death, probably because it might be. The moment the pizza was done I dispelled the oven and set the pizza out to cool. The impatient god tapped his foot as his expression shifted into different emotions in rapid motion. Anger, sadness, joy, melancholy, arousal, confusion, the changes were without reason or rhyme. Finally I used [telekinesis] to split the pizza into slices that I plated up on a platter before motion to him.

"Please, have the first slice." I said seriously.

His expression froze on interest as his hand shot forward in a blur of motion and plucked a slice off the platter without a sound. He immediately took a massive bit out of the slice crust first. He chewed it slowly and thoughtfully before his eye literally lit up and a massive cheshire grin covered his face.

"Ho ho hee hee haha!" he laughed in three separate but conjoined ways as he quickly ate the rest of the slice.

"You like it I take it?" I said hopefully.

"Ah nephew, do you even have to ask?" he said with a dense murderous aura pouring from him "I love it." he said with a cackle.

I just nodded with sweat dripping down my back. I had long since told Lokjun not to come through our bond so I could only just deal with this insane god as best as I could and hope he didn't kill me or worse.

"Ah, fear. A fan favorite, second only to futile resistance. Don't you bother that lovely little head of yours, I'd never hurt you. Others sure, but not you. Why you are my darling nephew and created this positively splendiferous morsel! Besides that would ruin the party!" he said with rolling his head all the way around like an owl.

"Party?" I questioned confused.

"Of course! What else would you use an invitation for? Why it'll have all your favorite aunties and uncles too! Except Malacath! He's no fun at parties! Ever seen a realm where the backbone of it is a literal backbone? Nasty stuff. I blame Boethiah really, must have had indigestion or something when she shat him out." he said shaking his head even as the grin never left his face.

I must have paled to ghostly levels of bloodlessness hearing this.

"Please tell me you didn't." I practically begged but his grin just grew even wider.

"No, of fucking course you did!" I said resigned to have to mingle with so many daedric princes all at once.

"Ah, cheer up nephew! Birthday parties mean gifts! And your aunties and uncles give the best gifts." he said laughing gleefully.

"Wait! What do you mean "birthday", my birthday isn't for another month?" I asked confused.

"Silly little tart! Scheduling conflicts of course. Really we are all so very busy with our own stuff and can't always find time to attend a social event like this! Why the family is just chopping at the bit to meet you and I was all like "I should TOTALLY throw a party"! Everyone loves my parties, except when they don't but those people weren't invited so neh!" he said magicking another slice of pizza into his mouth.

"So the other daedric princes have just been waiting in your realm for me this whole time?" I asked horrified.

"Of course! NOT! You're the STAR! Naturally they'll only get their own invitation when you show up." he said with a chuckle.

Then as if he was never there he and the pizza both vanished without a sound. I just stared at the absence speechlessly before sighing and taking out some jerky to eat for diner since I didn't dare make another pizza. It also didn't help that my appetite was ruined after that whole event. I knew I had to eat something of course but really I was just going through the motions. I had been given a lot of information that was not good for me at all. The most important of course being that almost all of the other daedric princes were going be invited to a birthday party Sheogorath took upon himself to host without asking me first.-

I was so royally fucked.

A few of them I could probably be fine around. You know Azura, Mephala, Meridia, Nocturnal, Hircine and Sanguine. A little iffy on some of those but there was a solid chance at least. The others were less certain and if I wasn't kidding myself likely to turn pretty hostile eventually. ESPECIALLY Molag Bal. I'm sorry but there was not a chance in hell I was going to be cool around a demonic god whose aspects included rape, brutality and slavery.
