"Phew. Thank the lord I packed my umbrella." A woman murmured as she stepped out of a taxi, opening up her umbrella.
She paid the driver, who flashed her a polite smile.
"Enjoy the rest of your morning."
"You too!"
They'd ended up talking about their shared love for cats on her way to work.
Just when she turned to rush into the cafe she worked in—she noticed something that made her come to an abrupt halt.
The downpour wasn't exactly heavy. It trickled onto the streets of New York, barely a distraction to people in the middle of starting their day.
But all of a sudden… the falling raindrops reversed.
"What the…" The woman slowly lowered her umbrella, gaze rising to the sky.
She wasn't imagining it.
All around the busy city, people stopped as well, watching as the raindrops rose back into the dark clouds.
"Ugh." Someone groaned, adjusting his trench coat. "Probably one of them Espers again."
