Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 — Bullying Su Meier.

Chaotic Star Region, Star City.

Mo Yu stepped out of the teleportation array, carrying the six-tailed white fox in his arms.

After settling Chu Yuli into the sect, he had come here without delay.

Before leaving, he handed all the Spiritual Treasures the Elders had gifted him to Chu Yuli and entrusted her to Ling Wanqing's care.

The two of them should get along quite well.

One followed—the path of cautious survival—while the other preferred living the quiet life of a mortal.

Their temperaments were surprisingly compatible.

As for Su Meier, she never brought up what had happened the previous day.

It was as though the incident had never occurred.

The two of them continued to get along as naturally as ever, without the slightest trace of awkwardness.

Even so, Mo Yu still couldn't help feeling a little guilty.

After all...

He had stolen her first kiss.

"Brother Mo, what a coincidence!"

A clear, pleasant voice suddenly rang out, interrupting Mo Yu's thoughts.

He looked up.

The newcomer was handsome and refined, with an extraordinary temperament.

Mo Yu recognized him instantly.

It was Feng Yinxiao of the Starry Sky Holy Land.

One of the Seven Stars and a candidate for the position of Sect Master.

He was also the unfortunate man Mo Yu had once used as a scapegoat.

Like Mo Yu, he was currently at the Nascent Soul Stage.

"It is indeed a coincidence," Mo Yu replied calmly.

A trace of surprise flashed across Feng Yinxiao's eyes.

"I never expected that after only a few years, not only would Brother Mo resolve the issue of your declining cultivation, but you would also break through to the Nascent Soul Stage. Congratulations."

Mo Yu nodded faintly.

"I was simply fortunate."

Feng Yinxiao smiled warmly.

"May I ask what brings Brother Mo to our Chaotic Star Region?"

"I'm here to kill someone who offended me."

Mo Yu's tone was calm, as though he were discussing something as ordinary as the weather.

Feng Yinxiao raised an eyebrow slightly.

"I see. Brother Mo is a man who settles his grudges personally. Truly admirable."

Mo Yu gave a small nod.

This fellow really can lie with a straight face, he thought.

He actually managed to describe seeking revenge as something admirable.

Feng Yinxiao's gaze shifted to the six-tailed white fox resting peacefully in Mo Yu's arms.

"This must be Senior Su, I presume?"

Su Meier didn't even bother opening her eyes.

She was clearly too lazy to acknowledge him.

Seeing this, Mo Yu spoke calmly.

"I still have important matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave."

Without waiting for a reply, he turned and walked away.

Feng Yinxiao watched his departing figure, a sharp glint flashing through his eyes.

"Why would two of the Heavenly Profound Holy Land's five prodigies come to the Chaotic Star Region? Have they discovered something?"

Just then, a shadow silently emerged beside him like a ghost.

"Young Master, should we keep them under surveillance?"

Feng Yinxiao shook his head.

"No need."

"The Heavenly Profound Holy Land belongs to the righteous path. They won't act recklessly."

"Let someone else concern themselves with it."

...Mo Yu walked straight toward the city center.

Shops lined both sides of the street, while pedestrians filled the roads in a lively, bustling scene.

Countless signboards gleamed beneath the sunlight, and the air was filled with the vibrant atmosphere of everyday life.

Su Meier, nestled comfortably in Mo Yu's arms, suddenly spoke.

"What do you think of that person?"

"What do I think? He's a hypocrite."

"Why do you say that?" Su Meier asked curiously.

"I dislike those who always wear such a gentle expression. Either they're extremely cunning, or they're a cuckold."

Mo Yu evaluated him without the slightest restraint.

"A cuckold?"

Su Meier looked puzzled.

She could understand "extremely cunning," but what did a cuckold have to do with anything?

"It's the kind of idiot who likes making people regret their actions, forgives betrayal, and says things like, 'If you love her, you must forgive her.'"

Upon hearing this, Su Meier couldn't help but laugh, her laughter as melodious as the tinkling of silver bells.

"If everything can be forgiven, then everything he experiences is well deserved."

Mo Yu nodded repeatedly.

Su Meier's tone then turned serious.

"But I think he is the former, deeply cunning."

"I'm very good at distinguishing good from evil, you know."

"That person, though not evil, is not as good as he appears."

Mo Yu nodded.

He thought so too.

After purchasing a map of the Chaotic Star Region, the two of them immediately set off toward their destination.

Fragmented Star Province...

Deep within the Qin Family estate, inside a hidden Immortal Cave...

A nauseating stench of blood permeated the air.

At the center of the cave lay a churning blood pool, where countless vengeful spirits struggled and howled, their mournful cries echoing without end.

Beside the blood pool, Qin Jun sat cross-legged, black qi swirling around his body as a sinister expression twisted across his face.

Standing respectfully nearby was a Nascent Soul cultivator.

"Ancestor, as instructed, more than ten thousand infants have been captured."

"They were all carefully selected according to your requirements."

"Every one of them was born in a Yin year, Yin month, Yin day, and Yin hour, each naturally carrying an abundance of Yin energy and resentment."

"The moment they gained consciousness, their parents were slaughtered to further nurture the hatred within their souls."

"Very good."

Qin Jun gazed at the writhing vengeful spirits within the blood pool, a cruel smile slowly spreading across his lips.

Not far away, concealed within a hidden Formation...

Mo Yu silently observed everything, his brows tightly furrowed.

"They even have to kill the parents. By that logic, opening an evil cultivator factory with pregnant women doesn't seem feasible..."

he muttered to himself.

Su Meier gave no response.

Puzzled, Mo Yu called out softly,

"Sister Mei'er?"

Still, there was no reply.

Looking down, he found the little white fox curled into a trembling ball in his arms.

"Get... get that thing away..."

Su Meier's voice quivered, on the verge of tears.

She was clearly terrified.

Following her gaze, Mo Yu looked to his side.

A translucent ghost floated silently beside him, making no sound whatsoever.

"So it's just a ghost..."

Mo Yu thought to himself.

Then his expression changed.

"A ghost?!"

A moment later, he realized something.

Wait... I'm a cultivator. Why would I be afraid of a ghost?

Looking more carefully, he discovered it was merely a wandering vengeful spirit with no cultivation whatsoever.

It had most likely been trapped inside the Formation by accident when he set it up.

A thought suddenly crossed his mind.

So Sister Mei'er is actually afraid of ghosts...

A mischievous smile slowly spread across Mo Yu's face.

"Sister Mei'er, are you afraid of ghosts?"

Su Meier pressed herself tightly against his chest.

Her little fox head buried itself deeply in his robes, refusing to look up.

Her muffled voice drifted out from his embrace.

"Y-You... hurry and get it away."

"Hehe, Sister Mei'er, if you promise not to bully me anymore, I'll make it disappear."

"Okay... okay... I promise."

"Not very sincere, but since you said it, I'll accept."

"Alright. It's gone."

Hearing that, Su Meier cautiously lifted her little head from Mo Yu's arms.

The moment she opened her eyes...

She saw the translucent ghost floating directly in front of her, its hollow eyes staring straight at her.

"AHHHHH!!"

She let out a shrill scream.

Had the Formation not isolated all sound, the entire Qin Family estate would probably have heard it.

Su Meier instantly buried herself back in Mo Yu's embrace, trembling even more violently than before.

"Hurry... hurry and get it away!"

she pleaded tearfully, her voice filled with panic.

"I wonder... how a Heart Demon is created..."

Mo Yu murmured thoughtfully.

At that moment, the System's notification rang out.

[Villain Points +200]

Mo Yu blinked in surprise.

I even get Villain Points for this?

However, he decided not to tease Su Meier any further.

A faint pink glow had already begun emanating from her body.

An instinctive sense of danger washed over him.

If he kept this up, this entire area would likely be reduced to rubble.

He gently patted the trembling little fox.

"There, there. Don't be afraid."

Raising a hand, he condensed a wisp of ghostly flame and gently purified the innocent wandering spirit.

"Alright, it's really gone this time."

"Wuu... you bad little brother..."

Su Meier's voice was thick with tears.

"You actually bullied me..."
