Chapter 23 - Evolutions

The cave was abit small but Riley still managed to learn how to hover in place with slow flaps then he settled and tried to gain a basic understanding of his changes , abilities and improvements.

Besides his physical changed , Riley's strength had also increased by a noticeable amount. Right now Riley was already pushing closer to 150 tonnes of force with minimal exertion because he had been occasionally using Star rage to absorb Solar energy.

Though only a small portion is absorbed by his body everytime he used the ability , Riley had developed a loophole where he used his Divine Solar light energy to hold the absorbed solar energy inside of his body allowing it to be absorbed slowly and gradually.

Adding that gradual improvement with his newly gained Asura Succubus physique , Riley's base physical capabilities had reached unbelievable heights.

Besides Stat growth , the new physique affected Riley's already present abilities ontop of adding its own.

The Haki gained from the Kizaru template was quite strong as expected from a Marine admiral , but with Riley's evolutions, that Haki had already become something completely different.

After his Dragon evolution , Riley had sensed a pulse at the back of his mind which he couldn't really access or identify.

Originally , he had thought it to be some inheritance or something that he would eventually find out either way.

Now , the second evolution had finally opened that pulse and Riley understood what it was very clearly.

'Conqueror's Haki.'

The admiral template didn't come with conqueror's Haki since he didn't have it , but wether due to Riley's own race and will or the admirals hidden potential for Conqueror's Haki , Riley had awakened it.

Along with that , his Observation Haki and Armarment Haki had evolved into monstrous awareness and reinforcement.

With Riley's Omnidirectional senses , the Observation Haki's range was extended and occassional fragments of the future would appear in Riley's mind when he focused , along with the new ability to percieve energy of all sorts through the Haki.

Meanwhile his Armarment Haki had begun to exhibit some Dragonic traits by shaping itself as dark scales which were more firm and durable while still remaining flexible

The Haki evolutions made Riley satisfied and he even tested his current Haki after the physique integration , allowing him to faintly sense Van Hellsing and Carl on their horses walking with the horses about 30 kilometres away.

Riley's tests continued for a little while longer before he moved on to the Basilisk Incarnate serum.

Still in his true form , Riley popped the cork open and downed the entire test tube of serum. Since he already had the Internal reactive evolution ability to handle it , Riley didn't use an injection as required.

As expected , the reaction was immediate and the serum was absorbed into his body causing an uncomfortable heat to erupt inside him for a second only to vanish.

The serum seemed to be made with real Basilisk DNA , which Riley didn't even know how the original doctor responsible for the incarnates found given that there world didn't seem to have other supernatural creatures besides incarnates.

Under the optimisation and direction of the Internal reactive evolution , that Basilisk DNA and the other elements in the serum caused overall improvements to his physical ability then Riley felt a warm feeling settle in his stomach before the process finished.

The Basilisk serum had been used to enhance his physical abilities and give Riley the ability to take on a Hybrid Humanoid Basilisk form where his scales could blend with the environment and his physical abilities are further enhanced.

The Basilisk transformation had actually been turned into a magical ability whereby Riley's transformation was initiated and carried out by magic but it wasn't maintained by magic at all.

Glad for the automatic information provided by his Internal reactive evolution , Riley focused all his attention on his new instincts and perception.

Having very active Beastly instincts from a creature that naturally didn't have much intelligence was surprisingly more dangerous than he thought.

Initially , these instincts were supposed to slowly take over an Incarnate over time , but Riley's internal reactive evolution simply fused the Beastly instincts and mindset with his.

A normal mind would have been overwhelmed and turned entirely into a dumb dangerous wild creature , but this was Riley , a Celestial Dragon/Kryptonian among other things.

Within 2 minutes , Riley had managed to reign in his animalistic instincts and the deeply ingrained mindset of a Basilisk that had been added to his own natural Dragon instincts.

"I guess snakes really are cold and heartless huh...." muttered Riley as he stood up and walked to the cave entrance.

The Basilisk instincts had dulled his emotions to a certain extent making Riley worried he would become some cold emotionless logic based monster or something.

'Well , I can't do anything about it now. Might as well go fight some Vampires.'

Magical energy covered him before his form started shifting and Riley's now almost 5,3 body shrunk down to the normal height of a seven year old.

Riley returned to his human form and dressed up , then elementalized shooting into the sky and becoming a streak of light that left a hazy heat trail behind.

It took about 6 seconds for him to reach Carl and Van Hellsing but Riley stopped above them and switched to partial elementalisation for safety.

"Your apprentice is back MASTER VAN HELLSING!!!!!." Shouted Riley before suddenly landing infront of them with enough force to crack the frozen ground they were walking on.

Carl yelped in surprise while Van Hellsing patted the startled horses before turning to glare at Riley in frustration.

"I told you to stop calling me that , you are not my apprentice. And why can't you just walk up to us like a normal person."

Riley stuck his tongue out at him and then walked beside Carl "You are being mean , so I will walk with Carl."

Van Hellsing glared at Riley like he wanted to strangle him but ultimately just shook his head and ignored him.

'Maybe bringing him was not such a good idea. How can someone be so mature at one moment and immature the next?'

The monster hunter was finding his patience constantly tested by Riley's antics and Riley knew it , but who would pass up the chance to tease the great Van Hellsing himself.

And he did look alot like Hugh Jackman so Riley was even contemplating suggesting the idea of claws as weapon for him.

Maybe he would give Carl the idea and let him make gauntlets or arm gaurds with retractable claws in them.

The Left claw of God sounded way cooler.
