Chapter 130 - Kurana Alexanderia (3)

In the early 1900s, Kurana Alexanderia crossed paths with a young man whose eyes burned with raw, unfiltered greed. Orion Aether was in his prime strong, free-spirited, and possessing a powerful body honed by relentless ambition. He moved through the world like a predator sensing opportunity, charisma masking the hunger that never slept.

Kurana saw it immediately. That greed could destroy worlds, but beneath it lay genuine potential. Orion's raw talent and drive reminded him of his own youthful fire. After months of observation, Kurana approached him with an offer of alliance and training. Orion accepted eagerly, seeing Kurana as a stepping stone to greater power.

They worked together for years. Orion proved an exceptional student absorbing fighting styles with terrifying speed, his body adapting to divine techniques. Kurana taught him the foundations, pushing him through brutal drills that broke lesser men. Orion's greed fueled his progress, but it also twisted him. He craved godhood, whispering about ascending beyond mortal limits, beyond even the outer gods.

The betrayal came suddenly. Orion turned on Solarius Knight during a critical moment, attempting to steal forbidden knowledge and power for himself. Kurana confronted him in a clash that shook the region. Orion fought with desperate ferocity, his powerful body enhanced by stolen techniques, fists cracking the air with stolen golden energy. Kurana moved with cold precision, countering every reckless strike. "You had potential," Kurana growled between blows, "but greed blinded you."

The fight ended with Kurana overwhelming him. A devastating combination of strikes left Orion broken on the ground, coughing blood. Solarius Knight arrived, watching silently. "He does have potential," the god admitted, voice heavy with disappointment, "but he is not suitable. The Fist cannot be passed to one who seeks only to consume."

Orion was cast out, his betrayal cementing Kurana's wariness. The incident hardened Kurana further, reinforcing the sacred duty of the legacy Solarius Knight had entrusted to him.

By 2005, centuries of existence weighed on Solarius Knight. He sought out Kurana on a remote mountain peak, the air thin and biting. The god looked weary, his golden radiance dimmed by endless years. They sat together on the rocky outcrop, speaking casually like old friends who had seen too much.

"I have a daughter in the Mystic Realm," Solarius Knight revealed quietly. "I can sense her presence in this universe, struggling under her seal. But I am tired, Kurana. This long life has become a burden. I wish to end it in glory one final battle with the disciple who surpassed his master."

Kurana's chest tightened. He had known this day might come, but hearing it still hurt. "You don't have to do this."

The god smiled faintly. "I do. Fight me, old friend. Let me see how far you've come."

The battle erupted without warning. Solarius Knight moved first, a blur of golden light. His punches carried planetary force, each strike shaking the mountain. Kurana met him head-on, years of training manifesting in flawless counters. They clashed in a storm of power fists meeting fists, shockwaves ripping through the air. Solarius Knight's signature move, the Fist of the Solarius Knight, was unleashed multiple times, golden beams carving deep scars into the peak. Kurana dodged and redirected, his own version of the technique refined through centuries, striking back with controlled fury.

The god laughed through the pain, proud even as blood trickled from his lips. "Yes! This is what I wanted to see!"

Kurana pressed the advantage, his movements a deadly dance of precision and overwhelming strength. He disarmed the Knight in a flurry of strikes, then drew his sword. In the final exchange, as Solarius Knight charged with one last, glorious burst of golden energy, Kurana sidestepped and drove the blade straight into the god's heart.

Solarius Knight staggered, golden blood flowing. He looked down at the sword, then at Kurana, and smiled peacefully. They sat together once more on the shattered peak, the god leaning against a rock as life ebbed.

"You have surpassed me," Solarius Knight said, voice fading but warm. "I am proud, Kurana. Truly."

Golden fumes began to rise from his body, shimmering particles lifting into the wind. The outer god dissolved slowly, his essence mixing back into the world he had shaped for so long. Kurana remained seated, sword still in hand, watching the golden light scatter across the sky. Tears stung his eyes. Grief, respect, and the heavy weight of legacy.

The mountain fell silent. The disciple was now truly alone with the power and the responsibility he had inherited.
