Pots and dishes appeared one after another, carrying everything from fragrant curry and rice to pasta and fresh salad. He had summoned far more than they could possibly need, remembering that the two women had eaten little more than a small snack earlier.
Amanda and Veronica were immediately drawn to the food, though neither reached for anything at once.
"Won't you eat with us?" Veronica asked, her gaze settling on Kyle.
"You two start. I'm not hungry."
Amanda let out a weary groan. "But I wanted to be fed, you know. I'm too tired to even move."
