It had been three days since Veronica and Amanda had attempted to reach the temple, only to fail each time. Unlike the other raiders, however, they had not been driven back by the Sentinels. Some of those who had tried before them had been met with such immediate force that they had nearly lost their lives.
The two women had received no such treatment.
The knights had simply allowed them to sit near the gates, side by side, unmoving and unbothered by the guardians standing on either side. The gates of the temple, however, remained firmly closed to them.
Many have tried to talk to them and call them back. However, they remained firmly sure about their position, not swayed by a single of them.
At some point, Layena also arrived but was sent back by Veronica who knew that the Sentinels wouldn't allow her anywhere close to the Temple.
And now, they waited. Away from the world, and quite closer to Kyle than anyone else.
