"What happened?" Amanda asked as Kyle returned to the car and slipped into the seat beside her.
"Nothing," Kyle replied. "We just had a quick chat. I thanked him for the information."
Amanda grinned knowingly.
"I bet you weren't just thanking him."
Kyle let out a quiet chuckle.
"Well... forgive this jealous side of me, but I didn't like him from the moment I saw him."
Amanda nodded in agreement.
"I felt the same way. He was always so clingy. Even back then, he kept asking me to play with him. If I refused, he'd wait outside my house for over an hour until Grandma finally told me to go join him."
Kyle gave a small shrug.
"I guess those moments meant a lot more to him than they did to you."
Amanda shrugged as well.
"Forget about him."
She started the engine, and moments later, the car rolled onto the road.
As they merged onto the main street, Amanda glanced at Kyle.
"When's your counseling session tomorrow?"
"I'm not sure. It'll probably be in the evening."
