A storm of shock raged in Qin Xiao's mind. He knew the Ancient One, the Supreme Sorcerer, was powerful, but he never imagined she was *that* powerful. Could she even sense his mental exchanges with the System in his mind?
"I really don't understand what you're saying. If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave!"
The Ancient One was someone he couldn't afford to provoke, let alone defeat. What if she accidentally uncovered his secret?
Qin Xiao still felt the urge to make a quick escape. In that instant, he even regretted accepting Thor's mission. After all, Odin was also a Skyfather-level powerhouse, and who knew what mysterious methods these beings possessed?

Qin Xiao couldn't even roll his eyes, so he could only curse inwardly about how pathetic it was to die like this.
Fortunately, Gu Yi only probed Qin Xiao's soul and mental fluctuations. The feeling of being restrained vanished as quickly as it had come.
In an instant, Qin Xiao regained his freedom and slumped back onto the sofa, the sensation of being utterly powerless still lingering.
After taking a few deep breaths, since he couldn't fight and couldn't run, Qin Xiao's usual reckless spirit resurfaced.

She formed a hand seal with her left hand, and a faint green energy ring materialized around her wrist.
"Holy shit!"

Since that was the case, Qin Xiao stiffened his resolve.
"What's so special about the Time Stone? Do you think you're the only one who can see the future? Haven't you heard of the Book of Changes and Eight Trigrams, the Hetu Luoshu? I can calculate the past five hundred years and the future five hundred years with a flick of my fingers."
Seeing Qin Xiao's frank admission followed by his nonsensical boasting, Ancient One smiled slightly, withdrawing the energy from her hands.

She stopped mid-sentence.
"Even what? Dare you finish your sentence?"
Although Gu Yi had withdrawn her magical energy, Qin Xiao still maintained a slight distance, his face guarded as he asked, "If you're not going to reveal your secret, I have to keep some defenses in place. Kid, want to team up with me?"
"Team up on what?" Qin Xiao was still uneasy, unsure of Gu Yi's true intentions.
"I can't tell you what we'd be teaming up on just yet. But are you interested in learning magic from me?" Gu Yi settled back onto the sofa with a smile.
"Why would I want to learn magic from you?" Qin Xiao remained standing behind the sofa. He was certainly interested in Gu Yi's magic—that portal alone was incredibly convenient.
But at the moment, Qin Xiao was still wary of Gu Yi, completely unaware of her motives. How could he rashly agree?
"That's right, why should you learn magic from me? That's a good question." Gu Yi stroked her chin.
Suddenly, she formed a hand seal with both hands. The pendant on her chest glowed intensely green, then slowly opened. A emerald-green gem appeared in her right hand.
"Is that reason enough?"
