Chapter 109 - Chapter 110: That Boy

Indeed, the techniques Goku was currently employing were those he had meticulously crafted by fusing his knowledge of magic with his innate martial arts prowess.

The underlying principle was deceptively simple yet devastatingly effective: during close-quarters combat, he would channel specific spells through his physical strikes.

When his fist or palm made contact, the kinetic force was instantly bolstered by a secondary magical effect that bypassed conventional defenses.

"Fire Dragon's..." Natsu began, his cheeks bulging.

"Ice-Make: Lance..." Gray followed, slamming his palms together.

The two had hit the ground and were preparing to unleash their signature spells to assist Goku in clearing the sea of Eisenwald mages. However, they quickly realized their intervention was entirely unnecessary.

In the mere seconds it had taken them to land and find their footing, Goku had moved like a localized hurricane. He had blurred across the battlefield, a literal whirlwind of golden light that "touched" every single one of the dozens of Eisenwald mages present.

By the time Natsu and Gray looked up, the scene was surreal. Every mage Goku had brushed past was either frozen mid-motion like a statue, slumped in an instantaneous coma, or struggling on the ground with their legs hopelessly locked together.

A few of the stronger elites—those with enough raw magic power to resist the status-effect charms—found themselves in even worse shape.

Goku's "light touches" had actually been precision strikes delivered with enough force to shatter bone; they were left groaning in the dirt, their magic circuits in shambles, only to be promptly restrained by the advancing Kingdom soldiers.

"Such... such incredible speed!"

Natsu and Gray deactivated their magic circles, their jaws dropping in unison. In a span of less than five seconds, Goku had circumnavigated the entire station, delivering a finishing blow to every single opponent.

The afterimages he left behind were so vivid it looked as though twenty Gokus had been fighting simultaneously. Not even Jet of the Shadow Gear, the guild's premier speedster who used "High Speed" magic, could dream of reaching such a velocity.

"Goku, seriously... just how many types of magic do you know?"

Lucy, who had just stepped off her broom clutching her Celestial Spirit keys, walked up to the stunned Natsu and Gray. Her eyes were wide, her focus not on the speed, but on the sheer variety of effects Goku had displayed.

First, they thought he only had "Repair Magic" and "Giant Magic." Then he revealed teleportation and mind-reading. Now, within a single breath, he had showcased binding, sleep, and paralysis spells. For a boy his age to master so many disparate branches of magic was practically unheard of in the history of Earth Land.

"I only really use one: Ki Magic," Goku replied with a shrug, his tone matter-of-fact. "Everything you just saw are just different ways of using my 'ki.' It's all the same energy, I just change how it hits them."

To Goku, the classification didn't matter. Whether it was a spell from the Hogwarts library or a technique from the Turtle School, if it was fueled by his internal energy, it was all part of the same whole.

"This 'Ki Magic' is way too versatile..." Lucy muttered, her mind boggling at the implications. She had never heard of a single magic type possessing such a vast array of utility and offensive capabilities.

"Goku! I take back what I said earlier!" Natsu's competitive spirit flared, his eyes burning with fire. "I accept your challenge. Once I'm done with Erza, we're going at it with everything we've got!"

Goku's tail gave a happy wag. "It's a promise!"

"The main event is ending too," Gray interjected, pointing toward the sky.

High above the station, Erza—clad in her Heaven's Wheel Armor—was a vision of silver death. Hundreds of magically conjured swords hovered in a circular formation around her, raining down upon Erigor like a meteor shower.

Erigor, spinning his massive scythe at a terrifying speed, had transformed himself into a Storm Giant, a vortex of wind that deflected the blades with a series of metallic clangs.

But the moment Erigor's gale faltered to catch its breath, Erza's armor shifted in a flash of light.

"Requip: Black Wing Armor!"

The silver-winged angel vanished, replaced by a dark, demonic figure in sleek black plate with bat-like wings. The armor's special property was a massive boost to flight speed and destructive power. Doubling her velocity, Erza became a black streak, bypassing Erigor's defenses and delivering a crushing overhead swing with her heavy broadsword.

*CRACK!*

The Storm Giant's wind wall was shattered instantly.

"What?!" Erigor gasped, his eyes widening in shock. Before he could recalibrate, the black blade slammed into his scythe. The sheer physical force behind the strike sent a shockwave through Erigor's body, causing him to vomit blood as he was hammered out of the sky and into the pavement below.

The "Death God" lay in a crater, his pride shattered along with his ribs. "As expected of the Titania... I've lost."

As an S-Class mage who had assassinated countless high-level targets, Erigor had believed himself to be at the peak of the magical world. Today, he learned the brutal difference between a typical S-Class and a monster from Fairy Tail.

"However... you won't be taking me today!" Erigor snarled, slamming his palms into the ground. A massive, intricate blue magic circle erupted across the station floor.

Erigor was nothing if not cautious. When he had intercepted the train earlier and found Kageyama missing, he had immediately sensed a trap.

He had pre-set a massive defensive array at Kunugi Station just in case. He didn't think he would lose to Erza, but the "safety first" mentality of an assassin had saved him.

"Wind Wall: Storm Mail!"

A violent, high-speed hurricane suddenly surged upward, encircling the entire station. The winds were so dense and moving so fast they formed an impenetrable barrier of rotating air.

"This is my ultimate defensive spell!" Erigor shouted from outside the barrier, his confidence returning. "Even for you, Titania, breaking through this will take time. And time is something you don't have!"

The wind wall didn't just block movement; it acted like a million tiny liquid-steel saws. Anything that tried to pass through would be shredded into microscopic pieces. Erigor planned to wait until they were trapped, then flee toward Clover Town to finish his mission.

"You think a little wind can stop me? I'll blow it away!" Natsu roared. He charged the barrier, his fist wreathed in dragon fire.

*BOOM!*

The moment Natsu's fist touched the wind, the counter-rotational force sent him flying backward. He tumbled across the platform, covered in dozens of shallow lacerations. His Draconic constitution allowed the wounds to knit shut almost instantly, but he looked decidedly bedraggled.

"That's what happens when you use nothing but brute force," Gray mocked, though his own expression was grim. He looked toward Goku. Erza and Lucy followed his gaze.

The Storm Mail was indeed a masterpiece of defensive magic. Even Erza would need several minutes of concentrated effort to find a weak point and pierce it, and by then, Erigor would be long gone.

"Stupid flies!" Outside, Erigor laughed manically. He stayed for a moment longer, savoring the look of "impotent rage" he expected to see on their faces.

But as he looked at Erza, he saw no frustration. Instead, he saw her looking at the small boy standing in the center of the group. Natsu, Gray, and even the blue cat were all staring at the boy with a look of total expectation.

While Erigor was wondering why they were pinning their hopes on a child, the boy simply... vanished.

'A spatial jump?!: Erigor's instincts screamed in alarm. He didn't wait to see more; he activated his wind-flight magic to flee. But as he turned his back to the station, he found himself staring directly into the innocent, dark eyes of that boy.

Goku was standing in mid-air, right in front of him, having bypassed the "impenetrable" wind wall as if it didn't exist.

"Wait, you're not leaving yet, are you?" Goku asked with a cheerful grin. "We still haven't finished our game!"
