As we watched the Pegasus knights take off, we turned ourselves to the lizardman behind us, "And what are you guys doing here?"
"Hahahaha, I, the illustrious Gabiru have traveled here hoping I might be able to assist you." Gabiru announced with grandeur.
"I'll get rid of him." Shion said annoyed.
"Wait, we really did come here to join your ranks. We promise that we will be useful to you."
Suddenly a female lizardmen came from the side, "My brother knows he was wrong and wishes to atone for his crimes."
"You're the captain of the lizard guards?!" Rimuru noticed the familiarity that she gave off.
"Yes and unlike my brother who was exiled…"
"HEY!"
"I was sent here to learn from you."
"WAIT! You're not here because you miss me?!"
"Ew no." The response from his sister made him break.
And just like that Rimuru named a bunch more surbordinates in the form of Lizardmen which evolved into dragonewts.
The captain of the lizardmen guard was named Sokka and her and her team would work under Souei.
The rest of the dragonewts were sent to work in the cave and to gather the magicule infused plants from Veldora's remains.
Vesta's lab was also situated in the cave and was working away on replicating the healing potions that Rimuru makes.
Rimuru and I watched Vesta work in silence. Rimuru was sitting on the table in his slime form and I was sitting next to him by reverting my physical body to a state of infancy.
Time was peaceful at the moment… but only for a moment.
————————————————
Rimuru had sensed a magic meteor barreling towards Tempest and quickly went to intercept it at the crash site, hoping to not let it get close to Tempest.
"So I seems that despite my forcing Milim to change, she still comes here to quell her boredom. I guess she is still the same that she always is." I said to myself in my home.
Although my goal was to subvert her destructive ways, I was glad that she didn't completely change herself.
I calmly got up and slowly walked to the battlefield that would end in Rimuru tempting her with food.
————————————————
When I got there, the battle was already over and Milim was currently trying to tempt Rimuru into becoming a demon lord.
"You know, having majin come battle you isn't exactly an enticing reason to become a demon lord."
Milim's body stiffened from recognition, she turned her head around to my smiling face, "Si-Si-Simon?!" Milim's face was horrified. The man who she both admired and feared, the face that haunted her dreams was right Infront of her, "What are you doing here?"
"Did you forget that this place is also under the protection of Pneuma… and I foresaw your arrival a while ago, not to mention you didn't exactly hide your entrance." I got closer and patted her head, "How you doing Milim, You've been good?"
"Hey, don't do that!" Milim shouted while rubbing her head back in place.
I turned my attention back to Rimuru, " Let explain to you the ACTUAL benefits of becoming a demon lord. You'll become much stronger, you'll get far more recognition and you will earn far more respect."
" Oh, that's more informative. Actually wait, do you two know each other?" Rimuru took in my explanation until he dialed back to our previous conversation.
He had noticed that, not only did me and Milim know each other but Milim seemed almost… afraid of me. Just what had I done to make the destroyer afraid of me.
"You're thinking what had I done to make the destroyer afraid of me aren't you." Rimuru flinched when I guessed his entire train of thought.
"Hey, I'm not afraid of him!" Milim hearing what I said what to correct the impression she gave off.
"Milim, it's written all over your face." I said to Milim, completely unconvinced.
"Well… you… it's all your fault that I'm like this!" Milim turned away from me and folded her arms.
Seeing her stubborn attitude, I could see that she was trying to not face me. I sat down next to her and began pattong her head once again, which caused her to instinctly wander closer to me and purr like a cat.
Everyone there was stunned by this behavioural shift, Milim was shouting at him minutes ago and now she was trying to cuddle up to him.
" I've decided, I'm gonna stay here and see what you're doing." Milim declared which caused Rimuru to look in horror.
" Fine, but then you have to promise to be on your best behaviour." Rimuru stipulated.
" Prsst, Milim on good behaviour, what a dream that is."
" Hey! I can be on good behaviour!"
I just gave Milim a straight glare that made her shrink into her skin, " Milim, your natural instinct upon the slightest inconvenience is to become a nuclear warhead."
Milim staggered back, looking all offended, "Just watch, I can be on incredible behaviour."
"Ok then. Let's go."
————————————————
We had went back to Tempest and I waited for Milim to blow up. The first thing that happened was we met Gabiru.
"Oh, who might this be? Hey there little runt." Gabiru came here, prideful and ignorant as always.
And here it comes, Milim's breaking of her promise.
" I may look like a child but I am actually the demon lord Milim Nava. I'd appreciate if you didn't call me a runt." Milim calmly informed
…
My jaw dropped, 'This wasn't part of the script! Gabiru was meant to be punched out… as he rightfully deserved.'
Milim looked at my stunned expression with smugness.
I came up to her and began aggressively pinching her cheeks, " Who the hell are you and what have you done to my Milim!!?"
"What do you mean, I told you I can be polite!"
"Bullshit!"
"Just watch, I'll be on my best behaviour and not destroy anything!" Milim then skipped into town and went on her merry way.
I deadpanned to Rimuru, "If she does something, then you can just manipulate her with delicious food. That's what I did atleast to control her, well that and showing her tourist attractions and traumatizing her."
"Oh ok… wait what was that last part?" Rimuru took my note to heart until his mind registered the tramatizing her.
"Can't hear you, gotta go!" I said before walking through the fog and disappearing.
