Chapter 119 - The hero kings arrival

Me and Rimuru were on the cliff overlooking the village.

Rimuru looked at me, who had made what could only be described as a swastika, with extreme nervousness.

He saw as I slowly raised my hand into the air Infront of me, "Simon… don't. Simon don't. Don't do it!"

But it was too late, "ALL HAIL HIT-"

"NOOO SIMON THAT'S ILLEGAL!!!!!" Rimuru crashed into me covering my mouth with his one hand and shoving my arm down with the other hand.

Months had gone by and the development of the village was going very smoothly, the development had gone much faster than in the original due to the magical power tools and construction vehicles that I gave.

Now with both mine and Rimuru's personal oversight, we had nearly completed the development of a village.

"Lord Rimuru, Lord Pneuma. There is a… am I interrupting something?" Souei came to us with news only to find a very amusing scene with a wedged X in the backround, "Is there something significants with the X?"

"NO! THERE ISN'T!" Rimuru got up from our scuffle and shouted in desperation, only to realize that he raised his voice unnecessarily, "Sorry Souei, that was rude of me. What is it you wanted to report?"

"There is a squadron of Pegasus knights approaching the village." That report suddenly sent a shock to Rimuru's system.

————————————————

The villages top forces were running to the entrance of the village, meeting their approach and to prepare incase of a battle

Kaijin was running with them, wanting to greet his previous king.

They got there and Kaijin kneeled before the king who had just gotten off his steed, "My lord, it is good to see you once again."

"Kaijin, it is good to see you too, have you been doing well?"

"Yes I have."

Gazel Dwargo moved his gaze towards the slime, " The slime."

" Allow me to introduce myself, my Rimuru Tempest. I'd prefer you don't refer to me like that, although I am a slime, I'm also chancellor of the forest." He jumped out of Shions arms and transformed into human, "Although this isn't my true form, it does make communication easier. So what can I do for you?"

"I'll get straight to the point, I've come to test you worth."

"Meaning?"

"I'll judge you using nothing but the steel of my weapon." Rimuru gasped, "If you insist on boasting about being chancellor of this forest, unless that toy on your hip is just a decoration, you had better accept my challenge."

"Please sir, don't do this?" Dorf, from behind, pleaded to Gazel.

" Would a fight not be the best way to settle this dispute."

Rimuru immediately looked confidant and accepted the challenge, they drew their swords ready to clash.

Suddenly Treyni appeared shocking all the Pegasus knights.

" I guess I should apologize to you for boasting but I would still like to test your worth personally." That really dampened Rimuru's mood.

And then Treyni announced the beginning of the battle.

Rimuru went in first with a sideways cleave and run from the side to attack him from a different angle but failed both times.

Gazel went in for the attack and pushed Rimuru back and almost off-balance.

" Haze: thunder of heaven and earth!" Gazel went in with the feint upwards slash and prepared the next downwards.

But Rimuru was prepared and blocked the incoming slash. And thus Treyni declared Rimuru the winner.

" I'm surprised that you blocked my Haze: thunder of heaven and earth."

" Well it just so happens that my teacher uses that exact technique."

" Your teacher?"

And then King Gazel got the surprise of his life.

Just as everything was wrapping up, something appeared out of no where. The new arrival was a stranger to the knights but to the monster, he was a figure of faith.

"Well, you seem to be getting better with the hazy style Rimuru."

Gazel was confused by the new arrival, he didn't act like a surbordinate to Rimuru, if anything he commanded the same respect from the monster than Rimuru did.

"Rimuru, who is this person here?" Gazel noticed Rimuru's hesitant demeanor and read his mind. His mind was saying stuff like should I tell him and he'll never believe me.

"Go ahead Rimuru, it might give him a nice shock."

Rimuru sighed and just said what was on his mind, "This man is… the god Pneuma."

The Pegasus knights were in a flurry of expressions, some were shocked and others were skeptical, "Impossible, his aura is basically non-existant. He can't be-"

"He is." Treyni exclaimed to the crowd, "I can confirm that this man is the god Pneuma and my master. The reason you cannot sense his aura is because he has placed limiters on himself to restrict his presence and strength."

This made everyone more shocked, evens the monsters joined them as they themselves didn't know about that last part.

"Gazel, spar with me… and call me Simon." I said while walking an appropriate distance.

"It would be an honour to spar with a god… are you not gonna draw a weapon?" Gazel noticed I didn't have a weapon.

My lax demeanor while stirring my cup of tea stunned him, " I can assure, me not having a weapon is a necessary handicap." I turned my head and nodded to Treyni.

" And begin!" Treyni's announcement made Gazel charge at me.

He thrust at me which hit thin air. He found I was lightly sitting on his blade sipping my tea, " You rely too much on strength and no speed."

Gazel didn't respond, instead taking advantage of my position to slash upwards. But once again my figure disappeared and reappeared a couple blocks away.

Gazel figure he'd have to end this now, all or nothing so he decided to try something.

He took a thrusting stance, "Plum blossoms-five petal thrust!"

A hazy technique that attacks five out of ten vital points and the other five are feints, the five points are either the eyes, throat, heart, kidneys, lungs, shoulders or groin.

Unfortunately, Gazel doesn't account for my innate analytical skills and I could decipher it all, the feints aswell say the real ones. Seeing this attack, I decided to try something new.

"Haze: Volt press!" A defensive-counter technique that relies heavily on having a speed advantage. The technique slams the opponents weapon against the grain, absorbs there kinetic energy and slams it back in their face.

And that's exactly what I did, smashing Gazel's armor and sword to bits… all with my teaspoon.

Everyone around us had incredibly shocked expressions on their faces as I finished my tea. I walked closer to Gazel and held out my hand for him to take, " You have incredible strength and skill but lack speed, you should work on that."

Gazel, seeing my goodwill, took my hand and helped himself up, "It's been an honour seeing your fighting technique firsthand Simon."

"Likewise Gazel."
