The table was currently in silence trying to make sense of the new arrival.
"You know when I came here, I was expecting either a bunch of questions or some form of attack. Can you guys please just do something." I asked the group Infront of me.
"Um… are you really… Pneuma?" Ramiris asked skeptical.
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"Well, it's just they you seem so…"
"Ordinary?" I finished her sentence for her.
"Ye-yeah."
It wasn't wrong of them to believe this, there were two reasons for this. One was my physical appearance, aside for the feminine beauty that was very intoxicating for both genders, there was nothing remarkable about me, my attire didn't really scream the appearance of a leader let alone a god.
The second reason was my spiritual appearance, I had no noticeable spiritual energy emitting off of me, I was basically no different than a newborn human.
"I believe you are who you say you are." Guy stepped in with clarity.
" Oh, and why would that be?"
" Simple, the reason is…"
Guy had already taken the first two factors into account, but there was a third factor that made him believe in this person.
"It's your name, your last name that is, Winters. That is the same name that Velzard has and the same name she has been chasing down for years now."
Ramiris seemed satisfied for the confirmation, "Now that we have confirmed the identification…" And then came the anger, "Why the hell did you attack me in my labyrinth!?"
Immediately upon hearing her outrage as if expecting it, I manifested the grayfog in my hands, " It was because of this. When I had first created the grayfog, it was meant to be an extremely powerful artifact that could manipulate all of space and time at a whim. Naturally I needed a good test subject who could contend with it's properties and what better contender than the creator and controller of the labyrinth. You weren't in any actual danger."
Ramiris was surprised and felt slightly scorned, she was used as a test subject so easily and yet he felt no remorse, " You dare use me like test dummy! I will beat your ass, you won't see what's coming to you!"
" Calm down, no one got hurt did they? And frankly you have a tendency to overreact."
" Can I speak?" Dino had gotten impatient and wanted to come here for what he came here… and then go to sleep.
" Go ahead buddy."
" I want to meet the new angel of origin."
" Oh Kevin sure."
The rest were in a state of anticipation as the new individual snapped his fingers and from an ethereal fog came a man that looked like he was bathed in gods grace. The power emanating from him was even greater than the elemental lord from before.
" Hello. Is there something you wanted Milord?" Kevin seemed confused about the nature of his summon.
" I simply want you to introduce yourself to your siblings."
Kevin took a look at the fallen angels to his right, " Hello there, I assume you want something from me?"
" We want to test your strength!" Pico from behind Dino had chimed in with vigor.
Kevin looked to me for authorisation, " Go ahead, Kevin Vs Pico and Garesha, should make for a pretty entertaining matchup."
" Hey, I meant me alone."
" I know, but believe me, you're gonna need the backup."
————————————————
We had moved outside to accommodate the battle properly, " Oh and Kevin, you're not allowed to use your divine key nor your chimera release."
Kevin nodded and the others were deeply confused by my words, but the general tone was that he couldn't go at full strength.
The reason was simple, the two angels along with Guy were under their own restrictions.
"Now begin." My voice echoed throughout the area.
Garesha immediately charged towards the man with her sword and began using Haniel to optimise her attack. The man just created a sword made of ice and blocked the attack with equally efficient defense.
Immediately off the bat, something was off with this man. He had created a sword out of, not regular ice, but true frost dragon magic. Kevin charged towards, not her, but Pico, she had been caught off guard but maintained her composure. She had unleashed a spatial barrier that completely cut off the man's attempt to attack.
The man's hand reached into the barrier and shattered it, he grabbed the angel by the neck and attempted to choke her out.
Garesha had intervened in time to save Pico from being knocked out unconscious.
They both decided that they had severely underestimated the angel Infront of them and went on the offensive at the same time.
They attacked him from opposite angles trying to catch him off guard or ruin his balance.
The man calmly moved his body, parrying their attacks with ease and even getting attacks in that had enough power to normally shatter someone's bones.
It was at this point that Pico decided to use Jibril. She unleashed the skill and aimed it at Kevin.
The attack hit the barrier, which was bad enough but what was worse was what the barrier did afterwards. The barrier absorbed the judgement after heaven… and then sent straight back at 10× it's original power. That attack contained the combined damage that Pico has ever done onto her enermys and yet she was about to feel the attack at 10× the original power.
Before she could feel the brunt of the attack, Kevin spoke in slowed time, "Karmas a bitch isn't it."
The attack struck and Pico felt a rupture in her soul that violently shook her psyche, she felt like she was being ripped apart.
Pico had eventually fallen unconscious from the shock of pain and Garesha had caught her in the air. She looked at Kevin with respect and admiration and pondered how she could catch him by surprise.
Before she could make a move, Kevin had appeared Infront of her and punched her into the ground with a frozen gauntlet, the resulting force causing a continent wide earthquake. Despite the magnitude of the attack, Garesha had successfully blocked it but we're on her last ropes and could not stand another one of those attacks.
In that moment, looking at Kevin launching another attack, Garesha uttered words she had never thought she would, "I surrender."
At that moment, Kevin's fist that was about to hit her came to a halt right Infront of her face.
The frost gauntlet had shattered and in an unexpectedly caring moment, Kevin had picked up both Garesha and Pico into his arms and carried them into the palace.
The spectators were utterly shocked by what they saw, not all of them were so overtly showing their shock but Ramiris had nearly fainted which caused Gabriel to jump in and catch her.
The others were definitely in some form of disbelief, except for Guy who was more amused than anything else.
