Chapter 52 - Divine spirit

Currently, Shizu and Chronoa were on the battlefield training while I was just on the grass watching them. Shizu was easily beaten down but her spirits were on fire and she promised to train harder.

Chronoa came over and sat next to me on the picnic blanket I set up and grabbed a chicken melt, "By the way, why did you come visit? Your last goodbye seemed like you're weren't gonna see her in years."

"Promise, you won't make fun of me?"

"Not even a little bit."

I winced at her response, 'Jeez, how can you both be so ruthless?' But I mustered up the courage anyway, "The reason is… because I… missed Shizu."

"PFFT!" Chronoa almost lost it.

"Hi! Don't laugh! It's not that ridiculous of a reason."

"It's not ridiculous, I was just laughing at the fact that you felt the need to hide this." Chronoa took off her mask and gave me this adorable doting look.

'What the hell, since when did Hinata have such a caring attitude? Has Elysia been acting up again?' My mind began trying to make sense of her sudden change in personality, "Hinata, why are you suddenly so… caring and affectionate?"

"I don't know, your presence just feels calming and comfortable."

'Yep, definitely Elysia.' I decided to leave, to make sure that she wouldn't be influenced by my ultimate skill, " Tell Shizu that I'll see her soon."

I returned home for a change because I completly forgot to tell everyone that I had come out of isolation… I'm the most irresponsible father ever.

The moment I walked back into the lab, a furry creature jumped onto me and began licking my face. Amanises seemed so happy that her tail wagging began distorting space behind her.

" Awe, did you miss me?" I cooed to the little wolf in which her demeanor became angry.

" Why the hell didn't you tell us that you came out!? Why the hell did you spend 8 months in isolation with no response whatsoever!?" From behind Amanises came the terrifying visage of Nyx with her crossing her arms.

" She asked a question. Answer her." Nyx's cold voice echoed throughout the lab.

"Um… I… forgot." I replied sheepishly, while cold sweat poured down my forehead.

If it weren't for all my resistances and regeneration, I probably would've been done in by my own children, "You know that was just unnecessary."

"And you know that what you did was just wrong." Nyx retorted back.

"Oh c'mon, you're grown women, you don't need your old man to hold your hand every step of the way."

"We weren't worried about us, we were worried about you. Dad, we know your strong but your condition isn't something that can be fixed like that, we don't know when it could act up once again!" Nyx complained with ferocity.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you worried." Nyx got up and sat down next to me and began her routine procedure of using Spiritualist to restore parts of my previous spiritual body.

" It's fine, I'm not afraid you'll lose yourself, I just don't want you to be alone when it happens."

" Ok, I promise to not go into seclusion for so long anymore." I kissed my little terminator on the forehead to reassure her.

" Ok. By the way, Treyni said that there's a surprise waiting for you in the ranch."

" Oh."

————————————————

I walked over to the spirit ranch and looked around, 'She told me that the surprise was in the Helios exhibit.' the Helios exhibit is obviously the nurturing zone for light elementals. If Ramiris finds out about this, my ears are gonna get blown off.

I walked in to the exhibit, surrounded by little light elementals attracted to my being, attaching to me like moth to the flame, 'No matter how many times I see it, I still can't get enough of it.' I said as I looked up at the spirit reactor in the form of an artificial sun and attached to the ceiling like a chandelier, constantly radiating solar elemental energy.

I looked down from the ceiling to the two figures who had stopped talking and took note of my existence. One of them was Treyni and the other was… an angel, literally.

This man had two giant white wings and a giant aura of light surrounding it… ok that's where the similarities with angels end, in fact it seems that it's clothes came straight from my wardrobe.

"Now this here is Simon." Treyni said to the elemental, which caused him to suddenly become excited.

"Really, this is my master. Mr Simon was it, please allow me to serve you with my utmost devotion and dedication." The spirit seemed to be ecstatic at my presence and then wandered off without ever getting my answer.

"He seems happy. An elemental of light is quite rare, but that wouldn't constitute your call for me." I asked Treyni who was sitting on the ground enjoying the solar light designed to orbit the area.

"An elemental of light? You're vision must be failing. Check again." Treyni chuckled.

Her words caught me by surprise, I did an appraisal on the angelic spirit and my mind blanked at the information going into my brain.

'An elemental soul? A holy spirit of light? I inadvertently created a divine spirit! Time to put this on the board for all the reasons to self-glaze.' When my jaw dropped, Treyni knew I had found the reason for summoning me.

" Question, was he just attracted to this place due to the influx of natural energy or was he born here?"

Treyni seemed confused by my question but complied anyway, " He was born here, that's why he wanted to follow you. Why'd you ask?"

" I just wanted to know." I collected my thoughts, 'So this isn't the one Hinata found? Good.'

The holy spirit suddenly spoke up, "Master Simon, allow me to serve you in anyway I can."

His submissive attitude to me caused the creative, innovative juices in my mind to start flowing. And Treyni felt a chill down her spine, a very familiar chill, "Anything? Oh you might regret that."

"Master. I promise you I won't regret anything you do with me."

Treyni felt the compulsion to speak her mind and warn the spirit to run away, but running away wouldn't solve anything. It would only delay the problem.
