Chapter 213 - Chapter 214: Still Quite Good-Looking

"You broke your promise!"

The Evil God was held in Kaguya's grip, floating in mid-air like a chick, completely unable to resist. This was natural; after being killed countless times, even a former God-level being had degenerated to a mere Kage-level.

"My man, no one is allowed to touch him," Kaguya said softly, like a protective animal guarding its food. But no one could mistake the undeniable certainty in her words.

"I already helped him," the Evil God argued.

"So I won't kill you. However, I won't let you continue to stay in this world." Kaguya said plainly. Before the Evil God could speak, she reached into his skull.

"You..." The Evil God only managed to utter one word before becoming sluggish and passing out.

"What did you do to him?" Neji asked, pushing himself up from Kaguya's lap with his hands on the ground.

"I sealed his memories of you from his mind, so he won't bother you in the future," Kaguya said with a slight frown, sounding a little unhappy.

"Even you can't kill him?"

Kaguya shook her head. "In a sense, he is the embodiment of the will of all life on this planet. The only way to get rid of him would be to destroy the planet."

"Oh, I see," Neji nodded. Then he asked confusedly, "Kaguya, you... seem to be talking a lot today."

"You!"

Kaguya, who had been nervously anticipating what Neji might say, suddenly had a big '#' mark appear on her forehead. She cursed Neji as an idiot, wondering why she even cared about him.

Then, they fell into silence. Neji looked at Kaguya, and Kaguya stared at Neji. Their eyes met, and a long silence followed.

As for the Evil God nearby, he remained in Kaguya's control, dazed and acting like a bystander.

"Neji, do you... do you think I... I look ugly, right now?" Kaguya asked, looking down, her voice getting softer, her pitiable expression making one feel for her.

Neji could clearly feel Kaguya's nervousness. He turned his head away and said in a very quiet voice, "I think you look quite good."

"Really?" Neji's answer made Kaguya satisfied, and a wave of joy washed over her. Neji's heart skipped a beat as he looked at her exquisite face and pretty eyes, so he quickly turned his head away to change the subject.

"What are you planning to do with him?"

"Although I can't kill him, I can banish him from this world."

"Banish him from this world! You can do that?!" Neji asked, turning his head in surprise.

Kaguya let out two smug hums. Even though she was usually unfazed after gaining immense power from eating the Chakra Fruit, seeing Neji's expression made the corners of her mouth twitch upwards. Combined with her previously cold yet adorably clueless demeanor...

Neji felt his heart skip another beat and turned away again, saying no more.

Kaguya chuckled lightly. She levitated the Evil God, activated Yomotsu Hirasaka, and leaped through space with Neji, arriving over a stretch of ocean.

Neji didn't understand what she did. He only saw a large box carved with four faces slowly materialize. Inside, there were etchings of spells Neji had never seen before.

The box opened, revealing a vast expanse of dark red mist, a space unto itself. Kaguya made a horizontal slash, and the Evil God was thrown inside.

Free from Kaguya's grip, he was no longer dazed. Upon seeing his surroundings, he understood Kaguya's intention and began to resist with fury.

But Kaguya merely glanced at him indifferently. The five Chakra attributes of wind, fire, lightning, earth, and water were controlled by her and poured into the box, suppressing the rampaging Evil God.

Meanwhile, Neji suspiciously examined the box that sealed the Evil God, feeling like he had seen it somewhere before.

The box was large, and carved with four faces...

Wait, isn't this the Empty Box?

The Empty Box, the ultimate weapon from the Sage of Six Paths era. Legend has it that the Grass Village almost conquered the world with it during that era.

"So that's it. No wonder Muku turned into a monster like Oto. It's no wonder the Empty Box is so dangerous. I should have realized it sooner," Neji suddenly understood.

"But why are the Empty Box and the Jashin Cult appearing in different locations?" Neji pondered with a frown. "No, it doesn't matter anymore."

"Neji, Neji."

Kaguya called him softly as she looked at Neji, who was lying on her lap, lost in thought.

"Hm? Is the sealing complete?"

"Not sealing, banishment," Kaguya corrected.

"When did you become so attentive to details?" Neji asked helplessly. Suddenly, he had a flash of inspiration.

Then, he fainted

Two days had passed since the Evil God's invasion. Neji had overused his strength and was now quite weak. The reason he suddenly fainted was also due to this.

However, even Kaguya, who had become the true ancestor of Chakra, couldn't help him with this. He would have to recover on his own by relying on his physical body.

"Lady Kaguya, Lord Neji has only fainted and will wake up soon. Why don't you rest for a bit, and let me take care of him?" Ai Ye entered with food, kindly urging her.

"No, I want to stay with him," Kaguya refused, her three eyes fixed on him.

"But many people have come to see you, Goddess of Rabbits, Kaguya," Ai Ye said with a flicker of excitement and longing in her eyes. Who would have thought that the two people who got lost here would achieve such a feat?

"Tell them to go back," Kaguya said without looking back, her tone cold and proud. Only when facing Neji did she show that shy expression of a young woman.

"Sigh." Ai Ye sighed deeply, knowing there was no use in persuading her further. She placed the food there and left.

Kaguya gazed at the unconscious Neji, using her Byakugan to examine his condition again and again. Inside Neji, something caught her attention—a mass of Chakra radiating a blue light.

From Kaguya's direct perception, this Chakra energy was no less potent than that of the Chakra Fruit.

At this moment, in Kaguya's eyes, the mass of Chakra gradually expanded, emitting a soft blue glow that completely enveloped Neji's body.

Then, something shocking happened. Neji's previously weak body quickly became replenished. The Chakra within him seemed to be pulled, gradually flowing towards the mass of blue Chakra.

"Ah!!!"

Although Neji was unconscious, his body felt pain. An indescribable agony continuously assaulted his nerves, causing him to let out muffled groans.
