Chapter 36 - 36 The Captain's Decision

Luffy stared at Robin, his eyes, usually full of laughter, now only held the seriousness of a Captain. But just a few seconds later, he made a decision.

He walked forward, extended his hand, and grabbed the Log Pose, a symbol of transaction and the unknown, clutching it tightly in his palm.

"If there's no doctor on that island," Luffy's voice was deep but full of power, every word hitting the ground, "I will never let you off!"

Robin merely offered a knowing, shallow smile at Luffy's almost threatening warning, as if she had already anticipated this outcome, and said, "Trust my intelligence, little Captain. It's worth the price."

She turned elegantly, "Then, I'll be taking them with me."

Then Robin walked towards Ms. Doublefinger, who looked conflicted, and Mr. 1, who was still silent.

Ms. Doublefinger's gaze quickly swept over the Mugiwara crew members and the two giants, a mix of unwillingness and relief in her eyes, but in the end, she said nothing, merely following Robin's footsteps in silence.

Mr. 1 remained silent, but before turning to leave, his gaze once again swept over Tomioka, who was weakly coughing, the only swordsman who had ever wounded him. Then, he fixed his gaze on Zoro.

"Three-sword style guy..." For the first time since waking up from the cake ruins, Mr. 1's voice spoke proactively, addressing Zoro: "If you can really do what you just said..."

He paused slightly, then his arm transformed into a blade, pointing at the ground.

"...I'll be waiting for you in Alabasta."

After speaking, he no longer lingered, then turned, his tall figure following Robin, as if the words of acknowledgment and challenge had never been uttered.

Zoro's lips curled into a wild grin, his hand resting on the hilt of wado ichimonji, as if speaking to him and to himself, "Heh... just wait, Octopus Baldy. I definitely won't disappoint you."

Just then, a sound came from the jungle, and Usopp, holding his slingshot, slowly emerged, a little out of breath: "Hey! Everyone! Are you all okay?! That exploding snot-nosed guy has already been taken care of by me, Captain Usopp!"

Sanji exhaled a smoke ring, glanced at him, and said with a smile, "Not bad, Usopp."

Upon hearing the praise, Usopp immediately touched his nose and puffed out his chest, saying without any modesty, "Of course! I am a brave warrior of the sea! Taking care of a Baroque Works agent is simple."

The Mugiwara crew remained vigilant, watching as Ms. All Sunday led the two Baroque Works members to disappear completely into the depths of the dense jungle. Ms. Goldenweek also took Ms. Valentine and quietly left the scene.

It wasn't until their presence completely vanished that the taut string in everyone present finally relaxed.

However, this brief calm was immediately broken by a sound from the other side.

A low, painful groan sounded, and the giant Blue Ogre Dorry, who was lying on the ground, moved his helmeted head and slowly opened his eyes.

His blurry vision focused, finally landing on the familiar figure beside him.

"Ugh... Brogy... you fellow..." His voice was a little hoarse, and he mumbled subconsciously, then tried to support his body with his massive arm.

"Dorry! You're alive!!"

Incredible surprise instantly erupted on Brogy's massive face; he lunged forward, his huge hands excitedly patting and hugging Dorry's shoulder.

"Hey! Go easy! Brogy!" Dorry grimaced in pain, pushing away his friend's overly enthusiastic arms, "Don't hug me! You're hurting my wounds! You idiot!"

"Wah wah wah wah wah wah wah! I'm so happy! Praise the gods of Elbaf!!!" Although Brogy let go of him, he was still as excited as a hundred-ton child.

This miraculous scene attracted the attention of all the Mugiwara crew.

Usopp's eyes widened, both curious and incredulous, and he asked cautiously:

"Um... Uncle Dorry... are you okay? I clearly saw you fall for so long earlier? To survive such a heavy attack..."

Upon hearing this, Dorry's huge hand touched the spot on his chest where Brogy's giant axe had struck him during the recent duel.

He looked at Brogy, then at himself, his tone gradually changing from initial confusion to a sense of ancient wisdom after a hundred years.

"Perhaps... it's because of our weapons, Brogy."

Brogy paused, as if remembering something, and picked up the battle-axe that had accompanied him for a hundred years; Dorry also picked up his greatsword.

Both giants looked at their weapons, then presented them to the Mugiwara crew so they could see clearly.

Nami, Usopp, and Vivi all leaned in to examine them closely, almost simultaneously exclaiming at the weapons before them.

"It's true! Both the axe blade and the sword blade are..." Nami covered her mouth.

"They're both completely blunt!" Usopp finished Nami's sentence, then even touched the warriors' weapons with his finger, exclaiming, "They're really not sharp at all!"

"That's right."

Dorry's voice carried a sigh and another kind of lament for time, "A hundred years... even the sturdiest steel, even Elbaf's weapons, will become blunt..."

Brogy, on the other side, nodded vigorously, his face filled with excitement and a hint of emotion. He raised the almost edgeless axe: "But none of us stopped! Because this is the glory of an Elbaf warrior! This is the steadfastness to a promise! Fight until you truly fall!"

Dorry's huge body heaved slightly, seemingly choked up, and he picked up his greatsword again, looking at it as he spoke:

"...If we were still using weapons as sharp as they were a hundred years ago, then one of us... or rather, both of us, would have long since died."

The two giants looked at each other again, and this time, they both let out hearty laughter that echoed through the empty battlefield, dispelling the last trace of gloom from the recent battle.

"This is truly a miracle!" Sanji exhaled a smoke ring, watching the two giants converse, only now realizing what had happened when he wasn't there.

"Their weapons just happened to be blunt... that's why Uncle Dorry survived..." Usopp murmured.

Luffy grinned, a big smile on his face: "But you guys fought for a hundred years, and it's finally over! Isn't that great!"

Looking at the two giants, then at their weapons, Zoro also marveled, "A hundred years of fighting, that willpower and stamina are quite astonishing."

At this moment, Tomioka was leaning against a relatively clean large stone, his violent coughing having subsided somewhat, but his face was still pale, and he could still be heard coughing between breaths.

He moved his pale lips slightly, his voice soft yet clear: "I... am fine. No need... *cough cough*... no need to change course for me. Following the original plan to Alabasta... *cough cough*... will be fine."
