Chapter 253 - Chapter 253: Blitz on the Ministry of Magic (Part 2) (Voldemort Escapes)

"Everyone here must have graduated from Hogwarts, right?" Hermione swept her gaze gently over every Ministry of Magic official present. Their enemies were only the people of the Fudge faction; everyone remaining could be their friend, so they were worth her gentle treatment.

"Regardless of which house, regardless of which year."

"I believe that in everyone's heart, Hogwarts will always be your home, a sacred place that cannot be violated."

"Even when Voldemort was running rampant more than a decade ago, Hogwarts remained safe, providing education and protection for Young Wizards."

"But now!" Hermione's voice rose sharply. She pointed behind her at the Fudge faction. "Now, when our conflict with Voldemort has not yet fully erupted!"

"Our Hogwarts, the sanctuary for underage Wizards, the cradle of memories for every adult Wizard here, the other home for all of us Wizards, has been violated by our own people."

"Fudge and Umbridge have interfered excessively with Hogwarts. Umbridge even intended to use Dark Arts items to punish students within Hogwarts."

"Fudge and Umbridge are truly insane!"

"Hmph, I already thought they were insane back when they refused to believe Dumbledore, refused to believe Harry Potter, and propagated that Voldemort had not returned!"

The remaining Ministry of Magic officials whispered among themselves; Hermione's words resonated within their hearts.

Hogwarts, wasn't it the other home for all of them? Who would want their own home to be harmed by others?

Student days, that was a beautiful past that everyone wanted to return to but couldn't. Who could tolerate such a "sacred place" where such beautiful pasts occurred being trampled by others?

"To this day! In order to find dirt on Amanda, Umbridge completely denied Voldemort's return and launched a sneak attack on our senior, Senior Marietta, using an excessive amount of Veritaserum to deal with her, more viciously than interrogating a criminal."

"Such behavior makes us, the students of Hogwarts, unable to endure it! It makes us, the students of Hogwarts, have no choice but to rise up in resistance!"

As she spoke, Hermione slashed her right hand fiercely in front of her. "Fudge is old. He is only loyal to power. The Ministry of Magic, the British Wizarding World, needs someone tougher and more enterprising to lead it. Everyone should have an answer in their hearts as to who this person should be."

When her words fell, the Ministry of Magic officials present applauded in support. A tougher, more enterprising young person—if Hermione wasn't talking about herself, then who could it be?

Not to mention what others in the British Wizarding World and the Wizengamot thought, at least the Ministry of Magic officials present, after listening to Hermione's speech, all felt heartfelt support for her.

Even Hermione's speech made the Muggles in the nearby buildings feel their blood boil. Although they couldn't understand some of the terms in these words.

But they could still understand the gist of Hermione's words. Never mind those Ministry of Magic officials; they now wanted to shout in support of this young girl.

In her, they could very easily see the future, see her holding up a piece of the sky.

Only such a person could lead the people toward the future; only such a person could lead the people toward strength.

At this moment, not only the Ministry of Magic officials, but even the surrounding Muggles were stirred up by Hermione.

Clap, clap, clap... Slow and loud applause sounded to the left of Hermione and the Ministry of Magic officials. Amanda had already turned her head to look that way.

Voldemort was walking slowly out of the shadows, grinning strangely as he applauded Hermione's speech.

"Excellent speech, very bewitching words."

He said, spreading his arms. "Why not come and join me? I can give you..."

Voldemort nodded slightly at Hermione. "Give you," he tilted his chin at Amanda, "unexpected power and wealth."

"We can push for reforms together, make the Wizarding World great together; that is what it was always meant to be."

"We can rule the Wizarding World, we can use those Muggles, we can use them to lay the foundation for our future."

If Hermione's speech made the surrounding Muggles' blood boil and they couldn't help but want to shout their agreement, then Voldemort's words made them feel creeped out. Not only did this guy look non-human, but why did his words also sound so inhuman?

"That really disappoints you," Hermione's firm voice sounded. Among the Ministry of Magic officials retreating in vigilance, her figure and Amanda's, moving against the flow, were incredibly conspicuous. "I come from a Muggle family; I come from the Muggle World."

"Whether Wizards or Muggles, we all live in Y Country, we all live on the same Earth; we are all human beings."

"There is no distinction of high or low," Hermione glared at Voldemort, her aura not weakening by even a fraction. "We can cooperate, we can have win-win situations, but there is no such thing as who rules whom, let alone who uses whom!"

"Voldemort," she slowly raised her wand, "perhaps you can make many people afraid, but likewise, there will be even more people standing up one after another to resist you."

"The integration of the Wizarding World and the Muggle World is a general trend, but it will never be in your way."

"My God... this girl is just like Gabriel holding the Great Archangel Sword."

"Aren't they Wizards? Shouldn't this girl be more like Merlin raising a wand?"

"Whatever she's like, I hope this girl wins."

The Muggles in the buildings whispered. With today's operation, Hermione and Amanda not only won over the hearts of the Ministry of Magic officials but also won over the nearby Muggles.

"If I were to betray the people of the British Wizarding World, if I were to harm the people of the Y Country Muggle World, I would rather die."

Hermione held her wand directly at Voldemort, her face showing not a hint of fear.

Voldemort looked at her with a playful smile, and the Death Eaters around him were eager to move.

"Hahaha, stupid girl, dirty Mudblood! You don't know the Master's power at all! You don't know what a precious opportunity you have missed."

"This is your rare opportunity to make your dirty bloodline noble."

Bellatrix, with messy hair and a crazy appearance, spoke neurotically. Amanda raised her eyebrows slightly and pressed her right hand down gently.

Bang!

Bellatrix was forced to kneel on the ground uncontrollably. A Levitation Charm applied nearly half a ton of pressure on her, and the bones all over her body were making teeth-aching cracking sounds.

"So impolite to Hermione, Bellatrix Lestrange. Is this your so-called pure blood? So uncultured?"

Amanda reached out and pressed down Hermione's right hand, which was holding the wand. "Hermione, the person in charge cannot go directly into the field. In such times, please leave the scene to your blade to handle."

Walking slowly toward Voldemort and the group of Death Eaters, Voldemort's snake-like red vertical pupils watched Amanda approaching with vigilance, his hand gripping his wand, but he dared not act rashly.

He had not forgotten his two encounters with this little girl when he went to Hogwarts to steal the Philosopher's Stone. This little girl's oddness had left a deep impression on him.

"And you keep talking about pure blood," Amanda's mocking gaze fixed on Voldemort, "but you don't know that your master, Voldemort, is a half-blood, right?"

"Tom Marvolo Riddle, who lived in a Muggle orphanage as a child and didn't enter Hogwarts until he was eleven."

"I specifically looked at your file records from the orphanage period. Tsk tsk tsk, you were up to no good since you were a child."

"How dare you," fierce intent appeared in Voldemort's red vertical pupils. "Avada Kedavra!"

Bang!

A burst sound rang out. A piece of the ground flew up in front of Amanda to block Voldemort's Killing Curse. The Killing Curse, which usually killed invisibly, only shattered a piece of the ground this time.

Raising both hands and clapping them together in the middle, a crisp clapping sound rang out. The ground on the left and right sides of Voldemort and the Death Eaters instantly detached from the surface and smashed fiercely toward them in the middle.

Boom!

Dust filled the air. Amanda clearly saw Voldemort turn into a black shadow and escape, taking Bellatrix, who was pressed to the ground by her Levitation Charm, with him as he left.

As for the other Death Eaters, most reacted and fled by various means. The remaining small portion were smashed to death on the spot, leaving no corpses.

"I didn't say you could run."

Amanda looked up at the sky. Amidst the dense dust, she accurately calculated the positions of Voldemort and Bellatrix.

Drawing her wand, Amanda swung it fiercely at the position she had calculated in the sky. Voldemort's roar sounded immediately.

When the dust completely dissipated, Voldemort's appearance made the Ministry of Magic officials gasp.

"This, Voldemort is actually injured!"

"Is this the strength of Miss Amanda?"

Once today's events are over, if anyone still doesn't support Miss Granger becoming the Minister for Magic, they would truly be not only blind but also a bit stupid.

Standing on the spot, panting slightly, a long scar stretched across Voldemort's chest. That was the damage Amanda brought him by compressing the Hurricane Curse.

Voldemort glared fiercely at Amanda. His left hand pushed forward, and a ball of Fiendfyre appeared instantly, growing into a huge fire snake in just a few seconds.

Looking at the huge Fiendfyre in front of her, Amanda raised her left hand and snapped her fingers gently, and the fire snake made of Fiendfyre screamed and disappeared on the spot.

The Vanishing Spell is a very useful spell.

Seeing the Death Eaters behind Voldemort about to gather, Amanda was just preparing a Hurricane Curse to finish them all off when dense Expelliarmus spells, Stupefy spells, and various curses flew out from the large pit where the Ministry of Magic was located, catching the Death Eaters off guard.

In the next second, the seventh-year students rushed out of the pit collectively, each of them stained with blood, waving their wands and charging at those Death Eaters.

Seeing this, Amanda turned her head to tell Hermione to be careful, then waved her hand gently at Voldemort, bringing him up from the ground and rushing above the clouds.

"Everyone says you are terrifying," a thundercloud gradually gathered above Amanda's head. "I don't think so."

Voldemort narrowed his eyes at the thundercloud above Amanda's head. "You don't know what kind of magic Voldemort has at all."

After speaking, he turned into a black mist and lunged at Amanda.

Rumble! Rumbling! The thunderclouds in the sky rolled, and flashes of lightning struck down from above onto the black mist that Voldemort had turned into. As the black mist rolled, a green light accompanied by the incantation of the Killing Curse rushed toward Amanda.

Too slow. Amanda easily dodged it with a Levitation Charm and arrived directly above Voldemort, lifting her right foot and stepping down gently.

The Hogwarts seventh-year students, Ministry of Magic officials, and Death Eaters who were fighting each other with magic on the ground only felt the ground tremble.

Immediately after, they saw Voldemort flying out of a big pit on the ground in a sorry state.

And Amanda landed slowly from high altitude. Except for her long hair being blown by the wind, not even her wizard robe was messy.

Who is strong and who is weak is clear at a glance.

Pop, pop, pop... A series of Apparition sounds rang out. Headmaster Dumbledore and members of the Order of the Phoenix arrived at the scene.

Sirius and Mr. Weasley looked at Harry and Ron, who were covered in dust and blood, fighting the Carrow siblings to a standstill, and immediately rushed up.

"Stay away from my godson/son!" × 2

Headmaster Dumbledore waved his wand vigorously, and countless water splashes rose out of thin air. A huge water prison immediately wrapped Voldemort inside.

Amanda, still floating, freed her hand. She did not participate in the battle between Headmaster Dumbledore and Voldemort anymore but turned to face the Death Eater battlefield, keeping an eye on everyone's fighting state, though she did not intervene rashly.

The Death Eaters Voldemort brought this time were not many, and there were no Giants or Werewolves. There would eventually be a big battle between them and Voldemort, so it was better to let everyone practice their hands now.

However, when she saw someone falling into a disadvantage, Amanda would forcibly intervene, using the Levitation Charm to force the Death Eater to kneel on the ground, and would release that Death Eater once the students on their side had adjusted.

The Death Eaters were itching with hatred at her behavior but were helpless. Even Voldemort could do nothing about her, and was even at a disadvantage in the fight with her, so what could they do to Amanda?

Splash... The water prison dissipated. Voldemort staggered on the spot. First Amanda, then Dumbledore—even though neither of them used their full strength, Voldemort felt a bit overwhelmed.

Originally, if it were only Dumbledore alone, Voldemort would have had some confidence; after all, he was already old, and his magic power and reaction ability were not as good as when he was young.

But now he was fighting Dumbledore after being injured by Amanda and consuming his magic power. Of course, he felt a bit strenuous.

Roaring unwillingly, Voldemort's remaining sanity told him that he couldn't go on like this. Turning around and turning into a black mist, he rushed into the crowd that was fighting, grabbed Bellatrix and the Carrow siblings, and withdrew from the battlefield.

Amanda watched Voldemort leave with a calm expression. Of course, she could have stopped Voldemort.

But if she did that, the Death Eaters who had just gathered might disperse and scatter into the British Wizarding World again. The Giants and Werewolves might also calm down again, and those warmongers would hide again.

This was not what Amanda wanted to see, nor was it the most beneficial to them, so of course, she had to let Voldemort go. It didn't matter if he took two or three confidants with him.

It's just that the Death Eaters left here... don't even think about leaving.
