The atmosphere inside the vehicle changed in an instant.
Leo's hand shot to the door handle, ready to move. Teddy was already speaking into his communicator, his voice calm but urgent as he ordered the warriors to prepare for deployment.
Brandon's expression hardened, and every trace of hesitation vanished from his face.
"Move."
The command had barely left his mouth when Leo pulled the door open.
Before anyone could step outside, Tom's eyes widened.
"Wait."
Everyone stopped where they were.
The blinking dot had returned to the monitor.
Tom slowly released the breath he had been holding. "She's back."
Brandon stepped beside him and fixed his gaze on the screen.
"What happened?"
"The pendant must have passed beneath the old stone cellar behind the garden. The thick stone blocked the signal for a few seconds."
Nobody relaxed completely until the blinking dot began moving again.
