Deep in the Black Lake.

Because of Lynn's sudden disappearance, the Kraken did not dare act rashly.

It hovered in place, its eight tentacles swaying slowly, maintaining a posture of high alert.

The intelligence it possessed told it that this human had been angered.

And that human had also become dangerous.

Very dangerous.

The way that eerie aura had just disappeared made it instinctively adopt a defensive posture.

Its head contracted rapidly. Its originally soft muscles instantly tensed, becoming round and spherical, like a giant orb.

The wrinkles on its skin smoothed out in the blink of an eye, and the texture became hard and slippery, as if covered by an indestructible shell.

The blue rings all over its body suddenly lit up.

Those ghostly blue rings began to flicker at a high frequency, one after another, densely packed, illuminating the surrounding dozens of meters of water in an eerie blue.

Each flicker was accompanied by weak ripples spreading outward—that was how it probed its surroundings, searching for the vanished human.

Meanwhile, its eight tentacles slowly spread out, assuming its strongest attack posture.

The flickering frequency of those blue rings reached its peak, like countless eyes blinking in the darkness.

The surrounding water began to churn, stirred into constant turmoil by its magic.

It was ready.

No matter where that human appeared, it would immediately—

Crack!

That bolt of thunder that pierced the heavens crashed down.

No warning, no prelude.

The pillar of light tore through the lake water, carrying the power to destroy everything, and slammed straight into the Kraken.

It was too fast.

So fast that the Kraken didn't even have time to react.

So fast that its proud shell was rendered useless.

Boom—!!!

Sizzle—sizzle—

Dazzling electric light exploded at the bottom of the lake, spreading wildly across its smooth shell like countless venomous snakes burrowing into its body.

That hard outer shell it was so proud of was like paper before the thunder.

The surface of the Kraken's shell was instantly covered in cracks.

The cracks spread outward from the center, dense as a spiderweb.

Blinding light shone through every crack; those were the traces of the thunder ravaging its body.

"Wum—woo—!!!"

The Kraken let out a painful roar.

The sound waves spread through the water, shaking the surrounding lakebed.

"Quite resilient..."

Lynn's voice came from behind the Kraken.

The Krakens's body stiffened abruptly.

It turned with difficulty—its movements were more than ten times slower than before.

Every muscle twitched. Every nerve wailed.

The power of the thunder was still ravaging its body, and the aura of the curse had already begun to permeate its entire frame.

Lynn's figure appeared before the Kraken.

At this moment, not a single part of the Kraken's body could be called intact.

Its shell was densely covered in cracks.

Some cracks were deep enough to expose bone, revealing charred muscle tissue beneath.

Those muscles were still twitching slightly, emitting a faint burnt smell.

Of its eight tentacles, three had already broken off at the root.

The breaks were jagged, the edges charred black, and the remaining stumps were still twitching unconsciously.

The remaining five were no better—some were curled into balls from the electricity, some hung limply, and others were covered in burn marks.

The worst part was its head.

Its originally smooth, round head was now twisted and deformed.

Half of its skin was completely charred black, while the other half was a ghostly pale.

"Quick, look at what's happening in the Black Lake?!"

Someone shouted, instantly drawing everyone's attention back.

At the judges' table, Ludo Bagman scrambled to grab his wand and flicked it toward the giant screen.

In the image, the camera that had been focused on the Uagadou champions instantly shrank, splitting into seven small windows displayed on the screen simultaneously.

"Look! Something's happening with Lynn!"

Someone shouted, and everyone's eyes turned in unison toward that window.

The image enlarged.

Lynn was hovering in the water, facing a behemoth—the Blue-Ringed Giant Kraken.

It was roaring.

The sound reached the stands, and everyone could hear the pain in it.

At that moment, the octopus gathered all its strength, swung a giant tentacle, carrying a massive surge of water, and lashed fiercely at Lynn!

The force and speed were enough to smash a reef to pieces.

Lynn sneered and didn't dodge.

He simply raised his wand.

Swish—

A beam of light shot from the tip of his wand.

That was not just Fiendfyre, nor was it merely lightning.

It was a fusion of both—the intense heat of Fiendfyre condensed into a blade, with the power of lightning woven through it, forming a blue-and-white blade.

The blade sliced through the current.

Silently.

Then—

Sshh!

The attacking tentacle was sliced cleanly in half.

From tip to root, it was neatly split into two.

The remaining five tentacles became six halves in the blink of an eye.

The two severed halves were still instinctively twisting and twitching, and the blue blood hadn't even had a chance to gush out—

Sizzle! Sizzle! Crackle!

The terrifying heat instantly engulfed the severed end.

Before the blue blood could touch the lake water, it was burned into charred scabs.

The scabs covered the wound, layer upon layer, as though repeatedly branded with a hot iron.

The Kraken's body arched violently.

It opened its mouth and let out an even more shrill roar.

The roar was no longer just pain; it was laced with despair.

The surrounding lake water began to emit white steam, rising in clusters and churning through the dark water.

In the stands.

Dead silence.

The young wizards stared with wide eyes and open mouths, their faces filled with shock.

Even the usually fearless Weasley twins looked at each other, unable to say a word.

In the image, the octopus seemed unwilling to die just yet.

Using the last of its strength, it channeled the remaining toxin in its body, frantically gathering it into its mouth.

Those ghostly blue rings, which had dimmed, lit up again—but this time, it wasn't the countless rings scattered across its body.

It was a single ring.

The light grew brighter and brighter, as if it intended to squeeze out every last ounce of its strength to unleash one final strike.

Lynn watched it, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

"Still not giving up?"

As soon as he finished speaking, he flicked his wand gently.

In that instant, the surrounding lake water came alive.

The currents, which had been flowing calmly, suddenly seemed to receive an order, rushing in frantically from every direction.

In the blink of an eye, a giant sphere of water took shape.

The sphere was over ten meters in diameter, completely transparent, with a faint blue glow shimmering across its surface.

It hovered at the bottom of the lake, completely enveloping the Troll Octopus.

Lynn raised an eyebrow.

Casting spells here actually saved him the trouble of summoning water.

The Kraken was trapped in the center of the sphere.

The toxin was still in its mouth, burning its own mouth and throat, but it could neither spit it out nor swallow it.

It could only hover there, glaring daggers at Lynn.

It had ruled this Black Lake for so many years. When had it ever suffered such humiliation?

Lynn looked at it, and the smile at the corners of his mouth deepened.

"Don't look at me like that."

His voice passed through the water sphere, clearly reaching the Kraken's ears.

"I won't mourn for you. Who told you to destroy my fishing rod?"

The Troll Octopus's eyelid twitched.

It truly regretted it now.

If it had known that broken piece of wood was so important to this human, it would never have destroyed it in front of him—no, it wouldn't have touched it at all.

But it was too late for regrets.

Lynn paused, as if considering how best to retaliate.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up.

"Feel the pain."

The words fell.

He flicked his wrist gently.

The giant water sphere began to tremble violently.

The Kraken sensed something was wrong.

It struggled desperately, trying to break free from this damned water prison, but the invisible restraints were more terrifying than before.

It couldn't move.

It couldn't move at all.

It could only watch helplessly—

As things began to condense inside the water sphere.

First a blurred outline.

Then a gradually clearer shape.

And finally—

Seven pairs.

Seven full pairs of hands condensed from water.

They emerged out of thin air inside the sphere, each pair enormous, large enough to grip one of the Kraken's tentacles.

The first pair seized the first tentacle.

Then came the second, the third... all the way to the sixth.

Six tentacles were gripped tightly by six giant hands, unable to move.

And then one final pair.

The seventh pair.

It seized the Kraken's head.

Five fingers clamped onto different parts of its skull, while the palm pressed tightly against its twisted, deformed face.

The Kraken's eyes widened to their limit.

It opened its mouth, wanting to roar—

But the hand gripping its skull covered its mouth completely.

The toxin remained trapped inside, unable to escape.

Lynn watched the scene, the smile on his face devoid of any warmth.

"Do you know what despair is?"

His voice was very soft.

"It's what you're experiencing right now."

Lynn flicked his hand to the side.

The water sphere began to expand.

As it grew larger, the seven pairs of hands gripping the Kraken began pulling in different directions.

Left.

Right.

Forward.

Backward.

Upward.

Downward.

And the pair gripping its head pulled outward with relentless force.

The Kraken's body was stretched wider and wider.

Those tentacles that had already been charred by lightning and mutilated by the blade began to tear under the immense force.

Sshh—

The first tentacle ripped free from the root.

Before the blue blood could gush out, it was swept away by the surrounding currents.

"Wum—!!!"

The TKraken let out a desperate roar.

But the sound was muffled by the hand covering its mouth, turning into a dull, mournful cry.

Sshh—

Then all six remaining tentacles were torn away.

Those severed tentacles continued twitching and writhing through the water, but they no longer belonged to it.

Only the head remained.

Held tightly by the last hand.

The Kraken's body was completely ruined.

All its tentacles torn away.

Its shell shattered.

Its skin charred.

Only its head remained, trembling slightly as it was held aloft by the water-formed hand.

It looked at Lynn.

There was no anger left in its eyes.

No unwillingness.

Only a plea for mercy.

Lynn met its gaze for a second.

Then he shook his head.

"Too late."

He flicked his wand lightly.

The hand tightened abruptly.

Bang!!!

The Kraken's head exploded.

Blue blood, shattered shell, and fragments of brain scattered instantly through the water.

The toxin that had been trapped in its mouth finally found an outlet.

It gushed forth, carrying the Kraken's final resentment, trying to spread—

But the water sphere was still there.

The toxin struck the inner wall of the sphere and was completely contained.

It could only churn and boil inside the transparent prison until it was gradually diluted, decomposed, and finally dissipated.

Everything returned to calm.

Lynn lowered his wand.

The giant water sphere slowly dispersed, merging back into the Black Lake.

Only the pile of remains and the drifting blue blood remained, proof of everything that had just happened.

Lynn looked down.

At the bottom of the lake, the two broken pieces of the fishing rod were still lying there.

He swam over, picked them up, carefully shrank them, and tucked them into his pocket.

Lynn then looked into the distance once more, confirmed his direction, and continued along his original route.

On the shore.

Dumbledore's eyelid twitched wildly.

Good news: still no ashes.

Bad news: it was even worse—it had become dismemberment.

Dumbledore tried to comfort himself. At least there had been a reason for it... perhaps that made it somewhat acceptable?

Edgar's eyelid was also twitching wildly, and he silently began praying that the fishing rod he had stolen would somehow be okay, although, based on his understanding of Lynn, it was unlikely Lynn would actually kill him.
