After the novelty of completing the transformation had slightly subsided, Lynn couldn't wait to test out this new body.

He focused intently, feeling the power contained within the strong wings on his back. After making slight muscle adjustments, he suddenly swept his wings downward!

Whoosh—!

A powerful airflow surged out from beneath his wings, sweeping up the accumulated water and fallen leaves from the ground.

Lynn, in his Raven form, soared lightly into the sky, instantly breaking through the cover of the trees and plunging into the rain-and-lightning-filled sky above.

Raindrops densely pattered against his feather-covered body, making crisp cracking sounds, but most were deflected by the tightly packed feathers, with only a slight dampness seeping in.

The sensation of tearing through the air was completely different from when he was human—more direct and fluid.

Excited, Lynn flapped his wings again, this time directly using [Sonic Flight].

Boom—!!!!

A short, violent sonic boom exploded, almost simultaneous with the thunderclap nearby.

Lynn transformed into a blurry black shadow, tearing through the violent rain curtain at an astonishing speed. He freely darted, twisted, and maneuvered through the lightning-flashing, wind-whipping sky.

Broken branches and stones swept up by the hurricane came flying toward him, but Lynn, relying on the Raven's excellent dynamic vision, the warning from [Peters Jolt], and the precise control brought by [Perfect Bodily Control], always dodged them lightly by a hair's breadth.

Lynn truly felt a sense of effortless mastery and seamless control over this body, as if he had been born this way.

He hovered beneath a churning dark cloud, his wings vibrating at an extremely high frequency to maintain balance.

Lynn raised one forewing and gently swept it toward an area below.

The moment his wing swept outward, it resonated with the abundant lightning energy between heaven and earth.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Several blue-white lightning bolts, more condensed than natural ones, answered the call and accurately struck a few ancient trees below that had already been battered and left teetering by the wind and rain.

Where the lightning struck, the bark instantly charred and exploded, while the internal moisture rapidly evaporated with a hiss— screeching sound, billowing white smoke.

"It really works!" Lynn felt exhilarated.

The effect of [Form Resonance] was tangible.

He circled once more in the air, sensing the subtle differences flowing through the bird's body, when a bolder idea suddenly popped into his head:

Since I can cast spells in my Animagus form... can I cast Transfiguration on myself? Temporarily change the Raven's appearance?

This thought made his heart race.

"Wand, accio!"

Pfft! Whoosh—!

A small hole burst open in the soil below, and Lynn's wand shot upward, breaking through the rain curtain and accurately flying toward the Raven in the sky.

Lynn adjusted his posture and steadily caught the flying wand mid-air. The feeling of gripping the wand shaft with his claws was somewhat strange, but secure enough.

Hovering in the air, he began attempting to cast a spell on himself.

His claws waved the wand, tracing complex patterns while he silently recited the Transfiguration incantation in his mind.

A flash of light briefly surrounded him.

The next moment, the Raven in the sky with deep, splendid plumage underwent a noticeable change in body contour: its wings became wider and longer, its tail feathers shortened, the shape of the feathers on its head and neck altered, and its beak became more curved and sharp. In the blink of an eye, he transformed into a sharp-eyed Eagle!

"Success!" Lynn felt a surge of joy in his heart.

He tried flapping his wings; the Eagle's flying posture was slightly different from the Raven's, requiring some adaptation. But soon, he discovered a problem.

This externally obtained form through Transfiguration was completely different from the Animagus transformation, which was an innate, seamless change from the inside out.

He had to divert part of his focus to continuously maintain the Transfiguration effect, like wearing a "coat" that needed constant magical reinforcement.

While flying, he could feel a slight sense of separation, and it wasn't as effortless to control as the Raven form.

Moreover, casting other spells in this "shelled" state was noticeably more difficult.

"But... something is better than nothing!"

Lynn was still happy.

This was equivalent to having an additional emergency disguise method. Although it couldn't be maintained for long, it might come in handy in specific situations...

----

A few days later, in the morning.

Saturday—a time that should have been spent enjoying the lazy weekend—but Hogwarts' sky was still shrouded by thick lead-gray clouds.

Rumbling thunder rolled and echoed between the distant mountains and the Castle towers.

The rain wasn't as violent as it had been a few days ago, but it continued steadily.

Clearly, the effects of the super storm "catalyzed" a few days earlier were unusually persistent.

Not to mention the Black Lake water flooding the Castle a few days ago, which had kept the Professors guarding the lake and dealing with mudslides for several days.

For the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team, this was undoubtedly bad news.

They had finally managed to secure the Quidditch Pitch's usage rights for the entire day from the schedule, and the whole team had eagerly prepared for an important tactical practice session.

The Captain and team members had been looking forward to it for days.

However, facing the rain outside the windows showing no signs of stopping and the reality of low visibility, they reluctantly announced the cancellation of today's training.

Safety came first, and besides, training effectiveness would be greatly reduced in such weather.

Thus, the team members who should have been roaring and racing across the pitch were now listlessly huddled in the common room.

But this terrible weather unexpectedly benefited the Gryffindor Team.

Their Captain, Oliver Wood, was a Quidditch fanatic with an almost obsessive passion for training.

In Wood's eyes, rain wasn't a problem at all! Quidditch training must not stop! Even if knives were falling from the sky, he would still race across the pitch under protection.

He even believed that training in the rain could better hone the team's willpower and adaptability.

So, when news came that the Hufflepuff Team had given up their field usage rights, Wood immediately and without hesitation led his team members into the rain, beginning their "rain-or-shine" daily training.

In a corner of the Hufflepuff Dormitory, Edgar Bones—the team's Beater—was sunk deep into a soft armchair.

He wasn't maintaining his Beater's Bat as usual, nor chatting with his teammates. Instead, he sat there with his arms crossed and lips pursed, staring unblinkingly with a resentful gaze—mixed with disappointment, frustration, and a hint of accusation—continuously fixed on Lynn, who was sitting on the opposite sofa trying to hide behind a copy of Advanced Potion-Making.

The presence of that gaze was too strong, almost tangible, piercing straight through the book's cover.

At first, Lynn could pretend not to notice it, focusing on the paragraph about moonstone solution stability on the page.

But after a few minutes, the staring made the back of his neck prickle, and the letters on the page seemed to dance.

He finally couldn't bear it anymore. Snapping the book shut, he met Edgar's gaze—which seemed on the verge of condensing into water—and spoke irritably:

"What are you looking at? Haven't you seen enough?" He pointed at the still-pouring rain outside the window. "Besides, weren't you also having a blast firing at the clouds with great excitement back then? Now you're blaming me?"

Lynn wasn't wrong about that.

That day in the Forbidden Forest, Edgar's excited shouts while operating the Anti-Aircraft Gun, along with his eager cries for "more, more" after every round, had all been witnessed by the other two and Dodo.

"I..." Edgar was taken aback, a flash of embarrassment crossing his face as he muttered softly, "I didn't know the consequences would be this serious back then... Who knew the rain would last this long and refuse to stop... My training..."
