Lynn gripped the handle and pressed down gently. With a click and the sound of a lock disengaging, he walked into the Director's office, softly closing the door behind him.

The Director looked up from a report. When he saw a teenager with distinct East Asian features walking in, his eyebrows shot up in confusion, his eyes filled with bewilderment and scrutiny.

At this time, this unfamiliar young man... which subordinate's child had wandered into the wrong room? Or was it a visitor brought by a partner organization? But the secretary hadn't given any prior notice.

"Young man, may I ask... which of our staff are your parents? Is there something you need?"

His gaze lingered for a moment on Lynn's somewhat casual attire, seemingly evaluating his background.

"Sorry, sir, you wouldn't know even if I told you."

The Director was clearly displeased by this vague and impolite answer, his brow furrowing deeper. "Young man, this is not a place where you can just..."

He didn't get to finish his sentence.

Lynn had already made his move. He couldn't be bothered to waste words with this man; his movements were so fast they left only an afterimage in the air.

"Stupefy!"

The Director's eyes widened suddenly, then the light in them rapidly faded. His body went limp, slumping into his large leather office chair as he fell into a deep coma.

Silence returned to the office, broken only by the rhythmic ticking of the wall clock.

Lynn walked around the desk to the unconscious Director's side.

He extended his wand and lightly tapped the man's temple.

"Legilimency!"

In an instant, countless images, sounds, text, and numbers... flooded into Lynn's consciousness like a tide.

He needed to filter quickly, discarding irrelevant daily trivia, work meetings, and fragments of family life, focusing instead on memory shards related to 'artificial weather modification,' 'catalytic equipment,' and 'special inventory.'

[Memory fragments flashed by: complex weather model blueprints... discussions at a conference table about aid for drought-stricken areas... a folder marked 'Top Secret'... an old file codenamed 'Project Skylark'... call logs with military personnel... a heavily guarded location on the southern coast whose name appeared repeatedly...]

Lynn's consciousness acted like a high-efficiency processor, rapidly capturing this information. Soon, he found the core content he wanted.

"Found it," Lynn muttered to himself, opening his eyes.

There was indeed existing artificial rainfall technology and equipment available, including special shells and launchers for high-altitude dispersal.

But the storage location...

"Gosport... Defense Munitions Base?" Lynn withdrew his hand and rubbed his brow, feeling a bit speechless.

Do these two things have even a shred of direct connection? Meteorological equipment kept in a munitions base... this method of resource classification is truly unique.

If one had to force a connection, it was probably because these special dispersal devices were essentially modified shells and launchers, using similar storage and safety standards, which is why they were tossed into a military-controlled ammunition depot.

Having obtained the exact location and relevant information, Lynn didn't delay any further.

He raised his wand, aimed it at the unconscious Director, and precisely erased all memories from the brief moment he knocked on the door until now.

The Director would only feel as though he had suddenly dozed off or had a brief lapse in concentration.

After finishing this, Lynn leisurely walked through the campus just as he had arrived and successfully left the Meteorological Bureau.

Arriving at a quiet, deserted alley corner outside the campus, Lynn stopped. He looked up at the sky, estimating the direction and distance.

He bent his legs slightly and suddenly kicked off the ground!

Bang!

The ground beneath his feet shook slightly as Lynn's figure shot into the sky like he had broken free from gravity.

The wind whistled in his ears, easily pushed aside by a barrier Lynn created. The towns, roads, and fields below retreated like fast-moving models...

About five minutes later.

The southern coast of England came into view.

Lynn reduced his altitude and speed. Based on the coordinates in his memory and the outline of the massive building complex below, he quickly locked onto his target—the Gosport Defense Munitions Base.

Even from the air, one could sense its significant scale.

High walls, dense barbed wire, watchtowers, uniform warehouse buildings, crisscrossing roads, and sparse moving patrol vehicles...

"Tsk, it really lives up to a place that puts 'Defense' and 'Munitions' together," Lynn paused in mid-air, applying a stronger Disillusionment Charm to completely blend into the background of the sky. "It's truly huge, and truly... a hassle."

Comparing the vague directional information extracted from the Director's memory, he locked onto a relatively independent area at the northern end of the base where warehouse numbers had special prefixes.

That was where 'non-standard,' 'experimental,' or 'special-purpose' munitions and equipment were stored.

Lynn began to descend silently, heading toward Special Warehouse No. 3.

Silence reigned all around, save for the faint sound of vehicle engines in the distance and the whistling of the wind through the barbed wire.

The warehouse was a typical large, single-story military building, a reinforced concrete structure painted grayish-green with its doors tightly shut.

A small squad of soldiers with live ammunition was on duty at the entrance.

Lynn landed gracefully in a patch of shadow behind the side of the warehouse, almost merging with the wall.

He observed the soldiers, intending to use the simplest method: a powerful Muggle-Repelling Charm to make them leave.

He raised his wand, aiming in the direction of the soldiers, the incantation about to leave his lips.

However, at that very instant—

An icy chill, like fine steel needles, suddenly pierced his neck and spine!

Lynn's pupils constricted. He had no time to think about where the danger was coming from or what it was.

He had absolute control over his body. Almost the same instant the warning came, he interrupted his casting, exerted force with his legs again, and sped higher into the air!

Almost the next second after he left his spot—

"Huohahahahaha—!!!"

A burst of wild laughter suddenly erupted from the shadows on the other side of the warehouse! The laughter echoed over the open base, sounding exceptionally harsh and eerie.

"Enemy attack?!"

"Who's there?!"

"Alert! Sound the alarm—!!!"

The soldiers at the door were startled by the sudden laughter, their muzzles snapping toward the source of the sound.

Everything happened too fast.

"Da-da-da-da-da—!!!"

The rapid fire of rifle shots suddenly rang out, muzzle flashes flickering in the shadows at the side of the warehouse! But the shooting wasn't continuous; it was extremely brief, starting abruptly and stopping just as suddenly!

Simultaneously, there were several short screams and muffled groans!

The entire process, from the start of the wild laughter to the burst and cessation of gunfire to the silencing of the screams, took no more than two or three seconds!

The soldiers who had been on full alert just a moment ago were now all lying in pools of blood!

The firearms and ammunition in their hands had all vanished without a trace.
