Chapter 249 - Chapter 251 Since the Avengers themselves had no objections

They had just discussed and agreed that this method of achieving immortality through external means must be strictly controlled and not allowed for everyone to use recklessly.

Otherwise, it would only lead to more terrible consequences.

Since the Avengers themselves had no objections, Rhodey naturally wouldn't either.

He didn't care who used this thing, or how many people used it!

Anyway, he didn't need it himself.

And Gwen and the others had all already obtained tens of millions of years of life.

Given that;

What would happen to this thing in the future had nothing to do with him.

Once the Avengers sealed the cave.

Everyone also turned and left, returning to the outside.

"How do you plan to leave Blue Star? If you need us to give you a ride, we happen to have a spaceship that can take you away."

Tony looked at the Eternal and directly planned to send them away.

Upon hearing this;

Ajak and the others smiled bitterly and shook their heads.

"No, we have our own way of leaving."

Seeing this, Tony had no objections. He turned to Mandarin, just about to ask him when he planned to release Daredevil.

As a result, Mandarin directly released his control over Daredevil.

And threw Steve's shield to him.

"You know how to find me. If anything happens, you can send someone to contact me directly."

Mandarin left a sentence and then departed with his beloved woman.

"We'll be leaving first too."

Rhodey said to Tony, extended his hand for Gwen and the other two to grab onto him, and then instantly vanished from the spot.

Mandarin and Rhodey had both left.

The Avengers, with the Eternal, boarded a modified Quinjet and quickly vanished into the horizon.

Next, how the Eternal would leave, and how the Avengers would discuss the selection plan for the long-lived candidates—all of this no longer had anything to do with Rhodey.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Military was still trying to contact the Avengers...

To question them about the identities of the people who had appeared in New York earlier!

Unfortunately,

The U.S. government had already fallen out with the Avengers.

At this point, the Avengers wouldn't bother with them so quickly; even if they were to answer some questions, it wouldn't be now.

They were very busy now.

No time to bother with these people!

...

Half a month later.

The Eternal had already left Blue Star about ten days prior.

The Avengers supervised the entire process.

They watched them board a spaceship and depart, and only after confirming that their spaceship had left the Solar System did they finally relax.

And today,

Rhodey drove Wanda to a church.

Neither Rhodey nor Wanda were Catholics.

The only reason they came here today was purely because they were invited.

In the car.

Wanda, sitting in the passenger seat, was dressed beautifully today and had applied light makeup, making her already pretty face look even more stunning.

"Rhodey, are Gwen and the others really not coming?"

The car quickly stopped in the parking lot outside the church.

"No, Gwen has an important class today, and Daisy wants to sleep in and doesn't want to attend this kind of event, so it's just the two of us."

Rhodey unbuckled his seatbelt and said with a smile, "Besides, you already know John and the others. What? Are you also afraid of crowds?"

Wanda shook her head.

She didn't have social anxiety.

She was just confirming.

After all,

Being able to attend his friend's wedding alone with Rhodey was indeed a small surprise for Wanda.

"Let's go, let's go in."

Rhodey said to her.

The two walked hand in hand into the church.

Today was John Wick's wedding day.

After meeting at the amusement park last time, he sent the wedding invitation a few days later.

And the date set on it was today!

Inside the church.

Rhodey led Wanda to a seat.

There weren't many people around, mostly relatives of the bride.

John, on the other hand, had almost no relatives present.

Rhodey was John's good friend, and three other good friends of John's also came to the wedding, each bringing their girlfriend or boyfriend.

Besides that,

John had no other family.

So the entire church looked a bit empty.

Most of the seats were vacant.

Given John's connections, he could certainly have invited more people.

But as a retired assassin, John didn't want his former colleagues to interfere with his life.

As for Rhodey?

He was an exception.

Anyone who knew Rhodey's assassin identity knew he was an extremely lazy fellow.

In the past year, he hadn't taken a single mission.

You could even say he had already retired, and it would be completely accurate!

Therefore,

For John, inviting Rhodey wasn't considered allowing former colleagues to interfere with his life.

Soon,

The wedding began!

Western weddings are quite boring.

It's just a group of people sitting below, watching the newlywed couple make vows and speeches above.

However, Rhodey found it quite interesting watching John look so nervous up there.

He never imagined that John Wick, the Night Demon who wouldn't even bat an eye when killing, would one day show such a nervous and anxious expression.

When the priest in the middle asked if anyone objected to the marriage, Rhodey subconsciously glanced towards the door.

But no one kicked the door in.

He was a little disappointed.

When he looked back, he saw John glaring at him, and couldn't help but chuckle.

"I'm so envious of Helen! She looks so beautiful in her wedding dress!"

Wanda beside him suddenly said with an envious look.

Hearing this, Rhodey gently held her small hand.

"You'd be even more beautiful if you wore a wedding dress!"

Rhodey said.

Upon hearing this,

Wanda's face immediately turned red.

"I didn't say I'd necessarily marry you!"

She whispered.

Rhodey smiled and gently pulled her into his arms.

"Wanda, you'll definitely be a really, really good wife in the future."
