At exactly 5:00 A.M., Tiger arrived wearing his Assassin outfit. The streets were still relatively quiet, but there were already several cars and people moving around in front of him. Tiger waited there for a while, looking around as he remembered what Rigarta had told him.
After a short wait, someone suddenly tapped him on the shoulder.
Tiger turned around and saw Rigarta standing behind him. He looked at her and said, "Oh, so you came."
Rigarta nodded and replied, "Yeah. We have to go to the Assassin Quarter now."
Tiger sighed and looked at the time. "We're already this late, and on top of that, we have to go to the Assassin Quarter?"
The two began walking together while Rigarta explained the reason they were heading there. "We're going there because that's where our mission will be assigned. Whatever mission we get, we'll have to complete it from there."
Tiger looked slightly surprised. "Wait… we're getting a mission right now?"
He then sighed again. "Well, since we're already doing this, I guess there's no point complaining."
After walking for some time, Tiger and Rigarta finally reached the Assassin Quarter.
They entered the building, but the Boss wasn't there.
Tiger looked around and asked, "Where did the Boss go?"
Rigarta answered, "She had to go somewhere. She'll come back."
She then walked toward a room and pressed a blue button on the wall. A holographic display immediately appeared in front of them.
Tiger looked at it with curiosity. "So pressing this button brings up the mission hologram?"
"Exactly," Rigarta replied. "Whenever we press this button, a mission will appear here. Normally, we can only choose one mission."
Tiger immediately looked relieved. "Only one? That's good."
But Rigarta continued, "However, during an emergency, we can take another one. That means we can complete two missions at the same time."
Tiger stared at her. "What?"
Before he could ask anything else, Rigarta started explaining the mission displayed on the hologram.
"Look. This is our mission. We have to stop this man. He stole money and is trying to escape. If necessary, we're allowed to kill him. His name is Brill."
Rigarta studied the map carefully and pointed toward a particular route. "He'll be passing through this road."
Tiger looked at the hologram, then back at Rigarta.
Rigarta immediately said, "Come on. We don't have much time."
The two quickly left the room and took the elevator down. As soon as they reached the lower floor, Rigarta pointed toward a car.
"Get in. Quickly."
Tiger got inside while Rigarta took the driver's seat. She started the car and followed the vehicle carrying Brill.
As she drove, Rigarta suddenly told Tiger, "There should be a gun inside the compartment near your seat. Take it."
Tiger looked at her in disbelief. "Why? A gun? You're joking, right?"
He opened the compartment.
There really was a gun inside.
Tiger stared at it for a moment before looking at Rigarta. "If we're not supposed to kill anyone unless necessary, then why do we even need this?"
Rigarta didn't answer.
Instead, she continued driving.
A few moments later, they reached their location. Rigarta stopped the car, and both of them immediately got out.
They took their guns and entered a nearby building.
Tiger looked around and asked, "Where are we?"
Rigarta quietly replied, "Brill should be somewhere around here. He doesn't know that we've arrived yet. But there are a lot of guards, so we need to move carefully."
She looked toward the building ahead. "He's on the fifth floor of the second building."
Tiger glanced at a sign and became confused. "But we're in the first building. Why are we going inside this one?"
Rigarta became irritated. "Because this building is a shortcut to the second building!"
Her voice was loud enough that a nearby guard noticed them.
Both Tiger and Rigarta immediately took cover against the wall.
The guard slowly walked toward them, carefully checking the area. He looked around several times before suddenly spotting them.
He immediately reached for his gun.
But before he could pull it out, Tiger moved forward and struck him with his leg, knocking him down.
Rigarta looked at Tiger with surprise. "You're already becoming an expert."
Suddenly, another attacker came from behind Tiger with a long knife.
Tiger didn't notice him.
Rigarta reacted instantly and kicked the attacker in the head, knocking him unconscious.
Tiger sighed and looked at her. "You handled that even better than me."
Rigarta simply replied, "We should keep moving forward."
She began running, and Tiger followed her.
Soon, they reached a window.
Without hesitation, Rigarta jumped through it and landed on the third floor of the second building.
Tiger followed her.
Rigarta looked around and explained, "We're on the third floor now. We still have two floors to climb. But it isn't going to be as easy as it looks. The fourth and fifth floors are heavily guarded."
The two began moving upward.
Rigarta stayed ahead while Tiger followed behind.
As they reached the fourth floor, another guard suddenly grabbed Tiger from behind.
Tiger reacted immediately and overpowered him.
More guards began appearing.
Rigarta quickly engaged them in hand-to-hand combat, taking them down one after another.
Eventually, they reached the fifth floor.
The moment they arrived, several of Brill's bodyguards opened fire.
Tiger and Rigarta immediately took cover.
Rigarta looked around and said, "We can't stay here. We have to do something."
She began firing back at the guards.
Then she looked at Tiger. "Go! Chase Brill. I'll handle them here."
Tiger immediately ran forward.
But when he reached the corridor, he saw Brill getting into an elevator.
Brill looked at Tiger and gave him a smile before waving goodbye.
Tiger tried to move toward him, but several bodyguards blocked his path.
Tiger didn't want to kill any of them.
Just then, Rigarta arrived.
She raised her hand, and ice instantly spread across the bodyguards' arms and legs, freezing them in place.
Tiger looked at her powers in surprise. "Those are some seriously good powers."
Rigarta quickly replied, "We don't have time for that. We're already late. If we use the elevator, we'll lose him. We'll have to jump from the building."
Tiger didn't hesitate.
Both of them jumped.
They landed on the rooftop below and immediately continued moving.
Tiger looked around and asked, "How are we supposed to follow him now? He must already be far away."
Rigarta smiled. "We still have time."
The two quickly reached a small moving vehicle.
Rigarta climbed onto it first, but when Tiger tried to get on, he suddenly lost his balance.
Rigarta grabbed his hand and pulled him up before he could fall.
Tiger breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank God…"
They continued moving until they reached their next location.
As soon as they arrived, both jumped off the vehicle.
They had managed to reach the location even before Brill's car.
Rigarta noticed a nearby car and used her powers to manipulate its movement.
The vehicle suddenly moved toward Brill's approaching car and crashed directly into it.
The impact caused flames to spread around the vehicles.
Tiger was caught in the flames, but he remained completely unharmed.
A small flame appeared on his shoulder.
Rigarta looked at him and suddenly released a breath of blue fire.
She smiled. "I have to admit it… you did pretty well, especially considering this was your first mission."
Tiger looked at her. A small red flame also escaped from his mouth.
He glanced at the burning vehicles and replied, "Your ice powers are pretty amazing too."
The car in front of Tiger continued burning with red flames, while the vehicle Rigarta had manipulated burned behind her with blue flames.
Tiger calmly looked at the wreckage.
"I don't really get hurt by things like this… but what happened to him?"
He paused.
"I mean… Brill."
Rigarta looked toward the burning vehicles and calmly replied, "Don't worry about him. This whole thing disappeared before too many people could see it. Besides, there aren't many people around here anymore."
Tiger looked ahead at the burning wreckage.
