Damian's face turned cold as he snapped his fingers, and the violent black clouds above immediately began settling. The red lightning running through them gradually faded as the remaining Chaos Beasts stopped pouring from the sky, invisible chains dragging in the creatures already summoned back into the portal.
Damian watched the chaos for a moment before deciding that the beasts had become more of a burden than an advantage. They were uncontrollable, easily manipulated by Lazarus and capable of becoming weapons against his own side. There was no reason to continue feeding the battlefield with creatures he could not command.
"Heh! And so what if you still have a trick up your sleeve? Do you think it changes anything? Do you think Dantalion didn't have a trick up his sleeve? Against the Abyss, all tricks are useless!" Damian hissed while continuing to spin the black lantern above his head.
