Racheal's laughter faded into a soft, lingering smile as she studied Damian's face, her fingers tracing idle patterns along the nape of his neck. The taste of his blood still warmed her tongue, sharp and sweet with that unmistakable undercurrent of power that always left her slightly lightheaded. She shifted on his lap, deliberately pressing her hips down against him, feeling the growing hardness beneath her.
"I have a sister-in-law," Damian repeated, half-amused, half-bewildered. "And she's stabby."
"Very stabby," Racheal confirmed, her voice dropping into a husky murmur. "But we can talk about Ruby's little terror later."
She leaned in, brushing her lips against the fresh bite mark on his neck, her tongue flicking out to soothe the twin punctures.
"Right now… I want you. All of you. No politics. No fox. No world-ending crises. Just us."
Damian's hands slid up her back, one tangling in her hair while the other gripped her waist possessively.
