A second figure stepped into existence opposite Sol, suspended upon the wind with flowing golden hair dancing behind him. His long fur lined golden trench coat rippled gently despite the violent pressure filling the heavens while his weary golden eyes burned with restrained fury. The moment countless demons recognized the newcomer, hope erupted throughout the streets below.
"It's Lord Lazarus!"
The cry spread from one district to another until it became a deafening chorus. Countless demons raised their heads toward the sky, their despair giving way to excitement. Moments earlier they had been convinced the city would be reduced to ashes beneath Sol's madness. Now their ruler had appeared personally. Whether they believed he could truly defeat the tyrant or not hardly mattered. At least someone had finally stepped forward to confront him.
