Everyone present stiffened and several people instinctively looked around. One man even took half a step backward before catching himself.
The sudden ignition felt less like someone lighting torches and more like the building itself had awakened.
For several seconds their attention drifted from the altar as they stared at the walls and ceilings in confusion.
Then slowly their eyes finally returned to the source of the confusion.
However, to their surprise, Damian's burning eye behind the fox mask rested on one person amongst the 40 man crowd.
