Adrian's head snapped toward the source of the voice and his entire body locked instantly.
Someone was floating above him.
The moonlight behind the figure was completely blocked, turning the person into nothing more than a dark silhouette suspended in the sky. Adrian could not make out the face. He could not even tell what clothes the person wore.
Only his eyes were visible. Two burning purple eyes stared down at him.
Adrian's lips parted slightly but no sound came out. His thoughts stalled, his breathing stopped and his body refused to move no matter how much he tried.
Fear rooted him in place so completely that even blinking felt difficult.
Meanwhile, Damian froze immediately after speaking and hi brows slowly furrowed. His nose wrinkled as disgust appeared on his face.
